One of my top 10, and I have been listening to Touhou music for five years now.

If you're sure it's chinese and not kanji, 怨 usually means resentment/grudge, and fury would be 怒. so it would mean god of grudges/resentment.

....Not exactly. 怨 also means 'begrudge' and/or 'blame'. Such as the term 埋怨.

The violin at the beginning reminded me a bit of Joe Hiasashis works.

Can anyone tell what the inscriptions on the sides of the doors say?

The Chinese inscriptions were borrowed from a real-life temple (named 台北霞海城隍廟) in Taipei, Taiwan:
      「霞彩臨門八蜡配天赫濯,海澄啟宇六龍隨地封遷。」
The meaning is completely unrelated to Touhou mythology. They simply describe which deity the temple was built for and also the original location of the temple in Fujian, China before moving to Taiwan.
