This is an ongoing debate within both Jujutsu Kaisen & Jojo communities however I've decided that it is finally time to breakdown who would come out victorious in this battle between 2 powerhouses. Both wield incredible abilities, so why don't we find out what could happen in a hypothetical battle between Gojo & Wonder of U!

Wonder of U is seriously lowballed in this video.WoU activates instantly upon any attempt to 'pursue' Tooru, the Head Doctor. Pursuit includes actions as simple as chasing, fighting, or even thinking about confronting him. The mere sight of Tooru's face triggers an immediate calamity that results in certain death, as shown by the death of characters like Poor Tom when he tried to reach Tooru and his head was shattered by an unexplained collision.
Wonder of U's power operates independently, without Tooru's command. It can cause diseases to accelerate, sudden neck-breaking fatalities, spontaneous explosions, and the guarantee of unfortunate events leading to death, repeatedly rendered items and technology useless, induced illness in people near Tooru, redirected attackers' own strikes to harm teammates, caused infrastructure to suddenly collapse, made individuals hit themselves with their own attacks, forced opponents to miss attacks, even at point-blank range, and has caused minor wounds to become dramatically worse.
The Endless Calamity's potential is nearly infinite, capable of orchestrating indirect deaths through a series of interconnected events, even spanning decades.
Even if Tooru is defeated, Wonder of U continues to exist, affecting anyone who still pursues it.
It does have some weaknesses, such as requiring pursuit to activate. Actions that don't count as 'pursuing' or 'attacking' can approach Tooru without triggering the calamity. Abilities transcending its logic, like the Spin, can harm Tooru but won't prevent the pursuers from being affected.
Wonder of U's abilities are busted, Gojo doesn't have any abilities that would transcend a universal concept. So at best, Gojo is holding out for a few minutes before calamity decides to make him spontaneously explode.
I would also like to add on how WoU is practically a primordial entity, his ability being so disruptive I’d even consider him a mid-tier chaos manipulator with the attributes of:

Why are people still going on about hollow purple being existence erasure that’s been debunked ever since sukuna tanked it and the latest chapter we see sukuna again survive a point blank purple explosion. As for the kenjaku and yuki statement the only reason kenjaku survived was due to yujis moms gravity CT that was the perfect counter to yukis mass CT
That hasn't really been debunked as the only thing that seems to be able to stop purple is domain amplification. At least it hasn't been said that anything else can stop purple. Domain amp basically creates a domain without a technique imbued around your body and absorbs incoming techniques. It's not tanking it I don't think.
Sukuna never tanked it.
What he did was negate most of it with Domain Amplification just like he did with Gojo's Red.
That is why only his hands were destroyed.

Not a debate, gojo loses this. You can't get rid of calamity, for you to beat calamity you need to ascend above logic and reasoning which gojo is clearly bound by (laws of nature), and if he manages to kill tooru (which is highly unlikely), calamity will keep existing. The effects of calamity can make a pencil hitting gojo be as impactful as a mahoraga attack whilst nullifying his infinity the same or even worse and the damages increases over time.
I mean Gojo's purple technically transcends logic since it proves the existence of tachyons. It is a contentious topic but in depends on how you scale it. Also if you wonder how sukuna was able to survive purple, it was probably because of DA and the distance of purple.
only problem with Wonder of U's calamity is that they would happen at the speed that they normal will happen. As soon as the first brain cancer or any diseased cell takes shape: RCT. And other things that will start outside of Gojo's body will just be blocked or slowed down by his infinity. And things really don't know if they have approached Gojo yet. So by logic of calamities, the "forces of nature" will probably "think" they already got Gojo and stops trying.

