People saying Zidane is better because he dictated big games have no idea Platini did the same in a much more competitive decade, not to mention France back then wasn't a complete team minus the romantic midfield diamond. The fact that he helped France to two WC semis and won Euro '84 destroying everyone is more than enough to prove that he's at least on Zidane's level
Early 80's was not much more competitive than the late 90's. If we talk about the entire 80's you could have a case with Diego Maradona dominating, but that was the time Platini already retired.
He was much better he was top scorer 3 times in serie a and was a better striker and passer of the ball
@@bifftannen66 Platini played for 7 years in the 80s up until 1987 then he retired. If you’re talking about a player from the 80s then it’s Maradona who is considered the player of that decade by fans. Same way Cruyff was for the 70s. Pele for the 60s.
...90s was more competitive. Just look at the squad of national sides in the 98 World Cup outside of the winners France and Runner up Brazil. Holland stacked with stars, Argentina, Spain, Italy, England, Denmark. Other nations had strong squads such as Germany, Norway, Colombia and Nigeria.
He was better than Zidane
Yo what’s the name of the song in the background
Sono juventino e ho visto giocare sia platini che zidane e dico che non c' è paragone, platini era molto più forte di zidane. Per me 1platini, 2baggio, 3zidane
Without Kopa no Platini without Platini no Zidane or Henry neithet no Mbappe . French team need one man like De Gaule. We need a saviour ! But when we have the one we see elegance and other. The French brings to the world the best.
3:36 france leading by 2 goals with less than 18 minutes to go, bottling it and losing on penalties hey, suck if it was to happen again...
first ever to win 3 straight Balon d'Or,
yet the most underrated player ever.....
That says enough about who Platini was
You have to put Pirlo, Totti and Ronaldo in the same player, so you make Platini
Definitely better than Maradona.
Who saw them, they know
Love your content😍
Thanks man!

The World Cup in Spain was in 1982 not 1984 my friend. I'm Italian, I remember that World Cup !
Edit: sorry another thing. Sounded like you said Juventus won its first Serie A title with Platinì...I must've heard wrong....right ?
Platini is really one of the best football players. Being a football executive really ruined him.
The World Cup was in Spain 1982, not 1984. In the second group stage (quarter finals) France played Northern Ireland and Austria, not Poland.
3:18 Word cup in spain was in 1982, not 84.
Les "Ballons d or " ça ne veut plus rien dire
Mais le meilleur footballeur que le Juventus de Turin est connu
Le meilleur footballeur pour un Euro de l histoire
Ça ce pèse
how do rate Kaka with small when he has won everything and a world cup truly underrated
Tre ruoli in uno, Regista, rifinitore, cannoniere... Platini = il gioco del calcio
Who’s the team in pink shirts at 2:30 ? Playing against France national team?
HSV
Platini was amazing and the best french player ever. Can you make a video of Harald Schumacher?
Zidane is the greatest french player ever.
Have you not heard of Zinedine Zidane?
@@dappadondadda100 Zidane is great as well . Platini was a better goal scorer and play maker ....
@@paulis4278 ... Zidane has been said to be a better player in the FIFA and UEFA polls. When it comes to European players only Cruyff is higher than Zidane. And even that is debatable. Yes, Platini scores more goals than Zidane but is not a better playmaker and Zidane dictated the tempo of a game better.
@@paulis4278 ... Zidane - 3 World Cup final goals. 1 World Cup winners medal. 2 appearances in the final of a WC. 1 Euros winners medal. 1 Champions League winners medal. 3 appearances in the final of CL. Arguably the scorer of the best goal ever in the CL and a CL final. 3 times FIFA World Player of the Year
You mean the 82 World Cup
So much mistakes in this footage... But a great player, so technical and clever.
Good video but one mistake it should have been 1982 world cup in spain and 1984 Euro in France
Best French Player ever.
He's 1000 times Better than Zidane, also he's a true French and not a migrant like Zidane
Make more please
What the hell man ?! Didn't even recognize your voice. This really is a 2 years old + video 😂
This isn't the usual narrator
He looks like a sith lord in the thumbnail with those yellow eyes
Can you make a video for Paul Scholes?
Hmm… I think he was disliked during is playing days actually. Kind of one of those guys you loved to hate. He was arrogant, but could totally back it up.
Do a video on dalglish
Who is better frank beckannbauer or Michael Platini
3:18 1982 World Cup, not 1984 mate.
Platini was a great great player... you had to watch him week in week out to appreciate him... if you took out messi currently, there is no better player.
its 2022 and the world cup is going great and haters gonna get mad
The World Cup in Spain was 1982 not 1984!
Rubbish narrative, no mention of scoring every game in the Euros and winning France their 1st ever major trophy
6:20 was the goalkeeper paid to let the ball in?
Faz um do Peyroteo ;)
KKK e PEYROTEO e goat 🐐
maybe another defender /fullback like italian who led defeat of france
You should make a video on franz backenbauer. He and cruyff were best in 70s.
For sure happening, just a matter of time
Because this generation only know him as a corrupt ex leader of UEFA, we Juventini know him as Le Roi. The greatest, the KING!.
Nope : he was framed and after years of trials, justice (even european court and switzerland which accused him at the beginning) admitted he was innocent and was only paid for his work, which is evident when you know he even declared it to administration and paid taxes on it : who the hell does this with dirty money ? The only problem is that he had no written contract for it and he thought you can count on what a man (Blatter) says : it's a naive point of vue when you work with swiss finance lawyers as Blatter, Infantino and the others.
Why there I always drama about successful people, like they always have to fail before becoming excellent 0:19
1984 world cup??
I think he mean 1982
@@karindra3849 No shit :-)
He was Frenchman, just like Ballon D'or and, ehem... France Football. Ring any bells?
Voters were internationals from all european countries in this times. And they sill do...
👑
1984 world cup??? you messed up this one pretty badly
For who didn't know....
He's been recognized innocent.
Obviously
Fifa is an association of power diggers, and Platini disturbed someone.
They framed him, otherwise he would become the 1st player president of FIFA
World cup in spain is on 82 not 84
How is Wayne Rooney so low on the list?
AS OF TODAY HE HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN CLEARED OF CURRUPTION. HIS LEGACY IS STILL INTACT.
i was named after him
Answer is simple: Ballon d'Or was ineligible to non-European players until 1995!
1982 World Cup not '82!
