I strongly disagree, you don’t live life to the full if your alone , my mum died in Covid , I’ve met a wonderful person that thought out the night of horrendous anxiety and deep despair of losing my mother kept me sane , I still choke with anxiety, my parents lie up in the village graveyard which I struggle to visit , I’ve inherited an amazing grade 2 listed house , there are benefits to living alone but I certainly can’t see any 😢

It will look fab down the shed, colourful art to cheer you up. And free your kitchen from some clutter 😅 . Hope youre having a better day today, sometimes you need to go back to bed and get up on the other side lol take care x

Absolutely I agree with you living on your own...my hubby passed two years ago next week 7/7. I hated every minute be on my own in the beginning...couldn't eat or sleep ..now i am so much better and love being on my own...I understand it now. Like you say. If I want I can open the door or window..or drink coffee all day long😅😅 no one telling me whatever...it's paradise 😊 I have a little dog now...not to be lonely
Hope your having a better day tomorrow. But it's still a great video.

It’s almost 1 am in Northern California and I’ve just watched this video.
You are not alone in the kind of day you had my friend, I’ve had them too just like yours.
I almost fell of the bed laughing at the end of you missing your meeting, not because you missed it so much as I could relate to it… imagine showing up for a doctor appt a day early and repeating the same trip one day later, that was me..
Better days ahead. Lovely gifts and cups of tea are always good. Love from my house to yours. 🌹🌸🌻🌺🤗

I lost my husband on 11/22. A first it was overwhelming. But now, the quiet and days without plans are welcomed. Taking each day, doing only what I choose to do has opened up a new way of living.

Also, has there been any unanticipated pleasant/ not so pleasant surprises you've experienced during the last six months? You've made a beautiful little home for yourself & seem so happy having taken a leap of faith. Well done!

Bore da Sean. Aw bless you, what a start to the day you had. 🥺 The gifts you received made up for it though. I have that soup maker, it’s brilliant! I bought my husband a hat like yours, he keeps it in the car for emergencies. The light on it is really good.
Glad you enjoyed seeing Phantom of the Opera. Local amateur drama groups are amazing. I love the Lighthouse Theatre Company.. I see their productions a few times a year.
My son saw Spirited Away in London. A bit bigger than a small amateur drama group. 😆 He thoroughly enjoyed it.
Well done with the weight loss Sean. That’s the secret to successful weight loss. Don’t deprive yourself is the answer, which is clearly working for you. 👏
The old film 🎥 is lovely to see. My husband would love seeing the film because he likes to see the old cars. The babies in the film are probably grandparents by now. 😂
Aw Sean, 😢you missed a meeting. Oh you did have a bad day. 😒 Tomorrow has to be better.
Will you put a protective varnish on the trim of the windows 🪟 on the shed? The natural colour looks lovely. A clear varnish would obviously protect the trim but would let you keep the lovely colour you’ve got now. ❤
Here’s to a better day for you. x

Why?? Who knows. Really hope the next week is smooth as glass for you. So enjoy your channels. You are so comfortable on camera and I feel like we are sitting at my kitchen table and having a wee chat or going for a ramble in the town or countryside. Keep doing what you are doing. So looking forward to further happenings on your homestead. 💕👍🏻

Oh Sean!!!! Talk about a snowball of mishaps in one day. Even down to the biscuits that kept rolling off from inside of the shelf. Dear me! Seeing baby Sean was such a treat you could see your love for being behind and in front of the camera even back then. I shouldn’t giggle but the meeting being the night before? Oh my goodness 🫣. I don’t wish to out Trump anyone here but it actually cheered our home up as we had a family member pass away today. So I wasn’t laughing at you but you definitely made me giggle. Thank you RUclips friend.

Good morning Sean ,great video, the variations of conversation is interesting. I too live alone growing up with 5 siblings getting married mother of 4 now living alone but never lonely. Its please myself come and go. You are fortunate, in lovely surroundings Lots of theatre visits and a good community, handy for shops, its the same where I live, Not too far from Chester and Wales. so much to do in the house and garden life is full. Your weight loss is now more obvious, better than any fad diet just reducing intake. The film at the end is fascinating, my eldest son was born in 1970 clothes and toys were the same wherever you lived. We were living in Welshpool Powys during the 70's times were changing rapidly. By the 80's it was electric charged sit on tractors or trains along the track that was a circular. My son born in 1980 had the train. much more fun than games on a screen that they have nowadays. Good to see the nostalgic movie. thank you for sharing. 😀

