    Zoe is THE best. Fortunate to have worked for her and with her. She was a huge help in getting my freelance career off the ground. Thank you, Zoe.

    I've only been an occassional viewer of your channel, but it's always been super informative. I've heard you talk a great deal about how much you like Pro Tools and how important a solid DAW is. I've never had a chance to work with Pro Tools and mostly use Logic. More recently though, I've started using the NI Maschine DAW for composing, since it's very intuitive and quick, but then taking it to Logic for levelling and mastering. I definitely hear what you say about how terrible it is when you have to go from creative mode to technical mode to troubleshoot your DAW, but I seem to run into that a lot. I know NI is somewhat new to the DAW game (relatively speaking), so I can understand their growing pains, but Logic does frustrate me sometimes. Could you maybe do an episode talking about various DAWs and your take on their positives and minuses?

    What are you guys talking about, being an Avid commercial? They beat Avid into your head for like a combined 4 to 5 minutes in a 44-minute video and therefore the entire video is an "Avid commercial"? Seriously?

    Do you ever see any company other than Protools on the proverbial throne? At one point the Mac and Aldus PageMaker ruled the graphics roost.

    Is Pro Tools really the one? What about all the others? So many producers here in europe use Logic or Cubase or even Ableton. I've never looked at pro tools at all.

      @JakeAntelis 10 лет назад

      Cubase 7 is as good as protools.

      nope, keep using cubase, there's nothing wrong with it, I use it and rely on it every day, it's amazing software.

    • @JakeAntelis
      @JakeAntelis 10 лет назад

      i agree. I wasn't saying cubase is better or worse i was saying it's as good and will do the job, they all work. it's a piece of software it doesn't make a mix, the end user does.

    Guys, that's not fair. She's worked with some massive poeple and worked on some huge records. She's probably very discrete and efficient, unlike you mouthy lot!

    Somethign about this woman irritates me a little... reminds me of a really strict and no-fun high school teacher that I once had..

      hehe that's EXACTLY what I was thinking. I can't believe they have this "renowned customer service" when this lady seems like she has a huge stick up her ass... I'm not an artist, but I can't imagine recording comfortably around HER...

      Zoe is one of the most pleasant people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I worked at both Avatar and The Hit Factory while she she was at the helm as manager. (In fact I used to avoid the Hit Factory until she started working there.)

      Agreed. I can 100% relate to her stance of professionalism, but the tension is tangible, even around Dave's super chilled vibe. soul searching - really? I think as a role model for so many aspiring engineers watching this, implying there is no time for family if you want to succeed, is tragic.

      Commit, you are reading her wrong brother. Zoe is amazing. She is perhaps the most savvy, ethical, wonderful, respectful, loyal peeps I have met in this biz. And tons of fun! I've known her from her days as a Disciple of Soul, Powerstation, Avatar, Hit Factory. Maloof never giving up on snagging her should tell you something.

    Well there's something not quite right .You have to work 18 hours in a row .Not true no musician can play that long .If I remember correctly it's 8 hours max if you go beyond that someone else takes over.

    44 minute Avid commercial. Cmon, this is ridiculous.