I think there are two main things here that people don't seem to understand.
The first is the nature of Wonder of U's attacks. Wonder of U doesn't just 'make a bad thing happen' (eg. teleport a star in front of you) it is clearly shown to defy all conventional logic in its effects. A drop of rain creates something akin to a bullet wound and a leaf cuts someone's finger cleanly off. I don't think that arguments about 'amount of power' are relevant here, the calamities Wonder of U causes clearly aren't about 'how they do something' but 'that they do it' (it's not that the leaves were really sharp but that they were leaves that cut peoples fingers off). Also if Gojo used an ability it could probably be made to fail and backfire, making this a moot point.
The second is the nature of Wonder of U's defences. Firstly, Wonder of U can exist without its user so just killing them is not effective. Secondly, Wonder of U is described as a "natural law of calamity" and can very clearly only be destroyed by things outside the world's 'logic'. Gojo does not possess attacks which operate like this so he is unable to kill Wonder of U (a common response here is to mention Gojo's 'Purple' as it is described as producing 'imaginary mass' but to me this is framed as more or a mathematical 'imaginary number mass' instead of a 'does not exist mass' meaning it would likely not work).
I think the main cause of these misunderstandings is the difference in how power is presented in both series'. Power in Jujutsu Kaisen is a relatively traditional form of power, being more akin to energy or force (stronger people make bigger boom). In JJBA on the other hand, the 'energy' power levels are rather low, stronger people having more 'conceptual' power (stronger people invalidate all attacks from weaker people). This causes issues with the most powerful characters in JJBA as they possess abilities which make them undefeatable by normal means but end up looking very similar in 'energy' power to characters who do not possess this property (eg. The World, King Crimson, Made in Heaven, and maybe D4C: Love Train would probably lose but Gold Experience Requiem would likely win).
TL;DR Gojo is strong but Wonder of U's offensive and defensive properties cannot be mitigated without surpassing the 'logic' of the world, something which Gojo cannot do.

I hope wonder of u comes back without a user. The idea of a stand without one is haunting and especially with his powers makes him more terrifying.

@@goran5844 I think it’s one of those stands that’s meant to exist regardless of the reset. It’s calamity/fate so as long as there’s that logic then the stand can never really die.
While the user is gone, the stand existed by itself for some time so it’s not unreasonable to assume it can come back without its user.

Wonder of U has infinite range and pursues you endlessly even after the user is dead; it manipulates both logic and fate, which is also another Universal law/constant in the JoJoverse; in fact, you could argue that calamity is an aspect of fate and once targeted by it you are fated to die. You forgot to mention that Wonder of U could only be destroyed by Soft and Wet Go Beyond; i.e a bubble that exists outside of the logic of reality thereby causing Wonder of U's ability to be ineffective; Mamezuku explains that the bubbles "do not exist in this world". Even if Gojo does kill Tooru there is literally no chance for him to destroy the post-mortem form of Wonder of U since he would have to destroy the concept of calamity itself. There is basically no way Gojo wins because as stated he doesn't have access to an ability like Soft and Wet Go Beyond; all of his abilities are bound by reality. The only way I can see it is if you make the argument that purple is an imaginary attack and thereby is not bound by the laws of the Universe; i.e Yuki creating imaginary masses with her ability, but even that is tricky considering imaginary masses are consistent with our interpretation of the quantum physics and are only a different aspect of what we perceive to be "laws and constants" of our Universe.
EDIT : I want to add that my interpretation of Go Beyond is an ability that cannot be affected calamity; meaning that is beyond logic and fate of the JoJoverse : it is unaffected by the flow of calamity the manipulation of logic and fate itself.

Honestly, its either a stalemate, or Gojo loses. There's no real way for Gojo to kill Wonder of U completely. Calamity will exist even after the physical body of Wonder of U dies.
There IS a way to kill Gojo, even if it's not readily available for Wonder of U. But at some point, one way or another, Gojo will die to calamity.

How to powerscale WoU:
If it obeys logic in *ANY* WAY, WoU will make it turn on you.
As seen with how Calamity killed Johnny and his stand, Tusk Act 4 (which uses the power of infinite rotation), Infinity is subject to Calamity.
The only way i believe Gojo could win this fight is if he used Hollow Purple, as in a way, it is similar to Soft & Wet: Go Beyond, the only ability that could harm Wonder of U. Though this is a technicality and might not play out correctly.
This whole fight is probably the most up to speculation fight I've ever seen, though I think Wonder of U would be the winner 90% of the time.
Imaginary doesn’t mean Beyond Logic. Gojo is still bound by the laws of the universe, the rules of cursed energy, how he wouldn’t even be able to see WOU. Hollow Purple being an existence eraser implies the universe is using its logic to give that thing existence initially. Where as Concepts like Calamity are intangible, they are still in the bounds of logic, but cannot realistically exist in a physical form, as everything that could come under as a calamity is incomprehensible, which is what makes WOU so powerful. Gojo could theoretically cause damage with hollow purple on WOU, but Go Beyond could flick out one bubble to ruin Gojos entire bag.
For the last time.. THE WONDER OF U DID NOT KILL JOHNNY! The spin caused the Ginko tree leaves to gain a stand, and that stand sent that boulder to kill Johnny.

