Far cry 5 was a masterpiece, everything about the game was amazing to me, especially the story! Even the side quests were fun which is rare as they sometimes feel tedious in other games. In New Dawn it was cool to see the old characters and scenery age over time but it wasn't as good story/villain wise, especially with how they handled Joseph... However, Faith's portion of 5 was my absolute favorite and I love how tragic her story really is with hidden notes around the town referencing that her real name is Rachel and how "Faith" gets replaced every few years with a new girl. "Oh the Bliss" is the best OST from the game, especially when you hear it with the amazing loading screens for Faith's County.
In my first play I confronted Faith first before John and Jacob, and it led a different Joseph cutscene. He said she was not the first one carrying the name Faith.
I know it's 2021 but I just thought that Faith is the only Seed sibling that is actually able to convince you. I mean John, Jacob and Joseph use violence, rarely words to turn you on their side while faith actually speaks to you and shows you the other side.

You kidding me??? That's awesome!!! I LOVE little details like that! It would also explain why no nearby resistance members ever try to help you when you're kidnapped: because they're knocked out too.
The fact I couldn't save Faith was one of the few things I really hated about this game. After the hell her life was (If you pay attention to the game world, it's more than clear she's not evil, just broken and desperate for someone to give a damn about her) I really can't be mad at her for the things she's done. Sure they're messed up, but she's not exactly operating of her own free will, or doing things for the heck of it. Most of what she does it try to help people. Even the Angels, messed up as they are, she's just trying to make them happy.
you've been successfully manipulated by Faith. she's a classic example of a manipulative narcissist who is always the "victim". she helped create a drug that turns people into mindless soldiers for the cult.
@@hinkular Apparently you haven't paid much nuanced attention to game evidence/information beyond the resistance words... Faith is pretty explicitly confirmed a true victim of this and it is pretty clear that her mindstate affected by this bliss herself much like everyone else, so Faith is more lied to and manipulated herself rather than being this "liar and manipulator". There is nothing "being manipulated by her" for wanting to help a tragic brainwashed girl(who btw shows plenty of redeeming qualities) out of a cult and redeem her rather than killing her like any good person would prefer... Wanting to help Faith OUT of the cult only shows the opposite of what her actual goal from Joseph which is to bring you in trust to Joseph and the cult - not showcasing him and the cult in a horrifying and disturbing light which Faith's tragic story clearly does. In the end it helps to look at things more nuanced and beyond the resistance words...
Maybe it’s just me, but that final scene with her talking seems like she’s finally starting to snap out of the bliss and have some sense of reality again.
Man I wanna hug her so much when you first met her. Still stupid there wasn't an option you could spare her and get her the help she desperately needed.

What he says around the 8:00 mark reminds me of something Terrence McKenna once said: "When a culture gets into trouble, instinctively what it does is it goes back through its own past, until it finds a moment where things seemed to make sense. Then it brings that moment forward into the present... " He called it the Archaic Revival. He uses the example of how the Italians brought back democracy from the dead, during the Renaissance. For some reason it sounds eerily similar to what the Father says.
man faith is is awesome, i remember then me and my buddy where playing coop and this come up, we both were quiet and listen to her lol, my friend like you can take me hahaha
Year late but seeing the scenes all over again it made me think about it a lot. Some of things the marshal said was true that’s life even the things Faith said I thought about it too. Damn sometimes you can relate to the things they said even the Father also.

Oh god she reminded me of these Mormon girls who would keep coming up to my door. Talked to them a little too much the first time and mentioned I was baptized as a kid but wasn't really practicing any religion. They looked all googly eyed after I said that and mentioned something like it never being too late and "having a little faith". Cute but a little too well rehearsed.
Edens Gate was too aggressive and too willing to shed blood, if Joseph could have reigned in his family and not killed things might have gone a lot better. They all had the ability to build a strong society. They all had their own charisma and the ability to make people believe and want to join. Let the hunters and wolves go after those who tried to stop them but not to drag off anyone who didnt want to join and force them to join. Face it hanging up dead bodies is not the way to show you are a loving family and make people want to join it.

