He did...it was so weird when his looks fell apart so suddenly when he hit 50...rock stars who overindulge usually manage to either age and decay early on, or somehow manage to look good forever. Somehow Dave Mustaine managed to go through the entire second phase well into middle age. Can't think of another rock star that can be described like that.
Both versions are perfect the way they are. I like that Dave was going for what he was feeling at the time: being a young metalhead, feeling invincible, aggressive and just trying to get laid. Say what you want, but it's honest, and it isn't any different than some of what Metallica were writing about on KEA anyway. Seek is very similar in that sense. If you can't relate, then you were probably never a metalhead during your late teens, early 20s.

And there's even a good explanation for why Risk was a deliberate, one-off departure from Megadeth's typical sound... Big Metallica and Megadeth fan here. In my opinion Risk is a bad album, it almost isn't a rock album, and while people hate St. Anger, it was still a heavy album. Load and Reload are great hard rock experimental albums in my opinion

I'm generally more of a Metallica fan than a Megadeth fan, but I agree that "their way" is too slow. This song was made to be played at a fast tempo. I think the best rendition of the song was actually the version from No Life 'Till Leather, when Dave was still in Metallica.

Ok, some of you don't know what hell you're talking about. Before Metallica was signed there were 2 versions written. Mechanix was featured on No life 'til leather. They were both originally this fast until Metallica softened it up at the record labels request (which would be an esculating habit for them). When Dave was recording Killing Is My Business he was debating which version to use. Then he heard Metallica's Four Horsemen on Kill 'em All and it was decided. Read the album sleeve in Killing Is My Business Remastered.
For all those who don't know, Dave wrote the original song *mind blown* he had to do it a bit differently that way it wouldn't be exactly the same, but he wrote the fucking song so you can say Metallica is better but that was Dave's work

Big Metallica and Megadeth fan here. In my opinion Risk is a bad album, it almost isn't a rock album, and while people hate St. Anger, it was still a heavy album. Load and Reload are great hard rock experimental albums in my opinion

I think the best rendition of the song was actually the version from No Life 'Till Leather, when Dave was still in Metallica.

Ok, some of you don't know what hell you're talking about. Before Metallica was signed there were 2 versions written. Mechanix was featured on No life 'til leather. They were both originally this fast until Metallica softened it up at the record labels request (which would be an esculating habit for them). When Dave was recording Killing Is My Business he was debating which version to use. Then he heard Metallica's Four Horsemen on Kill 'em All and it was decided. Read the album sleeve in Killing Is My Business Remastered.
