- Feb. 2nd day after midwest blizzard. The plow is dated 1956, and until last year it hadn't been mounted on a grader in 25 years. Cobbled together a mounting system in a couple days and was out plowing, still needs work but it gets the job done for now. Works alot better now that they painted it, it was rusty last year and the snow didn't flow off the wings very well. Sorry about the rattles, the tire chains cause alot of vibration.
Good operator. Cleared that mail box by 3 / 16 th inch!
thanks for posting and for not playing music much better to hear machine working !
how refreshing to watch an EXPERIENCED operator...Showed a lot of courtesy not plowing the driveways back in...Its not always speed, its momentum and power...well done
Well momentum is linearly based on speed but... sure!
Pretty cool seeing old equipment called back into service and kicking ass. Thx for sharing.
Wow... !!! My best friend, Great video. Love your channel. Keep up the excellent work!!! Wonderful upload! Keep it up! +thumb up3!
the operator knows the machine.
I want to thank you very much for placing this wonderful video of you plowing with a v plow I used to go with my dad when i was young when he used to plow the roads with a grader and seeing this brought back alot of memories thanks.
Jason Talbot, Me too. When I was little my Dad cleared a lot of the roads by us with an old Cat grader, and I would go along too. This area in the video looked like home.
Remember plowing back in the seventies like that
awesome thanks for sharing! hang some rubber skirting on the top of your plow to deflect the snow dust then you can really have fun when you can see the road haha
Always take as much as you can on the high side,if you don't you have double the amount on one side. I did this for 35 years.
Dam rite ya can't beat bustin the big ones!! many years of it here to! nice vid pard!
Good job Ryan...Like you got it worked out well...Thanks for letting us see this...
Them old Cats just keep pushing
I like the TARDIS sound at the end, I was looking for the Phonebooth.......
Bring out the heavy stuff boys and girls we get to drive the john deere on the streets
Приятно смотреть как работают люди!
may i suggest getting some heavy rubber/canvas material for on top of the plow to help reduce blow back when plowing at high speeds. our old 16G has that feature on the old v plow. it helps out big time with huge drifts
Just viewed the video. I use to plow snow for a living in Michigan. I’ve seen snow so deep that it was drifted across a road and the snow was as high as the telephone poles as far down that road as as the the eye could see. The county used mammoth front end loaders with snow blowers.. It took our county 2 weeks to dig out of that one. Great video. One question. Did your grader have front wheel assist. Thanks, take care and stay safe😀
You was just getting started !! Want more oooo hell yaaaaaa !! I have plowed twice that hight in Wyoming !!
Experienced hands. Give a kid a chance, and they’ll get there.
Once in a twenty five year snow event. Good till retirement now!
Beauty day out! Nice shots! I subbed up look forward to more
Thanks Ryan for a great vid.
Better than nothing I suppose. I use a John Deere 9730 with a 15" Degelman silage blade to open up the road for the milk truck. Pulled the country grader out of the ditch 3 times this year. New operator, the old guy retired. We never lost a mail box with him either. This guys taken out ours once and the neighbors twice this year.
Luke Haskins I would guarantee that when the old guy was new he got some mail boxes too.
Thank you Ryan!
In Finnish there is a saying "Voima puhuu" roughly translated its "power speaks".. Love the rumble :D
No wings on that thing? Most of the towns up here in northern NY run V plows with wings on both sides. All done one trip.
3:19 R.I.P mail boxes.
@rthom86 A wing will prevent you from getting too close to the edge of the road therefore keeping you out of the ditch !
You’re not movin snow if those mailboxes are still on the post. haha
That was a good job RT
Im like a little kid when I remove snow with my 140H cat.
What about all the snowed under mail boxes?
Satisfying
Good job Ryan...
Nice; thanks for the video.
Why not angle the plow to one side and push to one side? This way you still have to push each side once!
BigBoss 429 The operator can’t angle it because it’s a fixed V-plow.
13 years old??
Wings extended?
is this jackson county ky?
And now for my next trick.....

@djwalt8 just about to say that what are the odds you beat me to this video by 1 day lol
