    Hey Guys and Gals,
This week, we made our way to Hart Springs Campgound in Ghilchrist County Florida. I've been itching to go swimming at the springs since it started heating up.
Campground are typically not my jam, but this spot turned out to be a gem for sure!!! Cold pristine springs set along the edge of the beautiful Suwannee River. Beautifully maintained grounds, on-site store, clean bathrooms, and even showers with hot water could spoil a guy like me!!! This location is definitely work checking out!
    Enjoy the video!!!!

Love this video. I was born and raised in southwest florida. Old town and chiefland Florida was our vacation spot every summer. For two weeks we went to all the springs. Brought back a lot of awesome memories with my family!!! Thank you

What a lovely place Shaun...and that food looked amazing. One thing I was starting to get used to over there, was refried beans and salsa...wasn't a fan of guacamole. The food looked delicious. I'm going to have to talk you into getting some crocs for when you need a bathroom break in the night lol. Love mine and don't care what my pals here say. Still go barefoot in the daylight hours when it's warm though, just to ground myself. Great idea with the tarp...Great for catching water too if it rains. Got some great wildlife out there....raccoons! All I get here is foxes...foxes everywhere, high pitched barking and screaming like a tortured child. Great moment catching that sturgeon breaching out of the water....right time, right place brother. Big thumbs up from me for sure 👍👍👍

My first time there was as a Boy Scout in 1975. Keep in mind the camp fee includes their daily admission price which they get from everyone. Spring camping is nice in summer and a few other tricks we've done is to put a spray mist bottle in your cooler and you can spritz yourself especially before bed, and then dry off with a towel. Then even a small USB fan will cool you down.

Yeah, I've got a fan too. I forgot it at home unfortunately!

@@ReWyldOutdoors I have a master camping list to pick and choose from depending on where, when and how. Sometimes we hike in, kayak or car camp so I write a custom list off the master and we rarely forget anything. Of course it's usually a minor inconvenience if we do.

Interesting set up, when your ground sheet was passed the tent I cringed but the giant tarp over it was a great hack!

    • @ReWyldOutdoors
      @ReWyldOutdoors  Год назад

Lol, I bet! As long as the tarp is covering, it's no problem. Plus, it was on a little incline, so any water would have run off anyway! That bathtub floor is pretty water proof anyway! Those are pretty nice little tents!

Greetings- That area that you were at is similar to areas on the east coast of Florida and alot of them wood boardwalks too. Its good the other campers did not get too loud or out of hand which is rare these days. That hammock chair looks like maybe too comfortable- one might take a sit and wake up a few hours later. The culinary skills outdoors is a definite must in my opinion. I was going to tell you that I just bought a small mora carving knife and it works very well with the basswood blocks or most soft to medium woods. Great for whittling. Thanks for another video of your travels to these places. Be safe out there-

What a spot, just beautiful and the chair. Nice. Hey something I use to keep cool is a little portable rechargeable fan. There's a bunch of different models out there but I highly recommend them in these hott months. Cheers

That was a nice camping site you was at man. I liked how cleaned it was & a lot of things that you can do. I like how it had a store for anything you need at the last minute. I like how it had hiking trails & I liked how you was walking barefooted 👣 man. You are just like me. I do the same thing too. I am always walking around barefooted 👣. I am a barefooted 👣/ flip flops 🩴 person man. I'm am Surprise that you did not pick up everything barefooted 👣. But it was cool you had your flip flops 🩴 on. I went on a kayak camping trip with my family & family friends over the holidays weekend & at the camp site I was wearing my flip flops 🩴 which is something I don't do. I was surprised that I could wear my flip flops 🩴 because they were hurting my feet 🦶 for some reason & I couldn't wear them. This was a good video brother. Thanks you for sharing it.

Man I feel ya pain. I’m in Louisiana. A basically givin up on anything in the summer. Least with the wife.
But I ended up picking up one of the zero breeze AC units with the battery pack a ways back. Since the ecoflow wave 2 but haven’t gotten to use that one yet. Due to I had to have it exchanged.
But even at the 2,300ish btu it claims a the 840Wh battery back. I’ve combined with the Bluetti AC200P. Everything but the zero breeze mk2 I picked up factory refurbished off eBay for decent deals.
But between the 840Wh battery with the AC and the 2,000Wh from the solar generator. And Four 200watt Bluetti panels.
I run from the generator in the tent with a 65’ section of wire to be able to have the panels pretty much anywhere the sun could be.
It only pulls on max 238ish watts I believe on full blast. But least later in the summer I can run through the night with it. An it’s opened up some more time for me. I also have one of the small maybe like 12 can size 12v freezer fridges. That don’t pull much of anything. An don’t run the entire time anyway.
But what I did was set up tent under trees. than put 3 moving blankets strung up over top of the tent to block up most of the mosquito netting. Before putting the fly over to somewhat insulate it.
It didn’t really do squat in the day unless it was actually blowing on us if we even went in there for a little while. But around 7-8 it started cooling some. An about 11 I actually was able to take it off of the max. An run it a little slower. Saved juice ect.
An worked out pretty decently. Even when it couldn’t cool. The break from the lower humidity itself was a treat.
Otherwise I kinda stay out the summer stuff. I can do it alone. But the heat is definitely a fun sucker putter though.

It's pretty dang close to a wok! Go check it out! It's dang cheap, so if you don't like it, then you're not out much!
