In this video I try to push the flight time on my SZD-54. If you are into gliding you need to pick up this inexpensive glider.

I just flew mine, 90 minutes on a 1500 3S battery, and I had one minute left on my timer but I got the "Transmitter Battery Low!" warning lol. I was still almost 1000' high and quickly switched it to landing flaps and high rates to get it down before my transmitter shut off. I had one red tailed hawk, 2 young eagles,, and a bunch of turkey vultures all come and investigate it during the flight. The eagles were sneaking up on it, like they had bad intentions, but I turned on the motor and got above them so quickly they left in a hurry.

A lighter battery actually adds flight time. I use a 1300 3S and even without thermals can stay up almost an hour because the sink rate is so low. I use less than a minute of battery time to get it to altitude each time then just sit in my spinning lawn chair and fly up to a mile away at 500-700 feet. When I put a camera on it, in an underside mounting, it reduces the time to about 10-15 minutes.

Extreme Glide Time??? It would be helpful to design some way to get the camera mounted without drag.
Do you fly nose heavy or neutral neutral to just a touch tail heavy is good for thermals plus the setup you have for your camber great video looking forward to the next one

The Cg is pretty spot on. I put the camera as close to the fuselage and on the cg mark. Doesn’t seem to mind, just some trim.
Is the camera operation a simple on/ off button or do you have to be connected to a Wi-fi app.?
It is a simple, one button unit. You can also connect to your phone for viewing angles, and video adjustment.
I use an admiral 3s 1000 mah. Floats around like a night radian

If you added a second battery of the same size, what would you estimate your flight time would be?
Not sure, the extra weight might be counter productive. Intact, people have been saying try a lighter and smaller battery for longer flights. Go figure.
