- In this video Isolated sloped footing is design with reinforcement.
For One way shear check and two way shear check is shown in next video (part-2), the link given below.

Very fantastic explation madam.Thank you madam
Your videos are educative. Please I request for the design of the following structural elements in the cases of compression reinforcement and tensile reinforcement using BS 8110
1) 3 Going staircases and circular staircases
2 Circular column and rectangular columns
3) Cantilever beams and slabs
4) Combined Footings
5) Design of the roof
And also how in the cases of earthquake zones, seismic loads and wind loads using British Standard, BS 8110 ( Including the checks)
Mam I always have one doubt about footing,, please clarify this mam ....If we calculate the bending moment about longer direction why we multiply (upward pressure x width) & on shorter side (upwards pressure x length) also after calculating moment about longer direction to resist that moment do we need to provide reinforcement in shorter direction or along the same longer span... Please clarify my doubt mam I m totally confused here
Why using factored load in upward pressure? While using working load in calculating area of footing. Your all videos are amazing.
the net upward pressure is greater than the safe bearing capacity of soil. is it correct?
if you are calculating Ast for beff or resisting width, reinforcement calculated shall be provided in width of beff or resisting width only. and reinforcement shall be continued in the rest of the foundation with same spacing. for eg. you have calculated 12# bar of 27 nos for resisting width of 750 mm , all the reinforcement shall be in the same width only. spacing which you will get from that i.e. 750/27=28 mm (although it is very less, you have to increase the bar dia to maintain spacing). in the remaining part you can provide less reinforcement or same reinforcement i.e. 12# @28mm c/c. but again for 125 mm spacing your bar dia shall be 25#. total Ast shall be 3062mm2.
Mam can you please make a video on how to calculate moment in different members of the structure please
No doubt your all the videos are very helpful thanks for this video & personally I have one more request for upload a strip footing design video where both side should be properties line plz
Plz design edge & corner footings
Mam you assumed edge depth and offset from column...Is there any method to calculate the same instead of assuming these data..??
Please clarify...
Thanks for all your valuable efforts..🙏
Please make a video of design of pile caps like 3p, 4 p etc.
Mam can we assume factor load?
Main reinforcement provide which direction of rectangular footing
While calculating net update pressure we should take working load not factored load
Pls include shear design checks also
Thanks
How did you calculate no. Of bars
Hello hi tnx
Hi madam can you make footing calculation video for while Mz is more than Fy
If you are assuming Overall depth (D) 800mm then what was the point in calculating dy and dx?
Bcoz we need to calculate reinforcement percentage with effective depth only.
Madam is there another method for isolated footing..bcuz in my work office colleague are doing another method and I’m starting to confuse with the entire process..
Check for one way shear and two shear
ruclips.net/video/vRPEaVvOP4A/видео.html check this
Why we have to take working load y not factored load?
Same question I have. Do you got answer.
You Will Do Mistakes in W Value From mx and my
Pls solve b^2+0.3b-9.16=0
b=2.88 (your answer)
b=2.65(my answer)
Pls explain where m i wrong?
Your answer(2.65) does not satisfy the equation
2.88 is the right answer. Please apply Sri dhar Acharya's formula.
@@dipankarroychowdhury4807 For Sri dhar formula ax^2+bx+c, but your calculation ax^2+bx-c,in this problem is b^2+0.3b-9.16 How to apply
