- Spring has arrived in Cornwall and it has never looked more beautiful. Join me for a walk along the South West coastal path from Portreath on the North coast and listen to the sounds of nature. #cornwall #southwestcoastalpath #englishcountryside
After a really hard few weeks I finally picked up the camera again, this is the first footage I have shot since loosing Miss Nancy. I hope you like it. Thanks for sticking around,

A little about us: I adopted my ex-racing greyhound Miss Nancy three years ago, it was a massive learning curve for both of us and we have become the best of friends, who love going on outdoor adventures, wild swims, van camping and finding vegan food out and about! We make videos showing what it’s like to have a greyhound as a pet, the beautiful outdoors, vanlife, and life with a greyhound!

Losing a furry friend always a gut wrenching low. Life can seem so unfair at times, especially when our non judgemental, unconditional loving companions "leave" us.
Truth be told, Nancy will always be part of you !

If there's one thing you can take comfort in. It's knowing that on her day of passing, she was not alone and knew she was truly loved. How many humans get to experience that? You have enough love in you to make another special friend happy.😍🙏🙏🙏
I’ve been trying to look at it that way, that she was safe and loved and had no fear, and that’s more important than my pain 🙏 I think it’s true that I do have enough love for another 🐾

Even now (20 years later) I think about my dog Bramble. Daft thing that he was. Nancy will always be there. Damn, there's nothing like a dog to make me soppy.
PS Cornwall looks gorgeous. A good month ahead of County Durham.

Losing a friend is hard, I've said goodbye to lots of my fluffy companion but I have so many happy memories with them. I treasure those moments. I can feel your sorrow but know that like me you will one day be happy again and be able to look back on your happy adventures with Miss Lucy and smile.❤

It is heartbreaking to lose one’s hound. It has been a year for me now this week. I still get watery eyes when I think of losing him, but more often now I smile when I think of him and the great times we had together. May time let the joy win over the sadness.

It’s been 3 weeks shy of a year since I had to say goodbye to my own black greyhound girl, Cairo. I still deeply miss her every single day, so I know how much you’re hurting. You are absolutely the best dog-mum she could’ve had. Miss Nancy has started the next adventure ahead of you, but she’s always your girl and will come running when it’s time. In the meantime, I hope nature heals and I wish you peace, and finding joy again, whatever that looks like for you (I’m hoping another greyhound for myself soon, and if it’s right, the same for you). Blessings.

Out of the blue only 4weeks ago I had three hours to prepare for the loss of my shadow my side kick best mate and most of all my companion, the guilt the loss and grief is beyond apprehension. Every turn of the key and opening of the door I expect him to be there waiting to give that unconditional greet. I feel your pain it’s like something has been taken away from my soul. Not a day goes by when I don’t think of him but every trip I plan or walk I do I know he will always be by my side. Broken is an understatement. Look after yourself tori and stay strong. ❤ 🌈 🐶

Tonight was the first time I felt the courage to look at this video. A few weeks back when I saw clip of Miss Nancy looking exhausted it spooked me, gave me such an uncomfortable feeling in my chest. I thought I'd just been triggered and I hoped beyond hope that Miss Nancy would be okay. I'm sorry that this was not the case. You have shown tremendous courage to do this video, though you did not speak much all your emotions were clear to see in the pain and sadness written in your countenance. My heart is filled with hope that you are feeling strong enough to pick up the camera. I join my thoughts with those of the community here in solidarity for your loss and to assure you that the feeling does become bearable with time. As your video so aptly features 'spring' so your soul will feel spring again. Lots of love ❤

It was a lovely video and a great tribute to her. I'm so glad you decided to make it and your talent for seeing those little moments most of us might miss shone through as always.
Being pretty new to your channel I now feel very priviledged to have at least been here whilst Miss Nancy was alive as she was really the root of this whole thing you started. She'll be sorely missed by us all but through you her spirit will live on.
On a personal note, I cannot even talk about my past dogs (and other animal companions) without welling up despite the fact that some of them have been gone over a decade or two, I just miss them too much. So the fact that you were able to speak on this video, even briefly, is nothing short of incredible, I doubt that I would have been strong enough. This channel has been amazing and I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say we're all thinking of you, and of course, the wonderful and beautiful Miss Nancy.

I'm so sorry to hear this awful news Tori. I only came across this channel as we'd recently just adopted an ex-racing greyhound (who also looked like Miss Nancy) so wanted to see how you were getting on. It was clear she was so loved. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you at this time. I don't know what your beliefs are but I believe I'll see my past dogs again when it's my time to go and they'll come running to greet me.

I perfectly understand how you feel but you can take comfort in knowing that you & your family have done everything humanly possible.
At least for me I know I found some small comfort in knowing that I’ve done everything That can be done when I lost jess on Mach 1 this year.

I felt awful from you loosing Jess you guys were all so close. I never thought it would be me so soon, it’s been shocking and awful. I don’t know what I could have done different but it was hard not to blame myself anyway, it’s becoming easier not to dwell on that though. It’s just an awful thing. I hope having Snowy at least brought you some comfort, and that you guys are having a good time in France now 🙏🐕❤️

Everyone has been so kind, it’s been hard I couldn’t really bring myself to even tell anyone I couldn’t say the words I just had to hide for a while. It still makes me crying reading everyone’s sweet messages, but it’s also so nice knowing that Miss Nancy will be missed by so many people.
They enlighten our soul… give us the most wonderful memories … love us unconditionally… my thoughts and prayers to you.❤

When we lost our gorgeous dog to a horrible illness when she was just 3 years old we were truly broken. A good friend said you wont be able to replace her but you need to get another dog in your life ASAP Seriously , that’s the best advice…get back on the wagon as soon as you can …share the love again and the sad times turn into happy new ones...
That’s awful I am so sorry, I know how you felt 💔 Maybe that is the best advice, and part of me wants nothing more, I just don’t want to rush into it too quickly. There are so many greyhound who need a loving home though it almost seems wrong not too.

I have a ragdoll lady cat called Verity who loved to watch Miss Nancy so much she would insist I played your videos on an iPad while in bed every night so she could see her darting around on the beaches. She and I will miss her very much ❤

I know pretty much what you're feeling and going through. My Meg (the greyhound in my photo) was to me the most perfect companion. I lost her at the beginning of lockdown - which was the worst timing you could possibly imagine. The grief I felt was nothing like I'd ever expected. I thought about rehoming another - but the time just wasn't right. Waited a good long while. Thought ok it's time - fostered another greyhound - had to return her. I couldn't get over my grief. I felt so sad for the dog but I knew I wasn't ready to devote my life to her. It wouldn't have been fair. There was no connection. The loss of a wonderful dog is so hard to overcome - but in time you'll get to a place where you'll start to think about it. Nothing will erase your memories of Miss Nancy..same with my Meg. I love that photo Meg is so beautiful ❤️ that was a terrible time to loose her my god it was hard enough anyway. I feel the same about the grief it has hit me harder than I thought possible. Miss Nancy had been my companion everyday in everything I did for there and a half years. I’m so sorry that didn’t work out with your foster dog it must have been a very difficult time. It’s strange, part of me just wants to go and get another dog, not to replace Miss Nancy but because I want to love and care for them and give them the home they deserve, but I have no idea how I would really feel if I did. I think I need more time, and I guess that time is different for everyone. I hope that you do get another greyhound, they are all so sweet and deserving of love and I think we surely have enough love in our hearts, when the time is right for you.