The entire story of jojolion was about breaking a curse (Calamity). Wonder of u is essentially the main villain of the entire story itself since it's the literal manifestation of misfortune.
Johnny was killed by the Calamity but the bullet he shot at his son caused the series of events necessary for Josuke to be born as the perfect counter and destroy wonder of u.
As described in steel ball run, Tusk Act 4's bullets will always reach it's target, it may take a detour but it will reach its destination. When Johnny shot his son he was shooting Calamity (The curse or misfortune) and eventually through Josuke it reached its target.

Raw stats like speed, durability, etc shouldnt really matter to wonder of you because you can't punch a concept that can scale attacks to harm to target. Gojo's manipulation of space (which isn't even uncommon in jojo's, and even then its at a weaker extent to some) is based off of logic/fate. The fact that calamity is essentially fate manipulation using the logic of the universe is far beyond gojo. gojo would literally have to overcome fate which is something we haven't seen him do and wou would scale higher than love train's 4d mathematical dimensions, and by extension gojo and the physics behind the tachyon
For anyone who thinks gojo can win is severly mistaken. Mostly because this video describes WOU as being way weaker than it actually is.
WOU can cause illogical things so happen such as normal raindrops becoming deadly, a falling leaf being able to cut through your body or something annihilating you by simply bumping into you.
Yes WOU could kill gojo by just destryoing his brain but it could just as easily make the air around gojo poisonous with a new chemical that is way deadlier than any normal poison and can't be healed as easily. Or it could even cause something ti bypass infinity entirely.
Although WOU is all hax and no stats, most things like speed and strength as irrelevant because of its ability to manipulate fate.
The only possible ways for gojo to kill WOU is with either domain expansion or hollow purple. Both of which would have gojo think of attacking WOU and require an action resulting in WOU's ability activating.
Many people will argue that hollow purple and go beyond are the same. Although I don't believe so, even if they were the same, luck played a huge role in josuke's win. Not to mention the fact that go beyond in itself was the result of the rokaka.

Gojo pursuing wou wouldnt result in an immediate death, but hed not get very far. Calamity increases exponentially, going from a pebble being hurled at you to a literal meteor striking you. This is still quite silly. All of Gojo's techniques exist with the Logic of JJK's world, rendering them useless.
I actually really like the speed scaling in this video. It's a lot more believable than the "infinitely fast because he was moving in a timeless realm" speed scaling that I heard before, at least in my opinion.

When it comes to battles between series you have to equalize. Some one like Darth Vader would easily defeat and kill ganondorf from Zelda despite the series claim that only the master sword can defeat ganon.

