I just finished watching Season 1 of Life on Mars. It's brilliant! I can't believe not a lot of people know about his show outside the UK. I got to know about it from a book about the translation/dubbing of TV and films by an Italian author. He used this show as his case study. I watched the show before I read the rest of the book 😂 It's not very easy to find it here in China. Glad my friends found it for me! I'll start watching Season 2 right away.

Remember the nightclub owner who Sam put in prison during 1973 and tried killing him while he was in a coma in 2005 by messing with his drug feed? That is a heavy hint that Sam was actually back in 1973.

great show. I liked Ashes to Ashes too, but its nowhere near as good. Still thats pure opinion. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Lucky they did it in the 70s while they still could. It would be waaay to expensive to do now.

I just finsihed watching "Svět pod hlavou" a Czech series inspired by "Life on Mars", where the main character ends up in a communist totalitarian Czechoslovakia, where what the party needs is more important than truth, I do recommend it for anyone reading, but I'm not sure if it's in English. 🤷 I'll have to check out "Life on Mars", then.

I loved both L. O. M and Ashes but that ending that explained all was a real let down. They would have been better off not explaining it and keeping us guessing.
