When they got to the ranger tab the music got intense AF 😂😂
RLTW
Dam right!!!
And so it should lol
Ain’t no joke! 😂
It should they are badass af and don’t give af
To inform you guys. The Ranger tab is extremely hard to get, but does NOT make you a ranger. They are both very big accomplishments. I am trying to get across the tab signifies you are a leader. You can have almost any combat MOS and achieve it. To actually be part of SOCOM, you need to complete RASP (Ranger Assessment and Selection Program). Just trying to let people know the difference. This lets you join the ranks of the 75th. Those being the only true Army Rangers. You will have a tan beret and a scroll saying i.e. 3rd Ranger Btn. Again they are both extremely hard to get and huge respect!
MacTechnAE. Nicely done. Thanks. 1st Lt, 2nd Rangers, Airborne.
MacTechnAE //. What’s the advantage of enduring a grueling Ranger School if you’ve already passed the RASP requirement program and you’re in the 75Th Ranger Outfit already. Is it the super Ranger feeling you get and it may help on promotion day ?
Rumble625 nah ranger school is leadership school
Being a 75th RANGER AIRBORNE was the best part of my life!!
#RLTW!🇺🇸🇺🇸
@@Rumble625 was for me! No better feeling and the history is something to be proud of! #RLTW!🇺🇸🇺🇸
12B here and, My goal is to earn the Sapper Tab. I feel like instead of people (fellow soldiers especially) shouldn't be arguing about tabs and placing themselves above anyone else. We should be doing this to better and honor our beautiful country. I thank all of our soldiers for their selfless service. HOOAH!
My respects to a fellow 12B. I started out that way in 1978, yes at Leonardwood. I got smart and became a 62E20 Heavy Junk Platoon Sarge, by 1995 traded my shovel for a Bull Dozer. and a platoon to dig my ditches.
Pog
@Kyle Reyes
Do not confuse most MOS engineering jobs with that of a 12b combat engineer. I’m sure there are some that consider combats engineers POGs, like yourself for instance, but I think most in the military would disagree…
They literally clear the routes infantry take to their objectives from IEDs, they get blown up and killed, just like infantry.
They’re different compared to a 12n or other engineering jobs.
Everyone has a right to their opinion though, if you really feel that way, I’m just giving you mine, I hope you never get deployed into a situation that doesn’t have combat engineers.
Its been 7 years, did you get the tab?
Sappers are elite and they are lethal as fuck. They clear the way before rangers or / and airborne. Sappers are blowing up everything and setting up a successful battle field before anyone else shows up
I have the "regular guy " tab but the bastards still shot at me.
Watching this makes me realize just how insignificant my role in the Army was.
What’d you do?
I covet my Sapper tab. The school kicked my ass, but it was such an honor to earn it.
ROFL It that authorized now?
When did that come about I don't remember when I was in?
Good to see a lot of the history of these tabs have come from your brothers across the pond, the Sappers tab “born from the old days of digging trenches to blow up castles”. The SF tab & the Ranger tab from seeing British commando soldiers in WW2. The USA is always good at seeing something valuable & emulating that & creating better soldiers.
What a great video for new soldiers to use to set their career goals by. I am retired now but I have been awarded the Airborne and Ranger Tabs. I still fly the Ranger Tab Flag under my American Flag in my own yard. Once a Ranger you are always a Ranger. Rangers Lead The Way!
MAC-V Recondo school was tougher than the Ranger course! Just sayin'......
I like the fact that they saved explaining the best tab for last!
1Sgt Burris of the airborne tab part, is now CSM of the 3-47, 198th Infantry Brigade, at Ft. Benning, where Infantryman get trained. He’s the man, and a really solid guy.
My cousin just got his airborne tab and another cousin who is an infantryman! Best friend is a command sgt major and is ranger in for 30plus now working for the feds and helped fly in supplies for puerto rico, texas, florida and all of the brothers and sisters around the globe. I am just so very humbled by their dedication an service and extremely proud of the men that they are. My family is a military family and for generations have served in every branch of service and I am proud of all of our men and women worldwide who serve to protect us and our borders each and every day from enemies both foreign and domestic. God bless them all and their families as well!
"RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!"
My goal in life is to be a Ranger.
joseph cruz same
still your life goal 3years later?
and us 12b's blow shit up and get it done hooah
A power ranger.
I want to go to ranger school, but my main goal is too be a sniper on special forces
I can remember when they would heavily iron-over the left breast pocket to make the SAPPER tab stand out because it wasn't authorized for wear....good to see its back........
Ft. Leonard Wood,
Benning, Hood
I would jump every second of every day if...I could still walk
Will Hall that just made me a little sad stay strong bro
Will Hall what happened?
I was making fun of the guy at 3:02 If you jumped everyday you'd blow your knees out in no time. Airborn jumps are harsh, low altitude with pretty crummy chutes.
thats why we don't last long
So I would like to jump again, but with a bone fused to another bone, I would have to say I would like to jump again. I just would not like to land again.
Honor guard would honestly be my biggest dream. My family is on the east coast so it would be perfect.
I was a 12 B ( COMBAT Engineer) Earned my Sapper Tab!! Very Proud of my accomplishment and the brotherhood I've earned through that Specilized School. Essayons
How do you earn it?? I'm considering going 12B.
Interested in combat engineer. Do you see a lot of combat?
1st Sgt. Burris is now CSM of the 47th Infantry Battalion on Ft. Benning. Saw him plenty of times when I was going through basic as class of E3-47. Really solid dude, came to a lot of our training events, he loved to let his presence be known, joke with us. If you got stuck on Battalion staff duty, he’d say just to call him Hoss. Lol he’s a cool dude.
Am I a US Army veteran 12b 10 sapper proud to be part of the family I encourage anybody that wants to be more than themselves turn the tab doesn't matter which one just learned the tab
1SG Harrison; SSG Bogden, 1/71 CAV. Absolutely made my time in the unit outstanding. 1SG Harrison helped me keep my cool many times. His attitude and leadership is one to emulate. SSG Bogden working together over the deployment, helped keep the deployment sane. Thank You both ' Climb to Glory' "Ghost' ....SSG (RET) B. 11B
getting my ranger tab in 1983 was a life changing event for me over came alot of fears
I earned a pinewood derby merit badge in cub scouts
Mine was always overweight, even though it was just a hair under the limit according to my scale. My most vivid memories involve furiously whittling away the back end to reduce weight before I got disqualified. Good times... lol
1) Cub Scouts don’t have merit badges
2) There’s no Pinewood Derby Merit Badge
Stolen Valor 😂@@narwhallegion8583
I've been in the Army 12 years and I'm getting out in 14 months and I feel I wasted my time for not getting any of these tabs or any type of school like Air Assault or anything like that. What a waste.
Right! He should re-enlist! He has a 12 year investment made and still has plenty of time to get into great physical shape and go for one or more of those tabs. It is just a matter of talking to the right people and then getting involved in the correct training at the right location........Start running some every day and going to the Gym, etc.
+SPIRIT OF ECSTASY yea 12years in , mine as well just hit the 20years and retire , even if he doesn't earn any tabs in the process
paper pushers
***** I'm a 91f small arms repairer.
***** no I can't because of the Army's up or out policy and im done anyway
thank you for your service. its honorable, extraordinary men like you that fought for our country in the name of freedom.
thank you sir
SNIPER tab, not authorized by the Army brass, but damn well EARNED.
Staff Sergeant, US. Army, Combat Infantry Sniper, multiple tours
Agreed Brother
Ryan Taylor Why isn't it authorized?
Rene Scaletta My best professional guess is that since Officers are not allowed to attend the school, there is no push by them to get a tab approved that they can't wear.
Ranger, Sapper, Honor Guard, and President's 100 are all open to Officers.
