The 10 look gorgeous. Such a beautiful chocolate brown. When I do “highlights” in my black hair I’m gonna go for the 10. Since I want them to be a little darker I’ll probably only leave the bleach on for 30 mins though :)

Well thats a great suggestion for another video.. hmmn. Just going off what I know...bleaching the hair is exposing the cuticle layer of the hair hence the lighter the hair the more covering have to been exposed. However bleaching the hair with 40 vol may do damage quickly if it sits on the hair too long... in this case since the timing was the mostly the same for swatch.. we will assume the 40 volume swatch be the most compromised.

thanks for watching! if one's hair is compromised from previous chemical processes including previous coloring, bleaching ,relaxers or even heat damage from heat tool... then faster processing with 40vol might too harsh for the hair esp if application is not fast and the bleach sits on the hair too long..

My natural color is very dark brown towards black. As I age my greys/white roots are proving incredibly resistant. 20 volume covers very nicely, it’s washed it looks nice and after a couple of days the color lifts and the white shows up again. So its not working. Have tried several hairdressers/medium high end brands. A hairdresser recommended trying 10 percent. I just need to cover the roots and keep them decently covered (same or similar color as my natural one, dark) for a decent period of time. Is it worth trying 10%? Great video congrats

yes 20s are all the same in diff brands in terms of percentages..I will say make sure you use a color line and its dedicated developer because they work best together.

Hi, I have black hair and I have been using bleach with 10 developer 3 times (once a week, 30 mins, and olaplex no.3 only once during those 3 bleaching process) and now its level 4 bleached hair. I want to go to honey blonde, but slowly since I have 2b to 3a hair and I read and watched a lot of youtube videos that for wavy/curly/coil hair needs to go slow in order to mantain the curls (which so far my curls still mantains, looks about 80% similar to my virgin hair curl patterns). But now I am wondering, if I am going too slow? Or should I bleach again with another 10 vol, do protein treatment and then use highlift colour (like schwarzkopf highlift) with 30 vol and another olaplex and protein treatment to mantain my curl patterns and achieve honey blonde?

    • @UrManeAveTv

Your video is very helpful... I have short relax/natural black hair. I want to lighten my hair to a medium brown. Do you prefer a 10 vol? with toner and how long should I leave it on? Please respond!!

becareful with relaxed hair...to not damage your hair..10vol and watch it closely so it doesnt lift too fast...

Thank you 🙏🏾 very informative video. I’m trying to get my hair (human wig) to 613 color, I’ve bleached it a few days ago with BW2 and a 50 developer but it was a fail (I got it to a medium-light brown color and it’s still in pretty good condition ) I was told by a friend who’s a stylist to mix 50+20 developer to help lift it to the color I’m trying to achieve. What do you recommend I should do?

condition the wig and rebleach it

Hey, I currently have dark brown hair (natural) and was dyed once for fun and is currently still dark brown but dyed. I am planning to beach up my whole head making every hair strand as light as possible. Which volume developer would you recommend. Thankyou x

it depends on how light you are trying to go.... and how fast you can apply the lightner evenly.. I say start with 10 or 20 vol

Have you ever considered being a teacher, cuz you’ll be very good at it. And I guess the higher the volumen of the developer the more damage does to the hair?
