    To any young person: do not feel pressured to get a full time job. Follow your passions, do free-lance work, start a small business. I wish I was encouraged to do those things earlier in life because a full time job is nothing but mind numbing soul crushing drudgery.

    humans were meant to to be like every other organism on earth. Nature provides every basic need, thats all we ever needed, but somehow after thousands of years of being on this planet with all its mysteries and knowing that there are an infinite amount of planets and stars out there, all we have to say for it is a 9 to 5 job. We fucked this up so bad

      I agree, its a corrupt system designed to suck money (and sanity of staff members) out of people. The well fare of employees is now mostly disregarded over money, that's how dysfunctional this society is, that why they now employ foreigners as they can charge the cheap since many don't earn much money anyways. Sometimes I wonder whats the bloody point, to be abused by the system (I dont think so). trust is in short supply these days, sometimes I feel that the people and governments system is betraying me. we are being taken advantage of by the system, for the sake of economics and power.

Love, a 35yr old almost-Nutritional Therapist and loving it 😋🍃👍🏻

      I'm 24 and feel like I am trapped with no way out, because I need an income and jobs are hard to come by, but I know the only way out for me, is having a better education that may take years to gain, but in order to do that I need more time, which means ending up unemployed again.. but once you have experienced a little bit of wealth giving that up is very hard, but I guess it has to be done if I'm not really enjoying my job at times.

    • @bkang
      @bkang 8 лет назад +6

      +Non Stop Aww I really feel your pain.....the reason I stayed as long as I did in my job was because I was determined to pay off my student debts before I left! I almost managed it, I just had a small amount left by the time I finally quit, but by that time my physical and emotional health was so bad that I knew it was time to prioritise my own wellbeing over my bank account. I love that you aspire to further education, that's awesome!! But I know how expensive that can be too. Look into grants and awards that may help you to fund your degree; there are loads out there for people who are just starting out ☺️👍🏻 However I also have to say, don't wait until you can afford to do a degree to start making changes. Do stuff out of work time that you love - cultivate skills and passions, try new stuff, doodle, write, make music, join a sport club, watch RUclips tutorials of stuff that interests you - anything that makes you feel alive!! Because a degree is not always the only way to find....

    • @bkang
      @bkang 8 лет назад +2

      +Non Stop .......a path into something you love. Often times the next step in life sneaks up behind you and surprises you when you're just having fun. Like the Blimey Cow crew - they just started RUclips for fun, and now that's their full time thing! I just started posting pictures of food / meals / sweet treats I was making on Instagram for fun, and because I became ill and ended up having to create food that tastes great but without all the stuff I'm allergic to (gluten, dairy, soy, sugar etc) - within just a few months I had over 2000 followers, and my hubby and I are now about to launch a website and turn it into a real business! I have a degree in music lol. This is not what I planned for myself. But awesome things are happening, and I'm loving the journey!! So don't be disheartened......cultivate your passions now, and you never know what might happen ☺️👍🏻💖

      and that's great, and I can understand why you would have that in mind, as nobody wants to have debt on their shoulders, at least you got the majority of your weight off your shoulders, even if it wasn't the best job that you was doing back then, and you made the right decision, your own health is more important then any job, sometimes I think about life too deeply, I have loved ones, who are elderly, they also work but part time, I work full time 42hrs a week, I don't want to have regrets one day, that I never spent enough time with them, I know its all part of growing up going to work etc, being a man with some aspirations, but it kind of hits home when you think about the time we actually do spend away from loved ones lol, I know most of the population do this, but we really do hardly get any time off, which is why I treasure what little time I do get off out of the 20 or so allowed per year, and thank you when I get to that stage, its something I will look in to, I should have done better earlier in life, but since I cant rewind the clock, all I can do is try, and try now.. and yeah its good to do something OUT of the Norm, it can take your mind off things especially when you work in a stressful job.. and lol I love to FEEL Alive, but my trouble is I like the thought of Travel, but rarely get to do it :D and I agree it can do, and I was thinking of starting a youtube channel, but I honestly could not think of a decent name for hours, and the name is like the main thing, but yeah if you make it on YT, that's the life... :P & that sounds fantastic, a lot of people out there, are actually in to food tutorials, and believe it or not, its a talking point, at least in my workplace :P so news of your antics on Instagram should travel fast... & that's something else that has crossed my mind, business... that's the only way to make real £.. and that degree you have will come in handy, if you know how to use it to, spread awareness of your new site.. and yeah life can be funny at times, not exactly going to plan :P I wish it did :P I'm almost 25, now but I remember as a kid in primary school saying by my age id have my own house/car/family.. lol now look at me none of those things :P and I have high hopes for you, I can tell you will do well, and life will take you on a good journey, and thanks for your words of encouragement, I'm going to work on my self, I'm a work in progress... lol even if its a slow work in progress. thanks once again.

