Actually this is the difference between Marrakech and other Moroccan cities in Marrakech they see you like a walking dollar(because the economy of the city rely on tourism only), in Casablanca and other cities they see you as a tourist he wants to enjoy the vibe, live the moment and discover the culture of the country and live around the locals like in this video.

in 3:52 he told you where every kind of dates comes from: Algerian, Tunisian, Saudi Arabian, Libyan
Moroccan also is one of the best and most expensive dates. As for Algerian dates, they are very cheap and contain carcinogenic substances due to the nuclear tests carried out by France in Algeria during the French colonial period.

@@adelwendy120 This exists only in your imagination. Morocco has huge oases that produce the best dates in the world. There is a huge oasis project to produce millions of tons of dates in the southeast of Morocco, and you can search on RUclips to confirm.

Marrakech is a touristic city, one of the most popular ones in the world. It is normal to see tourists being overcharged at times like other touristic countries in the world. Morocco and Moroccans are awesome people.
