He plays Tons! Of blues. And his Fav style to play. When he was very young he just played fast scales. For years now, blues guy the most. Blues is very wide style now days. But he can and does play traditional blues and Tons of covers. Very much a blues guy.
Awesome interview! Paul Gilbert is the reason why I started playing guitar 35 years ago. And he's the reason why I'm still playing guitar 35 years later and on! Love ya, Paul. You're the BEST! 😃🎸
I just saw John Petrucci pedalboard and effects, and he had so much shit of course he sounds amazing, but I'm surprised how PG with way less money can sounds so amazing.
I love Paul's playing and his tone, but I've watched 3 videos the last half hour spanning about 5 years, and he's had 3 different pedalboards and the only one pedal on all of them was the mojo mojo. It's like he's trying to compete with George Lynch, lol
What a cool dude.. nothing against Zack Wilde but I actually can understand and learn from Paul... when ZW shows u something it’s like here look at this “wails out” and ur line wtf did he just do ???
How can you not love paul
Such a gentleman!!
6:06 "Come closer. This is important".. LOL.. Gotta love Paul! Thanks for sharing!
haha ...exactly lol , my pleasure ,thanks !
Paul is so cool so humble not flashy in his gear at all - plywood pedal board in today's world of gear craziness - what a talent though
Agree !
Paul Gilbert is so cool 😎 & funny. What a great guy, I’m a blues guy, definitely not a shredder. But I so love his playing he’s very inspiring.
I Agree

Simple but crazy thing
you forgot the most expensive element; Hands
because he's body building 😁
Great video. Paul is the best and cool guitarist. He rocks!
I do it like Paul Gilbert did. Tube Screamer Stacking Mojo Mojo sounds great.
Моя любимец, обичам го това момче, кърти плочки, точно извличането му е, нямам думи!
Gotta love the fact that a lot of guitar players base their board and effects on the EVH tone 4 certain passages etc… RIP EDDIE💯✊🏾🤘🏾
Great🎉 Paul
Thanks for the video!
My pleasure bro :) Enjoy !
Siempre que lo veo digo “ no hace falta pedales carísimos para hacer maravillas “, todo está en la mano .
de acuerdo
Con un plexi una ibanez un mojo mojo y un tubescreamer y a correr
5:04 a little bit of "Into the Void" :0
Wow
this footage is several years old before the JHS pedal came out?
I thought he said he was never gonna let that particular guitar leave the house...
The drill off Eddie Van Halen
"Just the drilll " ...Paul uses it more extreme to pick the strings
paul did it before poundcake
Can’t he rotate the picks 90 degrees on the drill for more attack?
Don't know about you but i sow a new pgm model right there ...
Ah what Octive pedal was that ? An what flanger pedal was that anybody know?
@Jimmey Mogee The Octve Pedal I think Its an OCTRON from Foxrox Electronics and The Flanger is electro harmonix Deluxe Electric Mistress
@@beyyank2331
Thanks
@@jimmeymcgee2840 Your Welcome !
I wonder why the Mojo Mojo has re-appeared. What happened to the new JHS PG-14 pedal?
This is an older rundown.
not yet, he hasn't used JHS, its 2016

What is clipped to his headstock?
Tuner
Looks like a TC Electronic polytune clip-on tuner
No JHS pedal?
wat year is this??
I think its 2016
He doesn't use his own PG signature pedal from JHS :(
not yet, he hasn't used JHS, its 2016
This video is pretty old, wasnt filmed in 2021 or whenever it came out
5:54 what did paul say? Lol
Didnt know he uses electric mistress. What happend to airplane flanger
What year was this?
I think its 2016 , thanks !
@@beyyank2331 Good for context as his JHS signature pedal is not on the board...yet.
@@danielbassett7577 I was looking for his Majik Box pedal but I guess this was before he had that.
What? Is the mojomojo boosting the ts9? Maybe a modded ts9?
More like both are driving the tubes on the Marshalls, probably
The TS 9 could be in the loop on the marshall and give it some crunch
@@Gugo-qc1xi yeah It makes sense
No JHS PG-14 on the board?
exactly what I was wondering
Not Yet
I was thinking the exact same thing. You have a custom pedal that you don’t use? Paul is still the man.
@@vinshade not yet, he hasn't used JHS, its 2016
@@beyyank2331 ooh ok :)
It is funny, Paul got a JHS Singnature Pedal he is not using. He uses the much cheaper Mojomojo instead.
Does anyone here know why?
I think that videos is a few years old. It shows the guitars I saw him play live with in 2016. The JHS pedal came out maybe 2 years ago

where's his sig JHS pedal?