No he wasn't, none of the Seeds were evil, they brought Faith into their family and accepted her, her test was to simply know if she was ready for what was ahead which was to prepare for the collapse, Joseph was trying to save everyone because he knew the collapse was coming, if anything; we are evil
Grandmaster Dragonborn If you say they aren‘t evil then you got manipulated in real life. These are evils and they try to have you on their side. You‘ve fallen for it pathetic
+Tkcb 2799 I never fall to anything, and you've kinda mixed up what I'm saying: Joseph does a lot of evil stuff, yes that's correct, but in the end, his ultimate intentions are for what he calls the greater good, he wasn't an angel, but neither was he a devil
@@Tkcb2799 What Grandmaster said is true lmao. Sure, the seeds arent angels but the deputy isnt an angel either. They both kill people in the end, and Joseph was trying to get people in bunkers to save them. He was right in the end though. lol
Faith is one of the villians in far cry that made me feel so awful for killing. She was generously sweet and yes she did questionable threats like making the angels without their constant but how she approach us Multiple times with peace and she understands us but we didn’t which upset her, I can honestly feel her wrath on us in the end and it’s understandable why she did what she did in the end. She was giving us the kindness that she believes that we Truly deserve to be saved and to stay safe. She wanted to protect us. 🥺😭💖
Yeah maybe she can be considered the most dangerous in terms of her "hard to fight against" methods but also clearly the least evil and evidently victimized and manipulated aswell. Her childish naivety and what she says isn't really manipulation on her part - she is clearly manipulated and truly brainwashed herself to believe that the bliss helps people the same way as it did to her.
After seeing this i had the feeling that John and Jacob weren't really brothers/related to Joseph either. Faith was the only one who wants to break away from Joseph's grip but afraid to do so.
I don't wanna go back... ...ever. Have you ever stopped nad looked at how your life's turned out? I mean what you've actually done with it? you know... We're told we can be anything, right? A famous singer, a hall of famer, a movie star... We're all gonna be a success. But no, that's not... that's just not true. We live mundane lives just doing what someone else tells us to do. Day after day. Everybody thinks they have free will, but c'mon, when's the last time you did something that wasn't required? Demanded? No. We don't live our lives, we live theirs. And we think we have freewill... but that is just a lie. An illusion. Oh man, I'm so done with that. I'm done with being the Yes Man. I'm done with being the Errand Boy and I'm done being the Garbage Collector. I'm so done. Because... if that is real life, then what is the point? This place gave me the chance to become something I thought I could never be: Happy. And in the end, isn't that the only thing that really matters? Happiness.
@@ADESINAF because she actually did seem like a good person when she explained everything in the boss battle she who was just in control of the father and his cult
I used to know a girl, more than a few girls actually, that were a lot like Faith. Abused by family, bullied relentlessly, and manipulated by authority figures. All of them, christian, and had been abused by the church at one point or another. Every time I play and I see faith, I instantly sympathize and genuinely feel sad for her. I wish there was an alternate ending to the game where you could save Faith, or maybe even join the cult.
It's obvious she's still alive because we never killed her in the real world. I think we will see her again. Her story couldn't really end like that. There wouldn't have been so much tragedy in it otherwise. There's more for us to find out. Hints are probably all around the Hope Country, so players are supposed to find them and finally come across Faith. Or this will be added in new future contents.
Okay so i just realised something....after the cutscene with Faith dieing your actually outside her bunker...your just really high on the bliss so you see bliss trees and grass that should be Hope county....that mean yeah she did die...she didnt die in the bliss she died in the actual game world but ur really high do it looks different.....sorry to break that news
So what? It doesn't matter where you were after that. Remember, almost every time you came across Faith was in the bliss, including the scene where you "killed" her. That's how drugs affect you. You would see whatever she wanted you to see, she's really good at doing this. You might have met her and talked to her somewhere, then you started going to her bunker as the effect of drugs started going away. That's why you could observe the real world still mixed up with some bliss hallucinations, THINKING that killing Faith also took place in the same real world, which actually didn't. So you "fought" her in a dream, then you got conscious around her bunker and she'd already fled. That's how she made you think that you killed her. And she did it pretty well, I think.
ya know its funny I feel sorry for Faith she was brainwashed and was only a little girl when she was put into all of this she was innocent and did not deserve the outcome we had to give her