    This is why I work with kids (pre kinder-elementary) at an after school program! Sure they can be a handful sometimes and not listen or be respectful, but at the end of the day, I get to act like a complete goofball most of the time, go on field trips to places like Great America and Raging Waters during the summer, and just get to hang out with kids who have grown to hold a special place in my heart, while getting paid! Last year for my birthday I got at least 4 or 5 hand made cards from a couple of the kids saying how much they appreciated me and to have a good birthday. It was at that moment I realized what I did was truly making a difference in there lives, even if they can be tough sometimes, and that is something I will always be grateful for.

    Hahaha I love this. This is exactly what I went through at my last job. I never thought that my boss was an idiot, but he just seemed to be bipolar at times. He could be so friendly one minute and then the next he was going all retail drill sergeant on us and getting annoyed at us about things we as minimum wage employees couldn't control. My conclusion is that it goes up the ladder. My boss was getting a lot of pressure from his boss to produce numbers and the little guys get lost in the paperwork. I was thankful for landing that job in the first place because it gave me experience, but I'm sooooo glad I got out of there when I did. I love my current job.

    Don't underestimate the union representatives. They are there to protect you. Keeping quiet will not solve a problem, you will only pass it to the next person in your job. You might move to another job and get these problems on your shoulders again, from somebody who just left their job because of them. It's a vicious circle.

    Hey guys, this IS actually super true. I went through this every time I get into a WRONG job. At first everyone's nice, like, they're so freakin nice! Then all of a sudden, they comment on something I've worked on and things get rough(only in my head). Like everything is normal outside of me, though I have to admit sometimes I had to put on a moody face or something when I'm too pissed but all the real arguments, the bad one, stays in my head.
    Then what's worse? Fighting somewhere between the date of beginning to half of the month. Like you've just started off the month like 10 days, then a really big argument happens and you're like, I'll quit at the end of this month and you'll actually really end up counting the days and saying to yourself it's just one day like Jordan did.
    IT'S REAL GUYS

    I hate massage therapy. I wish I could have Marzia's life. Marry a hot RUclipsr, get freaking rich. Become a RUclipsr and have a fashion channel while traveling places and vlogging about different nature preserves and animals sanctuaries, interviewing park rangers and making documentaries. Being so rich you can start a fuck ton of charities and your books will actually get revenue from being published.

    At stage 5. thinking of quitting.... i've reached the point where i ask a question and my colleagues look at people on my project and give them the answer instead.... i'm counting the hours of free time, and counting the hours of work time all the time.... constantly giving second chance to this job. the tasks are awesome and i love them! but the team and the boss are horrible.

    My job is not even a real job, its more like an apprenticeship but not really (its hard to explain, to Norwegians though; its a NAV job, better than staying home atleast!)
    And the guys there actually listen when I suggest things. It makes them happy when I come with solutions that work better than the old solutions. And also the boss is nice and my coworkers are nice. I've worked there since October last year, and this hasn't happened yet.
    I work at a museum though, but sometimes I hang out in the office helping out a bit.
