great video and realy good spotting. and who said a 4runner couldn't go where a jeep goes, makes me feel so good about my 2016 trail 4runner with KDSS, wouldn't put my 4runner through that kind of terrain, but at least i know she can handle it. i do more of the overlanding with mine. keep up the great work.
Got to admit I'm pretty impressed with the 4R I own one l, and I would not have thought that it was up to the Rubicon Trail. I'll say though, that the Jeeps do seem a lot more comfortable on this type of terrain, watching 4runners in these type of situations, they always just look a little bit out of their element. Also, kudos to the driver for going for it.
How do you think a new bronco on 37s with front and rear lockers would do? I’m concerned about IFS on trails like these. The bronco gets a little tipsy especially compared to my Jeep.
With a proper clearance it’s doable even for IFS owners. But I would say min 6in suspension lift on 37 or 35 for IFS setup; otherwise, be prepared for hella trail damages especially the weak cv axles, and carry an extra set on the trail.
Man! Thank you For taking us to the Rubicon trail Bryan! Thanks for all of your guidance and help
how was it in the 4runner? Any body damage?

Great spotting. 👍
Mad props to the 4Runner.
Great vid!!! I have taken my 19 TRD Offroad to Moab and Colorado. So want to do Rubi, mine is not as built as yours though.
Looks like it was a great day on the Rubicon, totally bummed we missed out!
Next time
great spotting bro
Dope video! Can’t wait for this baby to pop out so I can go up there with you and the boys! 🤙🏽
Great video showing a 5th gen 4runner on the Rubicon.
That 4Runner is heavily modded. I wanted to see how a stock 5th gen would do.
@@MichaelMiller-rg6or Doubt you can do this trail with a completely stock 4runner without skid plates, lift, etc
@@traderak6017 you are probably right

If you won’t do, your truck very likely cannot handle it! It might be driver related, but still the same, truck is only as good as the spotter/driver
Good stuff.
Nice video, great 4Runner. Are those 35’s?
Was he using A-Trac at all?
Needs driver mod. Lol. Keeps gassing, then braking. Then gassing… simply inconsistent. 😂

I think it will do fine. I took my buddy this past weekend in his Chevy avalanche through rubicon on 35, and 6” lift. 🤣 it did awesome.
What kind of walkies do you use?
GMRS - cheap Chinese radios from Amazon.
Did you all go through the entire trail?
No, a short loop. We are running the full trail on the 24th
@@4x2WagonFamily please post the video :) We are planning on running the entire trail the first weekend of Nov

Our trip might cancel due to mosquito fire. It’s currently closed:(
4 runner seems not meant for this tough trail. It’s jeep’s territory ….
