Dr. El-Gamal at 5:44 for cantilever stair, what about the ties or stirrups to hold the main transverse rebars. What's the minimum steel requirement that is to say the rebar diameter and the spacing?
Thank you for the great video. Regarding the area where the reinforcement goes from the bottom to the top, what do the standards specify about the distances for this?
WONDERFUL. Beast explanation for an important topic from a great DOCTOR. Thank you Dr. Sherif for this nice explanation for the important topic that is related to concrete and structures. And thank you for your valuable time.
Thanks for your precise presentation; i must confess that your in depth engineering knowledge has benefited me. God bless you abundantly. I would like you to look into design of shear walls according to BS 8110.
Why do you assume stairs spanning between edge beams to be simply supported and not fixed? I suspect that in the ends top reinforcement is also needed due to negative bending moment (in case of both ends fixed beam).
Very informative video Doctor! It explains the concept of concrete stairs in a very simplistic yet informative manner. Great Video! May Allah bless you.
Very efficient, very excellent explanation may god protects you and increase your knowledge more and more. If you mind dr, please I'm looking forward to see a videos of flat slab, the circular columns, pile, raft, pile raft foundation. I hope and wish to watch them here soon dr. Thank you very much💕.

Such a detailed presentation sir Would you mind producing a tutorial on how to calculate loads for different types of high rise buildings more so on how height of buildings affect reinforcement details for columns at different floors? Thanks
Thanks, so much for this detailed explanation Dr. However, Sir, my question is about the design of uniaxial and biaxial columns that you had treated earlier, I quite appreciate your efforts but in my country, most reinforcement bars are not produced to the expected standard specification of 460N/mm2 which is required in the BS code charts. Most Engineers are therefore forced to design to 410N/mm2 to compensate for any inadequacy in the reinforcement production. Sir, my question is how we can use the BS code charts for the design of uniaxial and biaxial columns using 410N/mm2 instead of the 460N/mm2 required by the BS8110 code charts. Thank you so much.
In this case, you may use the 460 curves but you need to increase the area of steel reinforcement by about 12% due to the difference between 410 and 460. This is only an approximate solution not an exact one.
How are you professor? Iam Balabyekubo I.J.C. Iam begging you professor to cover moment redistribution in beams according to BS8110 How to shift / reduce bars from where they are many to part where bars are few? Thank you
