The phrase “Anything that CAN happen WILL happen” was how Murphy’s Law was explained in the movie Interstellar, word for word. There was a tesseract in Interstellar and The Box is a multidimensional tesseract. I don’t believe this is a coincidence. There was also a dead cat in the episode which indicates to me Schrodinger’s Cat.
I agree with you: this was a very good episode. It definitely opens the door to a lot of possibilities for storylines--while maintaining interest in the overall "Will Jason1 find his way home." One thing that we should keep an eye on is the relationship between Jason1 and Amanda. She clearly loves him, and he still loves Daniela; so how will that end? Will Amanda, at some point die saving Jason1 (or Daniela) so he and Daniela can be together? Sort of a "Tale of Two Cities" ending. The other mystery that I'm really interested in is: the Other people who went into the Box and never came back. We already know that there is a Blair Caplan who went into the Box in Jason2's world; and there is a Blair Caplan in Jason1's world. Are they the same person? Does she suspect that Jason2 has replaced Jason1? Did she help him? And, of course, there seems to be TWO "universe travelers" who have not been named--and we don't know where they are. The writers can really make this series a Fun Ride--or, if they are sloppy with the storylines, they can really fuck it up. We'll see. Finally, I expect episode 5 to be the beginning of Jason1 and Amanda agreeing on a Plan, and going after Jason2. We may even see them travel to Jason1's world to "observe" Jason2--and begin maneuvering him into position to be sent back to his world--without a means of returning again to Jason1's world.

I also realize the box is in EVERY reality in the same position, but the world changes around it… But my question is: how did the box get there in the new reality? Like did someone build it in that reality? Or is it duplicated from Jason 1s reality? Then… when the box appears in the new reality and it’s in the middle of a ROAD…. How the hell does that box not get picked up and moved by some construction company? Lol
I think they explained the box bring in the same location because since Jason 2 used the box on his world that it would be in all the world's he went to because each world is a part of him? I'm still not sure about that one, lol. The box ra randomly being in the highway was random I agree lol
