Doug Stamper was an epic character, but sadly the series went downhill after Francis Underwood was gone.

WE ALL MISS FRANK UNDERWOOD BUT...
his passing (bless him) was totally unexpected. The house of cards was based on a BBC series of the same name, so the American standpoint is just breathtaking.
I am a total fan of the entire show from cast to writers and the production team. It was created and its just a stand alone. Doug Stamper was the vein of the season, in terms of, how is it going to end up! It was a total mess and yet he was a storm brewing throughout the season.
What a way to go.
