For anyone with a 2jz motor having tps/pps/throtltle codes, I posted a deep dive etcs-i video. You can also try turning car on but not started, and holding down the gas pedal all the way for 33 seconds to reset/relearn throttle system.
My 98 gs300 got a code for p1121 and went into limp mode so I replaced the apps along with the tps and it went back into limp mode about 2 minutes later. Got new code p1128 (throttle control motor lock fault). Should i just replace the throttle body motor since it gave me that code? Im just curious at this point whats the issue -code p1121 is gone only have p1128 now
yo dude im having the same problem rn i replaced the tps sensor throttle accelerator position sensor and the throttle control motor. none of them fixed my problem lmk what u did to fix yours pls
Aren’t those ribitted on the throttle body? Mine on 06 rx330 they are ribitted.. i was thinking unribit them off and open them up. Then just use a bolt and nuts to bolt them back on.. but having second thoughts. My rx330 when idling, it will heaitate then be back to normal idling then if you step on the accelerator pedal. There is no responde. Got a code for throttle spring stuck open. Do you think it is the throttle sensor?
So my lexus got slower over time and at idle it seems like the throttle is stuck open a bit when I press the gas nothing happens at all could it be just the motor that went out? I've been told there's 3 parts on the throttle body itself that it could be I'm wondering if I have to replace the whole throttle body
Rafael Alonzo well, since the sensor is ribbited on the throttle.. it can’t just be replace. You have to teplace the whole throttle body.. which in my case is the same. Mine is parked in the garage as well.. saving a little for a throttle body..
