Thanks for the video mate. Stuck in lockdown in Melbourne. Hopefully be heading up the coast to my home town of Merimbula Christmas time. Hoping to get onto a few big flathead 👍🏻
Nicely done with the change in tactics. Might be a bit of a drive for you, but Brogo Dam is excellant for Bass, if you ever get up that way. Another great vid, Love your work!
Yeah sometimes all it takes is a spot change🤙🏼 I’ve never heard of brogo damn but I’ll be sure to give a look into it. Does it go good in winter as well? Cheers larry
Another f...n beauty mate , well done and keep em comin . 👍 Believe it or not mate that's about average size in the Parra , 😉 Come up this summer and give it a go champion . 🤙👌😀
Yeah it’s awesome to see the channel growing so quick. It’s all because of people like you that constantly comment and support the videos. So thanks ra😁
@@joshdfishing They're in general slower presentations. They allow you to literally dance a soft plastic right in front of them and keep your lure in a bass's strike zone for a lot longer. Aside from the hard body suspending jerkbait, they're all soft plastic presentations. Another thing you could try for winter bass is wacky rigging a worm style of plastic. Pitch it right next to cover, let it fall-then lift your rod tip once or twice and let it fall again. If you don't get any kind of strike, pull it out and do the same thing at the next hole. Another technique you can try is "Jig-n-pig" or "yo-yo"ing a lip-less crankbait. These can all be winter bass techniques.
Great vid mate ! I’m one of those people stuck in lockdown -.- soon as it’s over though I’ll be heading down to St. George’s basin to chase the unicorn flatty 😂👌🏽
Really enjoying the vids Josh. I've been chasing the winter bass in my local Werribee River in Victoria so I know how tough it can be. Managed eight all winter, all taken from the surface on the Jackall micro pompadour. Keep up the good work.
Nice breambo Josh, and congrats on 1k which you hit only recently and your already at 1.1k now which is even more crazy, i do have a question though, what are your top 3 cheapish bream lures? And what pound leader should I use? Oh and jigheads because I know that slim smimz are gonna be in that list. 😏
Yeah it’s crazy how fast the channel is growing❤️ and yep the slim swimz will be on the list. There is so good bream lures out there that’s for sure but they are all around the $10 range. But for an amateur fisherman like myself I would choose 1. Slim swimz for sure. In motor oil or midnight oil. They cost $10 a packet and you get 8 in the pack. I like to use 1/12 jig head in a size 1. Very natural in the water👌🏼 2. Pro lure crank, atomic crank, daiwa infeet rollin crank. They all work the same and they are guns on bream. Super easy to use. Just point the rod tip down and slow wind. 3. Cranka crab - it’s a little on the expensive side. But man does that lure work👌🏼 Also 6 pound leader for bream always. Can even go 5 if you wanted but 6 is the best for bream 100% Hope this was some what helpful😂🙌🏼
@@joshdfishing Geez wasn't expecting a list like this but big thanks mate! Really needed that, oh do you think 10 pound braid n' leader will be good because thats my flatty setup, im not sure if thats too heavy for bream though, anyways cheers mate, extremely helpful! 👍👌😅
@@backyardfishing6359 little heavy for bream i normally use nothing over 6lbs. bream will still hit the heavier stuff but because bream grow so slow a big bream would be over 20 years old they are pretty smart and can tell that the line is there and they wont hit it
Haha it’s a cool little box aye. I got mine from my local compleat angler. It was the last one. You might be able to get them at your local. Or search fishin.com.au. Just look up samaki foam box. And it will come up.
Can't wait to see this youtube channel in a few years hit 1 million subs its the best yewwww
Aw thanks Riley. Appreciate that dude❤️
Another excellent video. You live in paradise .Beautiful country side.
Nice bream well done.
Cheers mate
Yeah I’m pretty lucky to live where I live. And have so many different fishing opportunities. Glad you enjoyed mate👌🏼
So isnt the season closed to let them breed ??
Hey mate, cheers for the viewing pleasure as usual.

No wet trackies. What a day
Hahah or even wet shoes
Hey josh what do you think of the shimano kairiki braids, I just got them and it seems to fray quite easily, a bit worried about breaking off easily.
Thanks for the video mate. Stuck in lockdown in Melbourne. Hopefully be heading up the coast to my home town of Merimbula Christmas time. Hoping to get onto a few big flathead 👍🏻
Thanks for watching machael. I’ve only ever fished merimbula when I was super young and with bait😂 but I’ve heard it’s a gun spot

@@joshdfishing Yeah, not too bad, but bring a kayak or boat. It holds a big Bass tournament each year and is stocked with 10,000 fish each spring.
What state are you in? Isn't bass season closed in winter?

That skim cast technique is slick mate, love the action 👌
Hahah love a good skip cast. Very satisfying to do, and even more satisfying why it gets smacked off the top🐸
geezz...great casting mate love it
Cranka of a vid josh. Can’t wait until the next one. You always come up with a top notch, great vid. Keep it up 🙌🏽👍🏽

Great vid Josh, I've tryed fishing that creek as well, only a matter of time before you get more subs mate, loving your channel Josh.
Apparently it’s a good little creek. Produces very well in summer. And appreciate ya on going support mate. Legend👌🏼
A drop shot is something we do for bass in winter over here. Shakey heads, Carolina rigged craw dragged on the bottom...suspending jerkbait.
Yeah I’ve seen those crazyyy looking rigs people use for bass. I wonder why they prefer stuff like that over your soft plastics? Any idea

Great Vid mate, intro was awesome!
Cheers adam🙌🏼 I’d love to see a bream video from you, fishing the zman slim swimz. And if you have any techniques that works better than mine.
@@joshdfishing Maybe in summer on a worm, hook across the top, using the Pink grubbing technique.