Ryan Taylor Seems just about right. Thanks! :)
***** You didn't read my comments very well, I said the SNIPER tab is not authorized, not the SAPPER tab. And just who do you think writes the AR's? FEMA, the NFL, the Department of Motor Vehicles? Of course the Army brass has influence on what's written in the AR's and/or which tab is authorized or not.
61 26 YEARS ARMY. Married to SF SGM retired. Let me tell you. .. Guys and gals, go for the gold. Go for every single training and HOOAAAH thing you can go through! I wish I had. I was 44 when my IMA reserve (I was there 3 weeks a year) unit asked me to go Airborne (was in Airborne unit). They gave me option.. and.. I was just too old to take that on! Do it when young!
i'll be leaving this January for training as 13 Fox with the Airborne, excited!
Tajj'iia Good luck!

thank you guys for your service 👍💪 USA.
Can't wait to enlist in the Army going Airborne and then Ranger
Sith Warrior Ranger school is very hard. Watch all the documentaries and train at the skills needed. Never quit! Good luck, Rangers lead the way.
+Kevin Harrington I think he's talking about an actual ranger not ranger qualified if he wants to be a ranger he has to go to RASP not ranger school
STRAIGHT up
Good luck buddy
Miguel Magana Ranger tab is Ranger dude. Tell you like I told the last guy. You must think you're the no all the end-all to tell everybody who is a ranger and who isn't. Shut it down.
over the last 15 years, the most dangerous of all the tabs is the Sapper as they are the ones that had to defuse and/or clear all those IEDs and I'm sure many fine Sappers parished when trying to clear those dangerous roadside bombs. Hats off to the brave men who both risked and sacrificed to make other soldiers' paths safer.
Within the first 17 seconds I realised he's never been to fort bliss, we woke up pissed and hungover.
The ranger TAB is just a tab and can be achieved and given to anyone of any branch as the tab is proving to others and your platoon you are a leader... having the tab does not mean your a ranger. Being a ranger is passing RASP and once you pass you become part of the Special Operations community making you a 75th Reg. Ranger... remember if somebody tells you they are a ranger and either has a tab and said they passed ranger school they're lying... only if you have a scroll and a tan beret you are a ranger. Its so annoying hearing people say rangers aren't 1. Special ops. And 2. say they are rangers because of ranger school .
There is truth to this. Imagine someone who graduates from Basic Training and AIT and then simply goes back to civilian life (instead of living the life) and calls himself a soldier. Bullshit. A soldier is one who goes to Basic and AIT and then serves. A ranger is one who lives the ranger life. Not someone who graduates from a course and goes back to whatever life.
Agreed. Can't call youself a ranger if you haven't earned the tan berret, been in the regiment, and went to war with the regiment.... Basically..... Been in the regiment
Some what true but the seamen, marines, airmen and guardsmen??, that earn the tab arent allowed to wear it on their uniform
This must be new, because I had plenty of Ranger tabs in one of my units aside from Officers and none of them claimed to be Rangers. This must be the new generation claiming it, because when I was in, The most I heard anyone say is that they are "Ranger Qualified," but not strictly "a Ranger." But this is what you get when you got the Government and Hollywood circle jerking each other on a Merry-Go-Round to justify all these not-so-special operations by shitting out all kinds of SO movies and making the silent soldier into loud celebrities.
***** Airmen can now wear the Ranger tab on the ABU's, saw one on base the other day. They can also wear the CIB on their service dress, per commander's discretion.
At 01:12 Thank god to see a US service person shaping & wearing a beret correctly. Well done 👍 mate.
If you are really concerned about the pay, it depends on what status you are in. For example: being in jump status can slightly increase your pay based on rank. However, like the other members told you, it is all about the honor you receive from earning the tab or badge. It may seem like a little cheap piece of cloth or metal, but you cannot buy what it represents. Plus it looks really good on your uniform as well :D
U.S ARMY HONOR GUARD AIRBORNE SOLDIER.
Seems like everyone and there mom is 11 bravo
tucker atchley your not wrong lol. I'm an 11x
are there a lot of people 30yrs old and up in that field?
