    Okay!!!! I finished watching the full video :D.
    First and foremost. Thank you so much for making this vid. It really helped me understand a program that I haven't used at all in the last 7 years since I maid my Twitch account. I have this video marked as a favorite so I can reference it (which I probably will multiple times) in the future.

FYI - I was following along and duplicating what you were doing as you were doing it and for the shoutout --- %user% it kept returning my own name and shouting myself out. -- Going to the Discord and joining the streamerbot community, I learned I should be using %targetUser% instead %user% -- anyway.. that was a little frustrating -- but -- I learned. Loved watching the FULL video. Great tutorial. Keep it up! I'm going to start building Actions for my stream, and a bunch come to mind that might be great for future tutorials for you to make. I want to automate a lot of things in my chat and on my OBS Scene to interact with my (very few) watchers. Maybe a Welcome message when they enter the chat. Maybe a first chat message or on-screen animation. I want a "ding" in chat when a person sends a message, but only in my headphones so I don't miss it. And all this on Twitch and RUclips as well, since I multi-stream to both. Is there something fun you can do with lurkers, to pull them into the chat? (Or to be a follower?) So many possibilities! And I have a lot of graphics I've made, so I look forward to incorporating them as Actions on screen for fun visual moments.

    Great video! If I was trying to add a channel point redemption where someone else times another user out, what is the variable I should put in for user login? I know its supposed to be the info from whatever the text says in redemption but I wasnt sure how to go about that.

    • @beardedink
      @beardedink  10 месяцев назад +1

      There are a few ways to go about this, but the easiest is to just use the %rawInput% variable and make the command require input. I would add "instructions" for the redeem to only type in the user they wish to be timed out and to use the full, correct username so "BeardedInk" for example would work but there is no active user "Bearded"
      There are other methods to ensure nicknames, and some (not all) typos are corrected, but they involve C# or a multitude of if/else statements.

    How do i set up a voice command that plays a sequence of inputs on my keyboard

    • @beardedink
      @beardedink  8 месяцев назад

      Voice Commands and advanced scripts like keyboard presses are a bit beyond this tutorial, but will be included in a future tutorial! Basically though, they work like everything else. You make your action with the key-press sub actions you want and use a voice command trigger, instead of a command or channel point redeem, to set it all off.

    I was watching your other video about adding a lurk command, and for some reason it won't trigger in my twitch chat. Just comes up with my Nightbot commands. Do I get rid of nightbot for my commands to work on streamer.bot?

    • @beardedink
      @beardedink  3 месяца назад

      No. the bots are not dependent and when everything is working correctly, you would just have two responses in your chat. To help with this, like the other comment with lurk command issues, I would need more information to help you the most, otherwise I am just guessing. If you are on Discord, you can join the Bearded Pint server and find my #streamer-help section and post there so we can see screenshots and code to get you on the right path. Most likely there is either an account connection issue, or there is a small mistake in the scripting for the command.

    Im trying to set this up on streamlabs OBS and i cant seem to find the Websocket thing. Is this available for streamlabs or just OBS

    • @beardedink
      @beardedink  Месяц назад

      It is available for StreamLabs Desktop, yes! First, you will need to go to your SLD dashboard and click on Settings and then "Remote" You will see the blurred QR code and you want to click it to see your connection info. In particular the API token and port number. Then, in Streamer.bot go to the Stream Apps tab and then the StreamLabs Desktop Tab. Right click and choose "Add" give it a name, paste your API token and port in place (note "host" should be local IP 127.0.0.1) and you are good to go!

    • @beardedink

      Thank you for watching the video! Yes, timed messages are set up just like a standard command. Make your action and sub actions as you normally would and then head to the Settings tab and click on Timed Actions tab. Here you will add a a timed action call with the settings you desire (seconds and messages between triggers, etc) and use this as the trigger on your action.

    • @beardedink
      @beardedink  9 месяцев назад

      @@leoponce6252 Happy to hear you got it working. Including user clips as part of a shout out is possible and fairly straight forward. However, it is a bit more than I can put in a comment here. I am working on a new tutorial that will cover this as well. It requires a bit of C# code as well as an external html file. Look for that tutorial coming this week (with some luck). In the meantime, a simple and usable solution is found on twich.guru website. It isn't the best option but it is free and works with the !so command which will trigger both the clip and your SB shoutout actions.

      Currently Streamer.bot is native for Twitch and RUclips (though has plenty of 3rd party integrations). I didn't cover it in this basic tutorial, but yes, there is a chat widget included that will pull Twitch and RUclips chats in. It also has features so you can set up push button actions or replies and other special features for a true stand-alone pop out chat client. If you look at the top of the app you will see the Chat button,. pressing it will pop out the chat to your connected service(s) adding actions and such will be covered in a future tutorial.