WoU's calamity depends on how much you want to pursue the target. Let's say, you target WoU with a building level ability. Calamity would take in place and strike back with another building level threat and nullify/cancel your ability. Therefore if Gojo uses Purple against WoU, Gojo wouldn't even be able to use Purple and he'd most likely die instantly. Plus, calamity is can also be a damage multiplier. This has been shown many times in the manga. One time was when it suddenly started to rain, and those rain droplets were as strong as a bullet. If Gojo had intrusive thoughts about Tooru/WoU, he'd simply die. "What about Gojo's 6 eyes?" Why would Gojo use his 6 eyes on someone he doesn't wanna pursue? By the moment he pursues WoU/Tooru, he'd die. But, let's say Gojo managed to use 6 eyes on WoU. Great, now Gojo can simply activate reversed cursed technique to make it a stalemate, right? Nope. wou's ability is more of a law of nature rather then just a stand ability. it sets up various events that have the intention to kill an opponent if they pursue the stand or it's user. now seeing as how gojo has infinity (creates infinite space between the user and any objects) you would think these events would have no effect on gojo, but there can also be internal effects such as diseases/illnesses. if gojo can tank this though we have to realise that one opponent must die, and wou cannot be harmed through normal means. so he can just target tooru, right? the problem is that six eyes allows gojo to see and read cursed energy, which we have to assume tooru doesn't have. so finding tooru will be a hard task, as he usually only pilots his stand from far distances. wou's ability gives massive misfortune to anyone who pursues them, with this misfortune increasing when the intent to pursue them increases. so when gojo is searching for tooru the events will get increasingly more dangerous. but then again the most dangerous events will mainly be non-disease based events, which infinity could stop. many people argue that calamity can completely ignore infinity, but the only real answer we can get is 'we don't know'.
there are two ways that tooru could win: 1. gojo does not find tooru and his attempts to find him causes more lethal events which ends up with gojo dying from various diseases caused inside of his body, or 2. calamity's events (which are not disease related) do bypass infinity and kill gojo. but for the second option we do have to note that gojo can move at speeds beyond light and maybe even greater, but calamity's limits are almost infinite depending on the intent to pursue, so it could be possible that the events could outspeed gojo, but yet again we don't know. now gojo has one way to beat wou: find and kill tooru, but this is only a slim chance due to the fact that tooru could just be some random citizen, and will most likely be ignored unless gojo was having a bad day. now i would say this if it wasnt for gojo's ace in the hole, hollow purple. hollow purple is a combination of both blue (an ability which pulls) and red (an ability which repels), creating an imaginary mass. in the manga, wou was defeated using go beyond, a "bubble" which is actually just a rod moving incredibly fast which explodes upon contact. the reason why this matters it because it 'does not exist in this world', allowing it to break the laws of nature that wou controls, allowing it to physically harm it. both go beyond and hollow purple do not 'exist', so would this attack effect wou? clear answer yes, but it cant fully erase every being it touches, as seen by sukuna, and if we check wou's stand stats it says that it's durability is infinite. so will hollow purple kill it? probably is the only answer we can muster. these result in both characters having only having one completely possible way for wou to defeat their opponent, and two possible ways for gojo to defeat their opponent. however gojo's first possible way to defeat wou is incredibly luck based. so pretty much it's either gojo lands a hollow purple on wou, or if wou's calamity causes enough diseases in gojo's body to kill him. in more simple terms:
wou method 1: 100% possible and can plausibly kill gojo
wou method 2: hypothetical and probably not possible

gojo method 1: completely luck based but can still happen (do take in mind this method will make wou's first method more possible)
gojo method 2: probably will kill wou
since gojo's first method would most likely end up with wou getting the w and its incredibly luck based, gojo would have to rely on hollow purple to kill wou. but we dont fully know if hollow purple will kill wou. wou's 1 method is 100% foolproof, however... REVERSED CURSED ENERGY!!! gojo can fully regenrate himself after every attack if it doesnt immediatley killing him, making gojo more likely to survive each event... BUUUUTTTT viruses have to be destroyed, and reverse cursed energy restores... so viruses will still gojo if they are lethal enough, but heart attacks and other more imminently dangerous diseases would most likely be avoided using reversed cursed energy. so all wou can hope for is that gojo dies a slow demise... and all gojo can rely on is that hollow purple can harm wou. each one is both not ideal, wou's viruses killing gojo vs hollow purple killing wou. sure, hollow purple will effect wou, but will it destroy it, even through its infinite durability? well yes, if we accept that wou is damaged by hollow purple then its damage will be put on the user, which is just flesh and blood. but thats still hypothetical, which the viruses are not. therefore wou has a clear cut way to kill gojo, but gojo only has hypothetical ways to kill tooru and wou. therefore...

Hollow purple does NOT follow logic. Neither does blue, or red, or his domain expansion. Blue is negative mass (which is not possible so the universe has to recirpocate by creating mass which is not possible again so gojo is defying logic and forcing the universe to cope with this, also defying logic.) Red is the amplifcation and creation of infinite, sped up mass which again is not possible. Both of these abilities defy logic, and even if you think they DONT, Hollow purple does. Hollow purple is the mixture of the force of repellance and attractance, The foreign space created from amplification is being ripped apart by the infinity that has been brought into reality via red. It’s hard to explain but if you constantly rip space infinitely, ur left with nothing, nothing cannot be defined so it’s imaginary mass,deleting anything it comes into contact with. which is again defying the logic of the universe since matter cannot be created or destroyed.