I love the part where the marshal talks to you on the boat...it's so true,
But I can also hear my favourite theme in the background (We will rise again, reinterpretation - By hammock)
11:38 damn deep and kinda right
She is so sweet.
Honestly? I really feel sorry for you man. You really love Faith and she just used you.
@@Jessica-kh1qg You are a female and so were immune to her charm. Did you feel sorry for any of the three male antagonists?
Women use men all the time - your power of manipulation is incredibly complex and something very little of us males can comprehend...even females don't realise they are subconsciously being manipulative - it's nature. Only extremely confident or extremely arrogant males are resistant to female manipulation.
@@craigstephens93 Bullshit! I love my boyfriend! I would do everything for him! And I would never! NEVER use him! He's the best man I know!
@@craigstephens93 thats sexist as heck, if one girl using a man makes every girl use someone and be manipulative then theres plenty of men who abuse so doesnt that make men abusers?

No wonder they call Faith a siren. The singing is 10/10.
Did I manipulate people if a sing like that?
So me and my sisters are sirens because we sing like that?
@@princessnixforce8188 maybe
My favorite character.
I remember being with Sharky and hearing him say "Why is everything getting so wubbly?" before that smoke captured me, fuck was it weird yet hilarious
I agree but I hate her cuz she killled my boy Virgil he was so sweet and innocent :
you've been successfully manipulated by Faith. she's a classic example of a manipulative narcissist who is always the "victim". she helped create a drug that turns people into mindless soldiers for the cult.
@@hinkular no, she didnt. There are hidden notes throughout her region that say that her real name is Rachel and "Faith" gets replaced every few years
@@AtomicWaffle yeah, and Rachel's father was a doctor who experimented with plants as part of an altruistic effort to save people.[2]
@@hinkular Apparently you haven't paid much nuanced attention to game evidence/information beyond the resistance words...
Love Her Voice ❤️
Same.
Me too.
Her voice is really nice.
I think in today's cruel, rejecting world most good hearted people have an inner Faith Seed. 😢
I deffinately have one!

24:08 I seriously felt bad for faith. She never deserved any of this
The Mega Bob Joseph made her sick in the head like what joker did to harly
@@kii7210 ye she did
Neither did John, yet nobody cares about the poor guy :(
Snowcone how? She was kidnapped and brainwashed at a young age into joining Joseph’s family. He ruined her life
Snowcone If I remember correctly she just drugged the shit out of them, I’m pretty sure John had the most blood on his hands
Maybe it’s just me, but that final scene with her talking seems like she’s finally starting to snap out of the bliss and have some sense of reality again.
Well it is not just you... It is pretty canon.
I agree with you
There's a fanfic that depicts this wherein she also receives a redemption arc throughout the entire game. I think it was called 'Ambivalence'.
Faith my heart goes out to you.
Man I wanna hug her so much when you first met her. Still stupid there wasn't an option you could spare her and get her the help she desperately needed.
The voice actors in this game were so good, especially Faith and Joesph. The music was also great.
She has awesome and beautiful voice.
I just realized that at 2:53 you can see the tattoo of bliss' formula, C17H21NO4 (cocaine) on Faith's arm.
That's not bliss. She used to be a drug user before meeting Joseph. The tattoo is from those days, not her time at Eden's Gate.
Michael Carmona far cry wiki says it is
It’s deff the formula for bliss but bliss isn’t cocaine it’s scolpamine
The words and the voice amazing❤️ I really loved faith's character
Imagine the bliss scenes in VR...
I'm still very new to VR, OMG, this full experience would send me to a different experience mainly because when she takes you to the hands of the mainf main guy OMG
For some reason it sounds eerily similar to what the Father says.
that first cutscene is just so sad, poor girl
She doesn't exist out of the bliss. It's like she's an actual spirit, a goddess of her own realm
How can you be sure that anything in this game was real? You're constantly surrounded and taking bliss
Watch the short movie Inside Edens Gate. It confirms she is indeed a real person.
@@Jamesamong007 that still leaves the question of how she's doing everything magical???
Except you see her in the real world at the start when you first try to arrest Joseph.

