Mob activity as we think of it is an outdated business model. There is a fantastic scene from The Sopranos where they are trying to get protection money from a Starbucks, and the manager very politely says he can’t help them and they have to take those issues up with head office.
Pretty simple: their rules and codes simply gimp them in the modern world in which “new guys” in no way need to follow them. They’re being outcompeted in part due to being marginally less brutal.
I heard the a major problem is loyalty. Made guys keeping their mouths shut in prison and when they get out, their “families” throw them bones and get greedy protecting their little pieces if the action. Tulsa King us a good example.
Nice video. Maybe the world got so dirty what they're doing, like gambling and tax evasion, doesn't feel like crimes anymore. They faded into normalcy.
So I've started watching "The Sopranos" recently...
The Wire is very good too

💯💯 too many people up in their mouth. That’s the biggest problem. They all wanna be somebody instead of just being a part of.

Geologically wrong, culturally pretty much correct.
@Still no.
That’s like saying the USA and Nigeria are similar because they were once British.