Unless I'm mistaken, this is exactly where he dies. The calamity effects of wou have been shown to both defy laws of physics (raindrops hitting with the force of bullets) and use your own or other powers against you (mamezuku rai falling into josuke's bubble trap)
As for why here exactly, the effects of calamity are automatic, triggering when someone intends to pursue tooru or wou, but the kicker is that it's as sensitive as being curious about the identity of the head doctor.
Since wou's calamities can nearly take off someone's leg just by bumping them or altering the outcome of an otherwise equivalent exchange, who's to say they can't just ignore the properties of infinity and punch a hole in him anyway?
Cursed energy is different from stand energy, being negative emotions rather than life force, meaning the stand advantage applies. Despite this, wou is visible to non-stand users, but this is bad for the sorcerer, since wou mostly leaves people alone if they don't try to pursue. Even if hollow purple being an imaginary force means it's above logic, the introductory scenario you gave out doesn't give him a chance to pull out his strongest attacks before trying to aim them at wou gets him killed.

The thing with the imaginary mass is tricky because you could argue that purple exists within the confines of our reality considering the fact that it is based on Quantum Physics and the concept of masses that cannot be quantified i.e the theory of Tachyons. That is definitely a possible answer to WoU being destroyed. However imo, the interpretation more consistent with the manga is that WoU exists as a concept of the Universe; calamity is an aspect of fate (a universal law in JoJo, several characters have seen to manipulate and transcend the concept of fate; Soft and Wet Go Beyond, GER, King Crimson, Dragon's Dream) and transcends the logic of the verse ( this is not only stated but shown with the airplane example the plane had already been creaking and breaking even before the individual was targeted meaning it transcends the linear interpretation of time) ; i.e Calamity is fate willing you to die. Soft and Wet Go Beyond however is literally transcendent of the laws of the universe, it transcends fate and logic which WoU manipulates hence why Gappy was able to destroy WoU with it.

I mean, calamity scales to whatever would stop the user. Smaller things such as tripping or bumping into things can be used to stop less impactful pursuit against more human durability. However, if someone as strong as gojo were to pursue, calamity would be much stronger and geared towards stopping him. For example, maybe a gas line would break and cover the area in fire and dangerous fumes, forcing gojo to either dispel the fire or back away. At the closest possibility, wonder of u could technically have an object coincidentally do an infinite rotation (it's improbable to an insane level, but not impossible). And the infinite rotation would bypass infinity and kill gojo. Either way, gojo will never reach wonder of u.
Infinity stops anything harmful from making contact with Gojo, that'd include poisons. (Though I do agree Gojo still loses)

For example, gojo wouldn’t have been perception blitzed by seeing Suguru since he perceives time slower, meaning he actually paused and waited to be trapped in the prison realm for around 5 minutes his perception. I don’t think he would be stunlocked 5 WHOLE MINUTES in place when he can teleport and move faster than anyone else in the series besides Sukuna. This cannot happen without plot armor or inconsistency.

And if you think not, calamity has already been shown to manipulate the infinite rotation in chapter 22, when Johnny was trying to save his son. Which I'd argue is a lot more impressive than manipulating Gojo's limitless, as Johnny's infinite rotation can pry open Love Train's barrier which is basically connected to all of space and time (as it is shown redirecting misfortune onto people in the future and whatnot).
Also, calamity might not be instant, but I believe that doesn't matter. Manipulating calamity, is essentially like manipulating fate, you're fated to die, as you get closer to Wonder of U, the effects of Calamity gets stronger. If you somehow get right in his face, you'll still be hit by something unexpected.

As both a JoJo fan and JJK fan I agree that the victory would go to Wonder of U. There are several reasons one of which is that fact that as soon as Gojo realized that Wonder of U was dangerous the stands ability would activate meaning even if Gojo attempted to use infinity to negate any incoming physical attacks he would more than likely have a heart attack or a sudden brain aneurysm.