It cut me surprisingly deep, made me realize, I could probably get sucked into a cult.
And the most sad thing about it. He is actually right.
You only live a average life because you NEED to STRIVE and FIGHT to get something better
I don't want to kill her. I want help her. Her voice is magical. I want save her and protect her from Joseph. This is what deputy should do.
That is exactly what makes her more dangerous than John and Jacob.
At 25:25, she said the ending of far cry.
Year late but seeing the scenes all over again it made me think about it a lot. Some of things the marshal said was true that’s life even the things Faith said I thought about it too. Damn sometimes you can relate to the things they said even the Father also.
I'm 3 years late 😭 I started playing in 2022 and I'm obsessed
@@Thebox19750 that’s ok I still play it till this day 😁 it’s a really good game. I really enjoyed this one the most out of the far cry games. Just cause this one was just a little more real.
I just wanna give faith a hug
The Bliss is like Canada in anywhere other than Southern Ontario. Extremely sparsely populated and teeming with wildlife.
I told you... I didn't want to leave.
I think there was a point they were more calm and composed but now they think they have enough members enthralled and the Collapse is coming soon enough they're well past careing.

I keep replaying this game over and over and over and over to this day cause I won't ever accept the fact that the game tells us to F***IN' KILL Faith Seed 😭The way Ubisoft designed everything about and around her is nothing but a goddamn masterpiece and then they want us to ruin it all??
Agreed. They botched this game’s story😕
I feel sorry for her. She was not a bad person. She was simply manipulated by Joseph. He is real evil.
He was right in the end though. lol
Nare Maretti yes she wasn't a bad person at all , I really didn't want to kill her but we have not other choice so .. 😂
Faith Seed is my faith
Gonna name my daughter Faith
did you have a daughter yet
Damn i'd probably fall for her tricks, her voice is very soothing imo.
THE BLISS WILL SET YOU FREE
Faith is one of the villians in far cry that made me feel so awful for killing. She was generously sweet and yes she did questionable threats like making the angels without their constant but how she approach us Multiple times with peace and she understands us but we didn’t which upset her, I can honestly feel her wrath on us in the end and it’s understandable why she did what she did in the end. She was giving us the kindness that she believes that we Truly deserve to be saved and to stay safe. She wanted to protect us. 🥺😭💖
Imo she is truly the most dangerous out of the 3 Seed underbosses. The level of manipulation and intoxication pulls you in.
Faith was the only one who wants to break away from Joseph's grip but afraid to do so.
this cult without the kidnapping and weapons and threats and bliss would be extremely beautiful
so, a church?

I mean what you've actually done with it? you know...
We're told we can be anything, right?

We're all gonna be a success.
But no, that's not... that's just not true.
We live mundane lives just doing what someone else tells us to do.
Day after day.
Everybody thinks they have free will,
but c'mon,
when's the last time you did something that wasn't required?
Demanded?
No.
We don't live our lives, we live theirs.
And we think we have freewill... but that is just a lie.
An illusion.

And in the end, isn't that the only thing that really matters?
Happiness.

@@ADESINAF because she actually did seem like a good person when she explained everything in the boss battle she who was just in control of the father and his cult
Faith story is so sad
the boot-scene is on of the best in the game.
Feel bad for her all you want, but wtf? You're disgusting if you'd actually join the cult.
12:22 I started to feel empty, how useless I am.
I really don't understand but I'm kind of crazy with this character whispering + the music.
Wow the part at 26:49 really moved me
So if when we are in the bliss we are dreaming..so we fight Faith in a dream...does that
mean Faith is still alive??????
XxVortexShredderxX It would be so cool to see her again
It's obvious she's still alive because we never killed her in the real world. I think we will see her again. Her story couldn't really end like that. There wouldn't have been so much tragedy in it otherwise. There's more for us to find out. Hints are probably all around the Hope Country, so players are supposed to find them and finally come across Faith. Or this will be added in new future contents.
TheMostFacts agreed
She has beautiful voice and she is like a hypnoterapist. I wish she wasn't bad and could have her chance for redemption. Joseph ruined her.
ya know its funny I feel sorry for Faith she was brainwashed and was only a little girl when she was put into all of this she was innocent and did not deserve the outcome we had to give her