If you don’t paint the trim it will rot in no time with the rain running down the trim and water getting behind the trim. I have a summer house each of two windows has 9 panes of glass and each of the two casement doors 18 pans and even although the trim is painted it is now starting to rot, I have it a few years, but yours will rot that much quicker. I would have have painted the trim before installing it. Remember the saying, Dont spoil the ship for ha’porth of tar.😉😳

Some days are just like that, aren't they. If one thing goes wrong, then you can guarantee that several more things will. It's a relief to go to bed and put it behind you.
I love the old film with you as a child. It's nice to relive the old happy memories watching films.
The shed looks good how you've painted it. I think the Rusty Homestead is going to be the best yet.
I was wondering if you'd enjoyed Phantom. So good to have quality performances like that on your doorstep.
Memories of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia being sung many years ago. Thinking Laurel and Hardy but not sure.

Oh dear Sean, I'm having one of those days too. I've just plonked myself down with a cup of tea.
I have a soup maker too, they are fantastic, don't bother with recipes ,use what you have left over. If you have a leek a bit past it's best or a few carrots, a bit of ham or chicken pop it in the soup maker, always season and use a stock cube. Mt daughter even popped some left over Yorkshire pudding in with her leek and potato soups. It was delicious.
Oh, yes, always put at least one or two potatoes in,the thicken the soup.
You are certainly looking like you have lost weight. A soup maker will help with that too. Take care, and God bless. 😊

Dearest Sean. I could not help myself, I laughed out loud when the biscuits fell the second time and when you ended the video with the missed meeting information. This kind of day is one we all have and they are a pain in the rump. I had one a few days ago, dropping lids for my honey jar and spending time cleaning a sticky mess. The plastic deli containers crashing like an avalanche out of the kitchen cupboard and when I stacked them nicely into said cupboard they fell out again. I admit I tosses them all over the place and the colourful language was far from lady like. I have film from the times of my adult children 46-41 all films like what you showed. Perhaps I need to find them and have you digitize them. I have since lost my first born ( last year ) and would love to see her pretty face as a child again. I have been gardening thanks to your inspiring videos. I also have been enjoying my morning tea with you as always. I am so glad I found your Chanel. Perhaps today will begin better than yesterday and if not it matters not because your life is beautiful and your friends out here will gladly follow your adventures.

I bought the wolverine model of the transferor about 6 years ago, I only paid 200 pounds for it, boy they have gone up in price.
I got great results but used final cut to alter the speed from 30 FPS to 16 FPS.
The results you got are quite good but you will find that the take up spool will start to fail and the film will bunch up. Its better to do away with the spool and let the film drop into a box on the floor naturally, it wont harm the film.

It's strange how something can get in your head! Sorry you had one of those days, hopefully the shamrock magnet will bring you better luck 🍀 take care Sean 💜

Hi Sean. We all have days like that. Just have to get on with it and a sense of humour certainly helps. I have lived alone since my partner died in the summer of 2022. I downsized last July and moved from the country to a small market town to be nearer to my son and 4 year old grandson. Living alone does have its good points. Fortunately I am resilient and have always been self-sufficient so in a practical way living alone holds no surprises for me but I do miss having someone around to share things with - still haven't got used to eating on my own. I would change things in a heartbeat if only I could.

Those 'off' days are the worst! Hopefully everything that will go wrong did and you have met your quota for a while.. Lol! That package of Digestive's brought me back. They were dad's favorite and even after we came back to the states, he would look for them. A little bland for me but all a matter of taste of course. As for the media conversion, check into genealogy groups. A lot of people with old movies and videos from family might be in need of converting them to video for family history research.

I've showed up for a play the day before, so I can relate. The energy we have when young, huh? Peddling that fast uphill! Shed looks nice too. Glad the play ended up being good.

I spend three hours pulling weeds. trimming two trees. Then working on my garden. 😊 Have a good sleep tomorrow is another day

I believe the grim humor joke that goes along with days like that is “Some days it’s just not worth chewing through the straps!” Having had those days myself I sincerely hope your next ones are better.

Omg Sean you made me laugh at the end- unfortunately I have more days like that than I care to admit to. It is the human condition I am afraid. As a side note I really enjoyed the home videos. Was that you as a child - very cute and you have always loved cats. Unfortunately all the films my father took of us growing up were lost so I must remember them in my head. One of those bad days in my life. Anyway I am anxious to see more homestead videos. My garden is coming along beautifully this year and seems to be ahead of schedule in part thanks to all your old garden videos I used for reference 😊thanks again
