This is my #FirstTime ever listening to Amorphis. As always I didn't do any research befor listening to this song. So if you have any band-info for me leave it in the comments. Don't forget to give suggestions for me to film more music reactions further down the line.

Please do Amongst Stars by them! Beautiful guest vocals on that one! ❤️ And please do the music videos, there aren't any good quality live videos. But Tomi does switch quite effortlessly between growls and cleans. Joutsen betyder svan på finska och uttalas typ [jå-ot-sen].

This song and ”The Bee” along with Sancta Terra and the top 10 Nightwish songs have somehow unlocked the master playlist in my head, so they might start playing at any time. Often I might wake up hearing that middle-eastern sitar-sounding guitar riff playing in my head...

I saw them in Helsinki Tavastia Club October 14th, 15th and 16th. The 30th Anniversary gigs. Two identical gigs each night, songs from a particular decace each day in reverse order. 2010-2019 first.The first night two last songs were "Death of a King" and "The Bee". Amorphis lyrics are very much influenced by the Finnish National Epic Kalevala. The Bee for example. The song "Bad Blood" caught my ear. I can assure you they sound great live, and Tomi's vocals are perfect. He can easily go from growl to cleans and back. 190 euros well spent.
I like the newer Amorphis a little more, because I found the band later. I don't even know when exactly Tomi joined the band. Esa Holopainen, guitar, no relation to Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish, is the main composer as far as I know. Amorphis cancelled a gig in December, because Esa had a bike accident, broke his collar bone and a couple of ribs. The gig would have been cancelled anyway due to COVID-19.
Tommi Jousen is one of the best who can sing both throut and clean vocals. Last album Queen of Time is really good👍.

May I recommend the Amorphis song “Skyforger”? It has a little of everything that makes this band great!
Ooh, that was the only Amorphis reaction? I hope you did listen them on your own. To me they're like a dream trip: I don't want to wake up from their songs or albums. It's like a TV-series you need to binge watch because you are there, in that world.
Amorphis has been around since early 90'ies and they are really versatile band. Easiest thing is to put them in melodic death metal category.

Then I would like to propose you a one Swedish metal band called Amaranthe. You may start with song called "82nd All The Way". It's originally a song from Sabaton (also Swedish metal band) but I like their version more :)
The Bee is also a great video (the official video and the Live at Wacken with intro) would be good - they are one of my favorite bands - i love the singer - he is unique
Yay, Amorphis! :-) Fanboi here. Tomi's got such a pleasant voice, both clean and harsh, love it.
Awesome band, music and reaction ... but, Hell and Perkele! Your faces are so strangely beautiful that it comes to mind as a teenager (and a little later years) when we had to get around a block again, because we want see those faces again! Sorry for this little addition!