Michael Green I mean, its an old pic. but no need to jump to conclusions
Mike at the hotel before I went to MEPS there was a guy going 11x who was 34. you just have to be able to pass the airborne physical
ah ok. Well ill be enlisting sometime in january hopefully. I just turned 30 two days ago and want to be around people closer to my age if possible but still do a combat mos that travels overseas.
RIP SGT Shawn Farrell 10th Mountain Div KIA Afghanistan our town misses you bro
You earned something more valuable. The respect of your family, peers and country. We ::SALUTE:: your service.
That moment when it’s an American video about American soldiers but for some reason they couldn’t find footage of American mountain troops so they use German footage
LOVE THIS CHANNEL: DEFINETELY I AM SUBSCRIBING !!
THANK YOU LOT !!!!
I am Neil Leinwohl. I earned the Airborne tap. Along with a bad back, new knees and hips. Proud of all.
1:17 this man was in the president's 100 and passed ranger school in AIT. What a trainee...
I assume they attended airborne school and earned their EIB before completing AIT as well?
Looks like a Sfc that probably works in tradoc or some capacity. General milley wears the same patch as trainees do and I suspect this guys doing the same thing
@@leeglaser9042 Exactly! You can't attend Ranger School if you're not Airborne! Not only did I get earn my tab in 3/2001, i worked at the school (Benning Phase), from 2000-2003.
Ft. Bragg Eighty-Deuce, 1987-1990....AATW!

"Dear Lord, Ranger Jesus..."
"HE WAS SPECIAL FORCES, HE HAD A BEARD!
"Well he went to Ranger School, and I like the Ranger Jesus the best."
"I like my Jesus with a Sapper tab, cause it says, I'm tabbed, but I'm just here to blow shit up."
I'm grateful to you for your service. I'm glad you made it back.
They forgot to mention the "Pershing" missile tab. I was 15E and we were all issued the Pershing tab. We were part of the nuclear triad. Special battlefield nuclear ballistic missiles.
The mountain tab, just like airborne tab, is part of the SSI or unit patch. The President’s 100, SF tab, Ranger tab, and sapper tabs are earned, not assigned
Im A junior army Rotc cadett and I love it!! I resontly joind the rifle team and it is the most fun I have had in years!!
President's Hundred, Airborne and maybe Sapper one day
airborne and ranger are my goals
Jeremiah Biglow Same with me.Or I'll give a try on special forces.Well best of luck to you sir.
Ron Jackson me ill try presidents 100 but my advice is that you start training if you want to become spechial forces
Starting working out now, harder that you ever have. Goals for you - 92 pushups in 2 minutes. 82 situps in two minutes. 2 mile run in 11:54 or better.
Fmr B Co 3/75 88-92.
heading to bct in january and i'm a 92romeo so Im looking forward to get my airborne tab and to serve for the u.s army
11B, just got my Honor Guard tab today!
I take great pride in being at 12 B10 combat engineer sapper tossing a little Airborne on top of it💕 fort lost in the woods in the state of Missouri yeah I've been there it was a good time and I would do it all over again 31 Delta class in 92
25U SGT(retired) and was a proud wearer of the 10th mtn patch and tab. Yes it is no Ranger, Airborne, Sapper, ect. But it is a tab that is to be EARNED just like the rest.
Um, you get it because that's where you were stationed. at Drum, not because you earned it, same with the Airborne tab, you can wear it because that's where you're stationed, not because you earned it.
I served as a combat engineer. I considered staying in longer and going to sapper school. Looking back I know it was a path I could have been successful but I build houses now. And it's not often I use explosives while building unless I'm nailing into steel.
The 10th Mountain isn't the only the unit that can wear the Mountain Tab. The 86th IBCT (Mainly VT National Guard, along with some NH units) is a Mountain Unit. Some of the soldiers in the 86th have been to mountain warfare school, while others have not.
