From what I can tell from the fight the main things are: Weapons wise - tomahawk in phase 1 (for the 8x axe hit break) and then phase 2 will just be all battle tested weapons etc on the warmaster for nuking. Probably not a huge amount more equip wise of note. Skills wise - Phase 1 has cleric overheal skill on the party then probably just stat boost skills. Phase 2 is again all warmaster so stat boosts and fortitude for the faceroll Winnehild's.
well apparently it’s possible do the 2nd phase in one turn (But i think you need max stats for best damage possible), but I don’t think it’s possble to beat the 1st phase under 3-4 turns
Not sure if easily but I had him as sorcerer on phase 1 with the great electric defense accessory. And alfyn on cleric to give him aelfric, haanit as apothecary for healing and BPs then Tressa as runeblade for damage, breaking & sidestep
Very impressive, fastest I could do was 10ish minutes! Can you add your party's setup? Especially when passive and equipment are sooooo important for this fight 😂
You can see my party defensive support skills at the beginning of my " galdera no second class kill" vid. About the equiped stuff, I answered on another vid but mostly battle tested weapons on Olberic, Bishop staff on elemental damage dealers and of course high defensive stuff on everybody as much as I can ( dragon/ crystal vest, sorcerer robes, protective bracelets... Etc)
I barely had enough health to get one hit in, so that I could find and patch the memory location containing the enemy health value (jailbroken Switch). How you people manage to figure out how to essentially one-shot this thing is beyond me.
Hahaha that's pretty much what I did in my own figth against Galdera. Except in the first party I used Cyrus Scholar/Encounter and Ophelia Cleric/Starseer to spam buffed, high level light elemental attacks and Tressa Merchant/RuneLord with light trace and Olberic Warrior/Apothicary for support. And the second party I had Primrose Dancer/Scholar, Therion Thief/Cleric and Alfyn Apothicary/Dancer to support and keep alive H'annith Hunter/Warmaster. Winnehilde's Battlecry x2 and it was done.
How the hell did you attack 8 times in a row with Alfyn?!!! And I had no idea there was a way to give everyone extra bp at the same time. Here I am playing for several hours and days getting bodied by this thing and you kill it with ease smh. I have only been able to break it one time because the souls keep respawning smh
If you are still having trouble there is an axe called Double Tomahawk . Regular attacks hit twice so if you full boost the 4x attack becomes 8x. You can get it from this Purchase/Steal: Archibold the Crusher - Stonegard Valleys (post-Olberic Chp.4) Side Story: Ogen's Epilogue - Northreach (post-Alfyn Chp.4)
@@ninonysoft6865 thank you! I found two of them, was finally able to break him more often but I am still getting destroyed. Just when I think he’s almost dead he attacks like 3 or 4 times in a row. Meanwhile I’m using Olberick battlecry tons of times on the eye with 15,000 plus damage each hit, and with a magic boost from tressa giving him an additional attack after that which does 57,000 and he STILL won’t die! I can’t even make it to the second part
@@k1d9gan89link When I cast lux congererer on it unbroken, it does around 500 three times in a row instead of 1500 three times. It's odd because my characters are all around 81 and I'm using a good staff. When you start attacking it broken, the damage is obscenely more not fully boosted and using an element it isn't weak too than I do with full boost and BP eater and attacking its weakness. How are you doing 50,000*3 at the end? My speed boosted thief does 20,000 tops with Aeber's Reckoning and you aren't even using a divine skill. When I use Winnhelm's battle cry against normal bosses, I usually do less than the amount of damage you are doing against this super high armor boss. I never got a warlord to the second part of the fight, so I have no clue how much I actually would do, but I doubt it would be that much. Even with presumably using fortitude and 1 HP, it shouldn't be that much.
@@bluishwolf As support skills, you'll need: Surpassing Power, BP Eater, Fortitude and Physical Prowess. As equipped weapons, you should use the battle-tested sword, spear, dagger, and bow, together with the Death Cleaver (Axe) and Giant Club (Staff). Use your best combination of armor and 2x Physical Belt (or something close). Then Olberic (with 1 HP) should be able to inflict these high amounts of damage when using Winnehild's Battle Cry. As Galdera's extremities have around 125.000 HP each, Olberic "just" needs to inflict around 21.000 damage per attack. Note however, that the Blade of the Fallen has no weapon-type vulnerabilities, therefore the receiving damage there will be less (you can observe this in the video [3:53]). You can compensate for this by using "Armor Corrosive" on the Blade prior to Olberics Attack. Therion (due to his high speed) is a good choice for this. If your Olberic's P.Atk is not so high, you can use Starseer's "Divination" to increase the damage again by 25%. Good luck!
@@rosu3870 I just used the "if it looks like he is going to get multiple rounds in a row, break him, otherwise keep your HP at 9999 and eat the damage" strategy and eventually won that way.
Still on the look for the setup... we need to know what were the weapons and support abilities... My characters are near 80 lvl and I don't do so much damage with a single blow even buffing as you did.
Nice very nice. People need to also understand that the combinations of certain special weapons and support skills are also coming into play when you do things like this. Not just what jobs you have equipped per se. Boosting Sorcerer Tressa with Aelfyns Enlightenment and Aelfric Auspices after having already giving her an elemental attack buff AND 4x boost, plus whatever kind of suped up magic weapons you've given her let ALONE the amount of special Elem At. items you've used to boost her up (forgot the name of them).............yeah I'm not surprised by the amount of damage you dealt with her jesus. Lest not forget the Peacock Strut boosting her power and using Full Emfeeblement to weaken his magic defense. I guess the only missing ingredient is Dreisangs Spell which honestly would it really be needed at this point? Wouldnt really do that much more damage. Staggering prep went Into this surely
There's a weapon that boosts wind skills, a spear. That's what Tressa is using, I'd guess. And Aelfric's auspices doesn't work with divine skills. Therefore concentrating on one element, being input 6 times, really does more damage than Dreisang's divine.
Tressa is probably the most powerful Ventus Saltare user because of Primeval Bow of Storms and Tradewinds Spear. I know Olberic can do that too, but Warmaster is a much better subclass for him.
As there you can see i have a Damage dealer and then 3 support/weakness dealer for every team. @ken ho At the time of when I was experimenting with it, I couldn't deal more than 9k damage, so I opted to use other abilities instead. But, I will definitely use it whenever I decide to pick octopath back up.
You need a skill called "surpassing power" to be able to go beyond the 9999 damage cap. You get it from the tier 4 warrior support skill. It increases the cap to 99999.
Cyrus already have scholar skills very close to the sorcerer ones ( fire ice and lightning), si It's a bit of a waste to make him sorcerer, whereas you could put it on characters that can't use elem attacks with their primary job at all or just one element . Primrose why not, but for my strat I need a dancer to buff the sorcerer, and It's easier if the dancer is scholar or priest too.
