I recently spent a week in San Antonio and in this video we are going to walk around downtown to the Historic Menger Hotel. The Menger hotel was built in 1859 and sits on the Alamo Plaza. After the morning session at the Menger, we walk to School's for lunch at a historic restaurant which is the oldest in San Antonio! Schilo's serves German and Tex-Mex and always hosts a crowd with friendly service.
The Menger Hotel and the Menger Bar has a lot of historical memorabilia on display showcasing the stay of President Roosevelt and his 'rough riders', as well as Babe Ruth and many more!
At the end of the day we stroll around the Alamo and take a look at the beautiful statues on display around the property.

Haha! Been to the Menger as well. Glenn stayed there during the aforementioned wedding and I visited a lot both while in college and before moving to Arizona. Even have a photo of myself from ages ago where the water feature was in the beginning of the video about 2 minutes in. These videos have been like seeing a strange time capsule. 😄

Yes, there is our Alamo. I sure wish it was not sandwiched in between so much city. It’s not in the safest area in SA either. The construction is about a major effort to help increase tourism. I was reading about it.

There were several neat retail stores inside the Menger. Schilo's restaurant was not in the Menger, but not a far walk away

The fact that you didn't take the trouble or the time to find out how to pronounce Schilo's correctly is pretty sad.
They even have a sign in the restaurant about how to pronounce it.