Calamity is a law of nature in the JoJoverse (WoU is literally the personifaction of that concept; it is quite literally the concept giving form) ; it basically changes the flow of logic and fate (an in Universal constant in the JoJoverse meaning that there is one predestined path; there are only a couple of characters that manipulate and change fate with special hax in JoJo) to target whoever WoU has targeted (it can only target one person at a time). So in practice WoU could possibly even bend logic itself to bypass the "infinity" of Gojo regardless of what he does; it is a mega hax ability.

If you can measure the distance it traveled when he moved his head and then divide that by the speed of sound, you would get the proper timeframe which you can use to divide the distance Kenny traveled.
You can't be faster than something if you move a lesser distance in the same timeframe so Kenny would probably be slower if you calced it like that though in reality he would be more like relative to it and just didn't travel as far as he could have.

Not even his brain alone is enough. And sure, if toji separated gojos head from his body at that moment, it would have kill him, but in present day is impossible to have a clean cut on gojo cause it has a start, and aslong as the wound has a start, he is just gonna regen while the strike passes through, like he did with sukunas domain, or like hakari did with kashimos lightning.

Had an argument with my friends just the other night about something like this, DIO vs Gojo. I think both versions of DIO would mop the floor with Gojo however, my friends believe Gojo would win. I think due to DIO's speed, attack power and raw durability plus his vampire abilities. DIO would win. Time stop, in my interpretation of the characters' abilities, would triumph over Gojo's Infinity abilities. Using PT 6 Jotaro to scale, DIO would be just as strong if not stronger, during his fight with Pucci. Jotaro was the only one that could possibly harm MIH (& C Moon) Pucci. This is like a World level threat, not to say that's Jojo's level but he was the only guy that could hit him during his Time Stop, which is my point. Time Stop is CRAZY strong no matter if the person in it is stronger or not, only someone that can manipulate time can counter it. So Gojo would be, in layman's terms, fucked. DE is probably his best bet, but could DIO stop time within it? Stands are spiritual manifestations and is the source of DIO's ascended power, it could possibly use Time Stop to counter it even if DIO succumbs to it. Assuming, Gojo gets it off, it's fastest pop off rate being at 0.2 Secs. DIO has every opportunity to win this hypothetical fight yet, my friends think I'm wanking. I'd love to get some actually clarification on this so that I may feel confident in my argument or consider a new possibility entirely.

1. tusk act four since It’s 5-d and it can attack in zero time. As well as, the ability to bypass barriers that stop it from directly attacking an opponent (not to mention that since it has infinite speed it could potentially just brute force its way through the infinite distance between it and gojo). And once touched gojo will be inflicted with infinite rotation and die.
2. Heavens door original activation where just looking at one of Rohan’s manga panels causes his stand to hit you. Then he could just write something like “turn off all your abilities and stand still” then stab gojo in the head or “forget how to breathe.”

Kenjaku reacted to that black hole after yuki activated it so kenjaku is faster then light. Also sukuna did react to purple which also puts him at faster then light alway and gojo seems to outspeed them both in mobility.
Not really. Blackholes as not fast and light only gets trapped beyond the event horizon. We also did not get how fast the activation was. And reaction speed is not equal to moving (his entire body) faster than light. Reaction speed is a factor of the brain's neuron's electrical firing which is closer to speed of light and with the small brain area can really allow for quick decision making. And for Sukuna, he was 4km away and upon taking the hit was a bit late in realizing he cannot just take it without damage. But yeah, they are both very fast characters and will speed blitz Jojo characters no problem.

With wonder of u being abstract in nature, he moves around in ways that shouldn't be possible and occasionally he works on Slasher movement. Think of Jason Vorhees or Michael Myers, as soon as he loses LOS, wonder of u is likely gone already and in a different area. That also means a domain may block his sight, and he's already gone
If you take the Wonder of U part 2 chapter cover at face value rather than representation, multiple instances of Akefu may appear at once, completely indistinguishable from each other

The thing is, from what I understand wonder of u doesn’t just kill you outright, even in the worst instances of it. So theoretically, anyone with enough defense and offensive capabilities like gojo can probably overcome wonder of u before calamity begins to catch up with them. And by defense, I essentially mean haxs like infinity that stop damage from even occurring, since Im pretty sure the calamity that results from wonder of u sort of bypass normal defenses.

Hollow Purple is an imaginary technique that does not exist because it merges two concepts of infinity and this is impossible without the 6-eyes.
