I'm afraid that RackaRacka has ruined IT for me, because there is absolutely nothing that Pennywise can do that's worse than Ron. Ron is like, straight hell spawn. Nothing is sacred to him: he's just 350% pure nasty. What's worse, I may actually laugh at the movie because it reminds me of Ron. A Ron wannabe.
I watched IT when I was younger and it scared me, until the ending... which sucked. Hermit Crab attack. But going back and watching it now, at 29... not so scary. That seems to be a general trend with King's movies: fun to watch, but not so scary. But I do hope it's good. A true horror movie is rare these days. The Conjuring series all but has a monopoly on it, IMHO, but there's no telling how long that will last, given the lawsuit.
