I am a relatively experienced owner handler and have finished several champions in different breeds. However, I find your videos to be extremely beneficial and informative! Your willingness to share the professional handler's "secrets" are much appreciated. You do a superb job and both explaining and demonstrating the various levels of finesse in the ring.
This helped a lot. I have my first Doberman and he is my first show prospect. We are green as grass. I have a handler and she is doing a great job teaching me, as she knows I want to owner handle my next Doberman, but I have had this issue. Where Blitz is stacked correctly, but he just doesn't look quite as.... impressive? as other Dobes I see, even though his angultion, topline, head, and tail set are all really excellent for our breed. THIS is it. This is the difference. It's not just the feet and tail and ears. It's the weight balance and the neck skin etc. Obviously anyone that knows Dobermans, knows that they are a very competitive breed, and we show them VERY "showy." Thank you for this. Exited to start stacking again and making a note of this.
Going to our first “big girl” show this weekend! Thank you so much for the pointers, this is what they don’t teach in our handling class. This our second show ever, first was at 4 months and it was a train wreck 😂.
Thank you for this presentation. I have 3 cocker spaniels that I present. I really appreciate your demonstration. Very professional for a good grip. It is true that the tension with the tail is important, I did not do it like that. Thank you, I will improve my technique.

I just found your videos and am loving them! I JUST got into the show ring for the first time one year ago with my norwegian elkhound, however, I also live in a very rural area, so he hasn't gotten the best socializing growing up (too many lawless dogs running around). He's learned to be absolutely wonderful with the judges, but he still gets way too interested in all the other dogs, regardless if I have bait or not. I try to get him in the ring more for the experience, but I live at least 6 hours away from anywhere. Any tips? Hahah!
Wonderful video! Lots of tricks I am definitely going to be trying out in the ring next month! Could you please provide a video showing how you keep your dog's head up when moving around the ring? Especially for a young dog that wants to sniff everything? :)
I am a new Smooth fox terrier exhibitor and was wondering if you would be able to show a video of how to SHOW stack a smooth fox terrier. I’m not sure about breed specific tricks to show the dog off and hope you can help me to learn!
You can always ask about any breed and any topic in our seminars! Let us know what topic you'd like to learn about Bichons, and check out our webinars for more info on the Q&A. If you are interesting in trimming your Bichon check out this course with our sister school Leading Edge Grooming Academy (for pet parents & salon groomers): leadingedgegroomingacademy.com/p/bichon-frise-trimming
In our "Understanding the Stack" and "Achieving the Perfect Stack" courses we demonstrate two methods; by gently pulling the excess skin at the tuck-up or by pushing back on the prosternum.
Lots of training of course - but remember YOU are the boss (not your dog!) and you need to have absolute control of the head. Check out our free course for more info and demonstrations on this: www.leadingedgedogshowacademy.com/p/how-to-stack.

Omg thank you so much… I have been struggling with what to do with the dang lead around the neck. I was on the right track, but this helped immensely!
This was an amazing video! Thank you so much! 💗🤩

How does it differ with the ground on the ground?
Hi! I am wondering if on your seminars, do you ever go over Bichon Frise? That is the breed I am in.
You can always ask about any breed and any topic in our seminars! Let us know what topic you'd like to learn about Bichons, and check out our webinars for more info on the Q&A.

What about a brachy breed that doesn't have a muzzle or a tail to grab? How do you create tension?
In our "Understanding the Stack" and "Achieving the Perfect Stack" courses we demonstrate two methods; by gently pulling the excess skin at the tuck-up or by pushing back on the prosternum.
How can you get them to pull forward if your breed has a tail that is dropped down?
This is so helpful. I have a english cocker too. How do you do to keep your dog so calm when your stack him ? Mine always move...
Lots of training of course - but remember YOU are the boss (not your dog!) and you need to have absolute control of the head. Check out our free course for more info and demonstrations on this: www.leadingedgedogshowacademy.com/p/how-to-stack.
