I’m hoping to go travelling around South East Asia once I’m done with school so this video was very helpful. Can you make a video about all the camera gear your brought and whether it’s safe to bring all of it. Is it safe to leave expensive gear in hostels. I’m a photographer so I’d bring my gear to and I don’t want it to get stolen
Yeah sure I can do that camera gear video I’ve got a lot of it! Haha! In general it safe 95% of hostels all have lockers so you can lock your stuff I personally never had anything stolen and felt very safe but should always be very cautious with your stuff especially if it’s expensive
Hi there just watching you mr cool vid! Thank you for making this educational tyoe of vids!🥰just a tip with light packing you can bring a Merino wool tshirt have a look what they do!!🫡🇬🇧
Thanks for the video! Really helpful. I noticed you said you travelled with cameras and a laptop. I’m wanting to do a few months travelling in Thailand and then I want to stay in Bali for for a while and do some work. So I want to bring my laptop. When I’m in Bali I will be in a villa but when I’m travelling I’ll be in hostels. Would you say it’s safe to travel with a laptop? It’s very precious to me and I would be so upset if it was lost/ stolen. I would keep it in a locker in the hostels but I’m not sure if that’s always possible? Would love to hear anyone’s tips! Thank you
Keep it in my day bag, always lock them away in lockers at my hostel or in the room I’m staying at if I leave them. I’ve never had anything stolen not even a sock! 😊
Not really, it’s not a smart place you could get into anywhere with shorts and t shirt to be honest, but possibly could be useful in 1 or 2 scenarios I guess
Hey Joel! Just wondering if you carry a credit card with you when you travel and if it's possible to travel with just a debit or travel card? Thanks, this video helped so much!!
Very Useful man. Iam starting 6 Months South East Asia tomorrow and I watched lots of Videos from you. I wonder why you have such a low following compared to the quality. I imagine, that your channel is really about the practical side of things. For example LostLeblanc is more general today and more entertaining. Good Videos, keep it up.
Hey Joel! I really appreciated this helpful video! However, I still have a question. I've noticed that you fly a lot with your drone, which I also do myself. Did you bring it to SE Asia? If yes, how and where did you pack it? Are there any tips I should know? Best regards.
Hi Joel I’ve been watching loads of your videos preparing for next year when I go to south east Asia for 3/4 months, was just wondering what the best SIM cards are for each country (vietnam Cambodia Thailand Malaysia Indonesia) is there any SIM cards that work in all of these countries or will I need to swap for each one? Cheers in advance 😊 mate
Hey! Great and informative video, what are the name of the shoes? Or a link? Cant find it in the description and I tried reading from the video but couldnt quite catch the brand name :D
New to traveling. Hoping to go on east asia after I m done school. Do you think a tour package would be better to travel in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam?
@@Joelfriend I managed to secure Leeds tickets. Lets hope it’s actually going ahead and we’re not going back into lockdown before it starts. But you should definitely go to a festival... 😂
I’m always checking my passport! Keep it in a pocket inside your bag. Where you always know where it is and safe from any pickpocketers. But I have lost my passport but got it back luckily 😊
Thanks for this useful video, Joel! Can't wait to pack my bag for the upcoming trip to Malaysia in South East Asia!

Hi! Where’s your universal travel adapter and portable charger from? Am on the hunt for them but not sure what to get that will be reliable and last
Thinking of going South East Asia! Were there ever times where you wanted to wear something smarter (nice shoes, shirt)?
Not really, it’s not a smart place you could get into anywhere with shorts and t shirt to be honest, but possibly could be useful in 1 or 2 scenarios I guess
What model tropicfeel are those?
What brand of shoes were those shoes that don't smell and dry quickly?
They are called tropicfeel shoes
what type of water filter?

Do you have a more extended Amazon list of items you prefer (clothes, accessories etc)

I saw a tik tok saying the airalo e-sim app has a cheap sim for every country so could be one to look at

@@Joelfriend Thanks! Do they still hold up? I saw some videoes on the nordicfeel shoes and they seem to get broken after 6 months.

I’m the US, we call them tank tops. No idea why 😂
Do you think I could do a trip like this through south east Asia while taking full time school online?
Wait how do you travel with sunscreen and those lotions if you only try to use carry on?
I don’t I always have a luggage in check in
You going to any festivals this year Joel? 🤷♂️
I have no idea, ahaha I would like to but haven’t really thought too much about it to be honest

How many Liters is the waterproof bag?
Thank you
Thanks for watching 😌
Can't find the backpack. Maybe someone can help? The link doesn't take me to it.
how do you avoid losing your passport