National guard aren't real military 🤣 they do 8 days of """ training""" during the winter. My friend was at Ft Drum during Blackhawk down ,11B. fng 🤣
Noticed how few people have watched this video. That is all of the patriotism left in this country.
we were infantry we are infantry we went were ya'll didn't want to go. strait leg infantry
Jason Herron hooah
You mean you walked where no wanted too lmao
I wore the 101st Airborne Tab and got my Air Assailt wings, then earned another Tab in 1986,
"Jungle Expert" (it's not shown.)
Maybe because its conjoined to the Balboa Patch and the Ft Sherman School was closed 1999.
(I see aftermarket fake "Air Assault" tabs in shops & always wondered who invented that idea).
I've got two tabs, the POG tab AND the FOBBIT tab,
S1 IN THE HOUSE!
LOL....LOL
I wear my Regular Forces Tab proudly.
If you are not in the 75th Rangers then you are not a true Ranger.
some move on , some cant be operational anymore , i agree in basis though
You in regiment?
Ranger tab is to prove that an individual can lead infantry, 75th Ranger Scroll means you’re a fucking animal and badass
I am proud to have earned my Ranger and Sapper tab.
Excellent viewing. Thank you..🙏🏻🇦🇺
What about the paper pusher tab?
Power Point Ranger
That would be the sapper tab.
pfdrtom Do you even know what a Sapper is? I'm sure you wouldn't even pass BCT let alone Sapper training.
pfdrtom Not even close.
One of the most important. They’re part of the team that makes sure we get our mail and paychecks!!
Strange they were showing German troops during the mountain tab part.
Do some research youll understand why.
I wish you the best. Those tabs are not easy to get, but if you have the determination, you will eventually accomplish that goal.
If i was an American, i would definitely join the US army and get the Ranger and special forces tab!
I'm aiming for the Ranger tab and maybe the us army special forces tab.
I was looking for School’s Out tabs, but this works too
HOOAH! I am the Infantry, follow me! Airborne All The Way! Rangers Lead The Way!
I served from '89-'93 with the 101ST Airborne Division. Although the traditional airborne tab remained, the division converted to air assault operations since Vietnam I think. I went thru the air assault course and earned my wings. But I always wondered why they never awarded a tab and beret as all the other special training forces had. Didn't get the chance to go airborne for a second pair of wings, due to ankle gotten weakened from abuse. Would have been nice to wear a designated colored beret, dress pants in jump boots with a tab on the shoulder. Now the whole army branch all down to the regular Joe soldier wears a beret, right outta training,as my daughter did,if they haven't changed it yet, lol
Gotta make them all feel good 🤣
10th mountain isn't the only mountain unit. 86th Infantry Brigade the other unit that wears the tab and actually does mountain warfare training. And the 2 that they interviewed didn't even have the mountain badge.
I served 10 years. I was put out on a medical discharge due to injuries I received while serving. We called them brownie patches. All the officers are sent to airborne or air assault so they can have brownie patches on their uniform. Most cases when a enlisted soldier would ask to go to these schools they were told no, it's not In the budget or it is not required for your M.O.S. . The higher ranked and officers in the same unit and hold the same M.O.S. were always sent to these schools upon request. I only wore my badges on 2 uniforms. 90% of the time I never wore them because as a NCO is was not fair that they sent me to the schools but would not send my soldiers that requested to go. Some badges are as simple as going to a short school and passing, some are earned in a way you did not ask for, it just so happened you were in a situation that your job is subject to but at the same time no sane person would ever wish to be their on purpose just to get a badge. As far as badges go I have mixed emotions about.
AA badge is a tab that says i don't have time to become a Ranger or SF's.So i became a part time kick ass soldier.
Old scroll ranger ,miss it
“Mountain” based in fort drum is the comedy club of the military.
"Soldier what is one of your dream locations? " " recruiter i would like to go to Hawaii " " not a problem private". Weeks later once graduated from boot camp.... Pohakuloa Training Area is my new home.
Soldiers, I trust and believe in you.
