    Great review but I am surprised that at that price point the truck doesn't have running boards. Outside of that the features are pretty impressive.

    • @WTFCRLT1
      @WTFCRLT1  Месяц назад

      True, but I paid $230 for my running boards and they took about 15 minutes each to install. Most aftermarket options look a little better than factory in my opinion too 👍🏼

    Dude, just found your channel. EXCELLENT review!! Great detail spoken in a calm, non-hype-y delivery with excellent annunciation ( looking at you, "Pick Up Truck & SUV Talk" guy..) Covered ALL the bases, all well done! As for the truck, I'm currently towing with a 2014 RAM 2500 Cummins with almost 250K on it. Great truck, but eventually looking for a smaller, get around -light work duty truck. Seriously considering a GMC Sierra with the torquey 3 liter Duramax. But the Ram 1500 Laramie will definitely be on my test drive list. I'm subscribing right now!..

      @WTFCRLT1  Месяц назад +1

      Thanks so much man I’m really glad I could help! The Ram rides a lot better if you’re looking for more of the get around vehicle, they tow about the same but the Sierra has about 250 lbs more payload if you need to carry anything serious 👍🏼

    You mentioned you’re going to 33 inch tires. Are you changing rim sizes to 18 inch like the rebel? Also, will that change the speedometer reading and acceleration much?

    • @WTFCRLT1
      @WTFCRLT1  2 месяца назад +1

      No, I kept the factory 20” rims, acceleration is slightly slower but the ride quality is 10x better, and for every 29mph, I’m going 1mph faster than the speedo reads so 80 is about 83 but I can get that calibrated at some point. I’ll post a video of them in the next week! 👍🏼

      Are you gonna post that video soon? I was wondering what brand tires you got and how they look on your truck.

    • @cheryladams8520
      @cheryladams8520 2 месяца назад

      Also, are you running 3:21rear end gear? I’m asking because that’s what I have and I’m thinking of going to 33 inch tires as well using the stock 20” rims

    • @WTFCRLT1
      @WTFCRLT1  Месяц назад +1

      Yes, I have the 3.21 gears. The last couple weeks have been really crazy, I haven’t had the chance to wash my truck let alone record the video. I’ll tell you in advance that they’re “Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus” 275/60/20. There 33.1” tall and 10.8” wide so about the same as a 33/10.5/20. I’ll try getting the video recorded this weekend, if not next weekend 100% 👍🏼

    The HEMI was dropped due to emissions. Hemispherical combustion chambers are notorious for bad emissions. Ford and GMs V8s get a better EPA rating and result in lower fines. For example In 2019 FCA had -13,345,869 emission credits to Fords -3,221,756. They then had to purchase credits from Tesla to offset their emissions.
    I imagine the merger into STELLANTIS had something to do with dropping the HEMI to save millions on emissions credits.

    • @JoshSTEELERS
      @JoshSTEELERS Месяц назад

      I found 2022 EPA Emission credits
      They are better but FORD made millions while STELLANTIS had to payout millions again. These are based on Real world CO2 emissions compared to the Regulation set by the EPA
      STELLANTIS -6,706,202
      FORD +1,711,902

      There might be more to that because I personally average almost 18mpg in my 5.7 4x4 Ram 1500. I’ve seen people Baby their 5.0 2WD f150s and still barely get 17 mpg. GM’s 6.2? Good luck getting 15mpg lol I know emissions are more than just MPG, and it might have something to do with the fact that the Hemi was a majority of the engines sold whereas ford and GM offered smaller turbo or diesel options to offset their V8 emissions. I just wish they added this turbo 6 without completely killing the 5.7. Heck, throw the 6.4 into the mix as well who wouldn’t want a more affordable TRX alternative with more punch than a Rebel👍🏼

    Remember hes laughing, and this is just the standard output I6 engine. We know Mopar for underrating their engines. This means the standard output 3.0 makes as much as the ford 3.5HO.
    Mopar would have never gone this route had they not be fined millions for making so many successful V8s.
    What goes around comes around.
