  • Howdy ya’ll. Today we’re in for a treat. A glimpse into Egypt in the mid-19th century. These photographs, attributed to Antonio Beato, date to 1850 through 1875. When digitized a handful of these images exceeded sixty megabytes in size, meaning, for lack of a better term, they are highly detailed.
We will zoom in, check out the details, and I have provided the original title (sometimes translated) of the image from over 150 years ago. Enjoy!

Excellent footage & music to boot! The clarity of the images are incredible. History has been completly altered from what we've all been told & it's great to see the remnants from the "Old World" that still exist. 👍👍👍👍👍

So how did they have these high resolution pictures in the mid 1800's?
My brother, who is not into any conspiracies, old world or anything, said to me the other day that he was looking at some tik tok clip showing pictures of old time stuff and he said "it's weird how clear these old pictures are".
    Yes, it is.

They shouldn't even have photos in the mid 1800's. Only in modern times is that even possible. In the 1970's, photography was less than 100 years old. No exceptions. Now look. 10 min HD video of 1895 New York City. Yeah, that's normal.

My thoughts exactly, and I do not recall 'old' images having this high clarity!

Cameras are simple, invented in the 1840’s.
Landscapes are easier to take than people.

It's not so much the camera, as it is the film.
Imagine the difference between 8 bit, 16 bit, 32 bit videos or pictures.
8 bit looks very block like. The higher the "bit" the more detailed. I think we can all agree on that.
Film has infinite bits you might say.
Or, just one. The whole picture is "projected" through the lense onto the film as one bit. One image all in one shot.
Digital cameras scan an image one bit at a time. It projects the image onto a sensor that puts all these small peices in order to create an image. Going back to the size/amount of bits used.
Not sure if any of this helps, or even makes sense, but a video comment section isn't really the best place to teach or learn photography.
Actually, I'm more concerned about the cropping & photo manipulation that goes on in these pictures . . . ✌️😎

Resolution depends of the size of the silver salt grains, the ISO. Outdoor argentix pictures are always clearer.

The picture at 8:50 has many things about it to make it very strange. The one thing that caught my eye first is the bottom left corner of the building. What appears to be a doorway of some kind that had been sealed with different block like the structure had seen a few remodels before what's seen remaining of it in the picture.

1:01 high detail images are made using larger lenses. Old cameras were all one offs. The first 100 cameras all had hand polished lenses made by master craftsmen led by world renown engineers for some of the wealthiest investors in the world. To put it mildly: there were NO CHEAP CAMERAS before 1919. Hence every image was a work of art and meticulously gone over for details. The resulting high resolution images are due to the quality of the lenses. Nikons and canons do not have poor lenses but all DSLR, Mirrorless, and Cinematic cameras have standardised (tiny) lens sizes today. This is to create predictable qualities of images which can be easily digested by our standardised formats. Big lenses = more detail

I mean the only thing I can think of is the cameras where huge so had ma'd aperture ratios, like 3 ft r something lol. Like think how a telescope works and how small cameras aperture are well the cameras where probably huge so captured so much detail due to huge aperture ratios from massive lenses. Maybe lol

Depends which era.. biblically the whole creation is no more than 6000yrs old, or atleast the presence of man. But the majority believe creation was 6 literal days, i side there currently. I think the investigation/theory of if 1000yrs was added is interesting.. our cities are much older than were told. Look what happened back then:
Joshua 24:13 (KJV) And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, *and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them;* of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.

But to transfer/translate it without the negative, it needs to be digitized to be shown online. Or stored. In doing that, it does lose detail by pixelation.
That's why he has to say 60MB, or whatever amount.
