    On the last picture , was the darkest color caused by 40 or 10 volume ?

      probably the 10 because the higher the number the brighter the color

      It was the 10. 10 volume is only 3% peroxide (like the kind you use for teeth or cuts) and mostly water, so it doesn't lift much. 20 and 30 looked the same but 40 got the lightest because it opens the cuticle a lot more with larger oxygen bubbles- which is why it's not recommend on fine or processed hair.