The 101st were the only unit that wore their original unit tabs in Vietnam they didn't have to camouflage them. And VC and the nva called them the chicken men because they had never seen a bald eagle.
I hope to get a RANGER tan beret as well as the tab. I would also like the Airborne Tab.
awesomeguy521 not the case. You attend ranger and not be airborne
Ranger Dean...LoL my ranger buddy...lol and my classmate at LRRSLC and I am a hungarian soldier! How big is that??lol
Well shit I'm a competitive shooter with an m1 and smallbore riffles and I want to join the military, lookin forward to get the presidents hundred tab
James Bond First step to proficient shooting in any part of the Military.....forget all knowledge about shooting that you had. Most of the best Shooters have never shot a firearm in their life until they enlisted. Your knowledge although helpful will do nothing when they're teaching you how to shoot the way they want you to shoot.
James Bond What is the President's Hundred anyway?
If im not mistaken The presidents hundred tab is strictly reserved for the army presidential detail
Never mind scratch my previous comment, the tab is awarded for marksmanship in the presidential competition
Depends on what you want to do with your MOS. If you're a combat engineer you can get your sapper tab you can also have your ranger tab and airborne too if you become SF and become an engineer sergeant 18C you can get the special forces tab. Becoming a tri tab which is airborne ranger and special forces is incredibly hard. All the tabs are hardtop earn and anyone that has one deserves respect.
Airborne 19 years 11th twice 5 yers....82 3 times 11yers
3yers Ft Benning inst jump comm. 20 yers 46- 67
I wore the abn tab.
82nd airborne 1968
I'm setting my goals ^
How are your goals going?
Why don't civilians get tabs? I bet I'd have 5 blunt rolling tabs by now😂
Awwww, 10th Mountain.... That's cute,
I was a Sapper before the tab came out. Combat Engineer "Heavy Junk" 1978 until 2001". care to troll, I have credentials to all Newcomers. Can not pull crap out my Butt. Plus a couple more MOS's. 22 years plus children got to Love the "tabs". I was " COLD WAR" yes children after "Nam".
I'll tell you what is missing from this list is the U.S.Army Reconnaissance Commando School Patch better known as Recondo. I went through the 18th Airborne Corp. Recondo school in 1988 whose instructors were all from 5th Group (SF). My class also a good number of Rangers in it. The striking thing is that, not one single Ranger graduated that course. They all dropped out or failed. Yet not a single mention of them here. Jus' Sayin'.
FYI: Reconnaissance Commandos or Recondo's were also know as LRRP's.
( "no animation') I thank you all. This "is" what I wanted to be but under certain circumstances I couldn't join service. You hold your heads and know that your work is respected. Good days:)
Tab for everything
My dream is to go to the Jungle Warfare School. But there isn't alot of info on whether or not it's still available. And I read somewhere that if you receive the jungle tab, you can wear it, but I also heard you can't. So I'm in the dark. Still super cool though.
YEAH GO SAPPER!!
STILL waiting on the Army to authorize the Sniper tab.
The U.S. Army has a tradition of *symbology.* When designing a unit patch, they want it to be free of letters and writing. The odd number here or there is authorized but, no letters, no writing. If something needs to be expressed on the soldiers uniform using those dirty impure letters, it will be done in such a way to segregate it away from the unit patch. Things like name or branch tapes. Individual or unit citations being expressed with writing instead of symbology will be done so using *tabs.*
There are some other ways the army circumvents the no writing rule, but what's mentioned above is mostly it.
I enjoyed tenth mountain even tho I was just a supply clerk 92A we did countless field training All the units got the option when we was getting ready for deployment to transition soldiers to another unit if we rather go on assignment in Afghanistan or Iraq instead of Kuwait cause Kuwait wasn’t considered a combat zone anymore and couldn’t receive the tab
my husband is 10th mountain divison he on deployment out in afghanistan he hope to coming home very soon
thank you for serving
With those shades the Honor Guard looks like Agents 47s!
