If by "whole different level" you mean "throw out as many unpunishable hit boxes as possible" then, sure. I'm seriously considering picking up Ike because he doesn't require nearly as much fundamentals or tactics as falcon demands to do well. Ike's flowchart is too easy to execute.
Fatalities nerves didn't hold up well under pressure, not to mention the terrible MU. He definitely should have switched to Link to AA Ike's brain dead neutral game with better disjoint and projectiles. Still, 65/2000 is an excellent placement to get, and Fatality really shouldn't have let that match get to him as much as it did based on his Twitter.

Is there another top Ike other than Leo, everyone seems to be complaining about Ike being brain dead but I don't see many other Ikes at the same level of Leo. If anything Leo is broken and makes Ike look brain dead, Ike isn't THAT good Leo is just using him really well.

Alex Salinas the new Smash Ultimate engine made everything faster, meaning Falcon lost one of his biggest advantages in the game no longer outspeeding most characters. His side B, while does get a cool hit box since he dives in, is no longer an early kill confirm. And his up air, used to be his bread and butter, but now it also isn't a kill confirm either and doesn't do as much damage
I would choose someone else against Ike. He at a disadvantage from the beginning with Falcon. Link, Zelda, Peach, Daisy, Paulatena or the Pits would have worked better in this match up.
my god, falcon had the worst breakfast ever; The Nair pancakes stacking on top of each other. I know falcon struggle against sword characters, but he has no answer to Ikes Nair :(
One thing I've found that works extremely well to punish Ike's nair is to wait for him to throw out an aerial nair. When he does, keep your space, and then falcon kick can punish every time. It's super easy to do. Unfortunately, I don't think Fatality knew or ever needed to resort to this tactic.

So hilarious watching this a year later. You can tell the game was pretty new, with Fatality playing like ass here (he improved a lot since then, Falcon being buffed too) and Leo destroying everyone with Ike, a character you literally don't see anymore in competitive play haha.

While Ultimate feels like a well-balanced game, I have a strong feeling that sword-fighting styles are going to dominate the metagame. The game focuses too much on offense and minimizes defensive play. This type of play really benefits swords and hurts brawlers/projectile users.
Watching this in 2021 makes me feel like I'm watching Goku vs Radditz 😆 I feel like I coulda beat mkleo if my current self played against him in those early days of ultimate with my years of experience since the game's release

I feel like Fatality should’ve counterpick with Link. Link has way better edge guarding tools against Ike’s recovery than Captain Falcon. He’s also good at challenging Ike’s sword attacks with projectiles
This is why I switched from C Falcon to Ike. The meta of Smash Ultimate is long range everything, whether it be Link's projectiles or Ike's massive sword (lol). I will always love fucking people up with C Falcon who are clearly inexperienced, but when it comes to game time, you gotta go with range over close distance.

What happened at 3:22? Ike did a down-tilt but then it got canceled somehow and he turned around.
If you hold back after the down tilt comes out then you can turn around back air immediately with Ike. He got hit on the frame he turned.
Ike got grabbed by Captain Falcon's up-b at the same time so it canceled his animation and turned him around
