Thankful for this video. Bleached the first time using this vid as a guide. Have done it a few times now but always have to come back to this video to remind myself of the process. Thank you!
Y’all please don’t try what she did unless you KNOW that 1) Your hair is as strong as hers (if you have finer, less dense, weaker/ damaged, or low porosity hair, please don’t do this without professional help (even then, reconsider!)) 2) If you are 100% certain you are NOT protein-sensitive (Aphogee products, especially the repair package/products, are strong PROTEIN treatments! Your hair will get dry, rough, and brittle immediately after rinsing if you’re low porosity/ protein sensitive; coconut oil can have a similar effect) 3) Double bleaching and/or protein & 🥥 oil had not been an issue for your hair in the past. 4) or Your hair is already very short like hers, so you don’t mind keeping it short (or cutting even shorter) for a while to help maintain its remaining health. The thing with blonde hair is, it may look cute in the immediate days of putting it in, but it is VERY high maintenance & the health of your hair declines very rapidly thereafter… not to mention the toll heat & styling products add to this; once the damage starts, it is often very hard/ time-consuming to regain strength & length (if length was loss, which it often is due to breakage). Depending on the individual’s hair, It can take a yr or more to recoup from the damages of bleaching. Take it from a person with fine, low-po, protein sensitive short to medium-length (pixie to colar bone range when colored) hair, who has had it blonde about 4 times in my life. Each time was a different experience, the 1st being the best (due to its virgin state), the last being the worst (platinum blonde short cut) & took the longest to recover from. 😢😢 Thankfully, been back to black for about 6 yrs now & keep it between neck (bob) to shoulder length. Be hair safe! ❤❤
You brought up some great points! My hair is very think and very resilient so it managed well. I would also note that if people are planning to bleach they shouldn’t even have braids or other weave styles on their mind. I had to deep condition a lot to maintain my hair health and I avoided using any heat also. Thanks for commenting!
Finally... Someone with similar texture to my hair ( based on how it looks)!😊 Mine is what I like to call super 4c, because it lacks curl pattern, it's also only 4 inches long. I just recently bleached my hair for the first time, 9 days ago. I wanted to go a little lighter but was afraid of the double process so I just colored it red using adore semi permanent. But thanks to your 2-time less-time bleaching process I will consider that for next time around. You seemed to have nailed yours and it looks good on you! Awesome job! 👍🏽❤️ New subscriber here! 😉
Thank you and thank you for subscribing! Yes not a curl pattern in sight team super 4c lol. When you consider switching back to blonde the biggest challenge is going to be removing the red first so I probably wouldn’t hop right into the bleaching process. I would possibly even do a peroxide rinse to get majority of the red out first depending on the strength and health of you strands 😊 again thanks so much for subscribing! 💕
There some colour removal products not sure if that’s the product considered a peroxide rinse but another way I’ve seen and heard to remove colour is crushing vitamin C tablets with water. It removes dyes from the hair strands
@@danielleandrews6996 okay yes depending on how much you are lifting your hair you want to use a higher volume developer. 30 should be fine just be sure to care for your hair properly after and monitor closely during the process so it doesn’t get too bright. 😊

Good Night.💫I have really thin hair 💯and most times when i cream my hair it falls out 😭after a couple of days. I like the idea of changing my hair color 💚but am scared that i have to go through the same process.😔 So i wanted to know if bleaching my hair would cause the same damage🤷♂️ as when i cream it. 💯 What you think❓😊
I am not sure what you mean by cream it. If you are referring to a relaxer or perm though then I would say you you may experience the same results of shedding/ hair falling out. Maybe you could try a rinse that you could put on top to switch up the color instead of bleaching.
Thank you. But i was referring to a relaxer. A particular area of my hair tends to fall out after a couple of days when it's cream and sometimes i think it's because i wasn't keeping it moisture even though at first when I just started styling my hair it wasn't difficult at all until i continously make it my priority but i will listen to your advice and i expect it should be the solution to my problem. 😊
"Good night" and "Cream" are terms my Jamaican family uses, so I feel a connection. "Hi"😊 I have a friend who's hair was in similar condition to yours. I encouraged her to go natural and get treatments until her hair came back to health. She was scared at first because she had been creaming her hair for years. She couldn't even remember what her natural hair looks like. Today her hair is natural and growing, and she is happy bleaching it and getting treatments. I wish you well on your hair journey. One love.
Hi!! Did you use the entire powder pack with the first two ounces of developer ? And when you said the measure was 1&2 for the wella toner and developer can you specify what you meant ..just wanna make sure I’m getting it right
Yes I used the entire pack. To clarify I was saying in the video concerning the toner, you want to use one full bottle of the Wella toner and fill the empty toner bottle twice with developer which would mean you are using approximately 3 ounces of developer per one bottle of toner because the wella toner is 1.4 ounces.
so did you need two packs of powder total? 1 pack for first run through and 2 pack for second run through. do u recommend always using a toner/is it necessary/ how to know which number toner to use? for the toner mixed with the developer, was the developer the same 30 that you used with the powder? Before I used two different developers, one for bleaching, and one for Tone. would you recommend sticking w/same developer. I apologize for all the questions but want to try your exact technique on Saturday 👏🏾👏🏾
I buy bleach by the bucket so I’m not sure the number of packs you need but I would say at least 2. You can use 20 volume or 30 volume developer with the toner. I definitely suggest toning!
You’re gorgeous!!!!! I need to do a color correction but refuse to pay $ 300 plus I have one question, can I bleach in one session and apply the color after? I want to go for a burgundy/ caramel type of color, I hope you can see my comment, God bless you both ❤️💜🙌
Yes you can but you need to be VERY careful. Wait at least 2 weeks after texturizing to do it. I would probably even do multiple sessions, so lighten them deep condition etc . Wait a week or two then lighten again.
Ummm depends on how dirty super is. I would say if you can’t even part your hair because it’s hard from gel or something then wash it but if it just hasn’t been washed in a while then you don’t need to wash it.
@@ChrystleJones thank you. i’m not sure where my brain went, i know better (after having done 3 bleachings ) but did not think of it in that moment. 🤦🏾♀️😊
