Hillary, I need to thank you, I googled Goodwill Outlet today, was going to visit my daughter, they had an outlet in her town, and she didn’t know about it. We had such a good time!!
Our Goodwill store used to have bag sales about twenty five years ago. They would give you one of their large(trash bag size) bags which you could stuff full for $5.00. Since our family wears a lot of dress clothes,I filled my three bags with suits, sport coats, slacks, dress shirts, etc. At that price,I could afford to just approximate the sizes of my husband,father,brother-in-law and his two teenage sons.( I figured we could donate somewhere else whatever didn’t fit anyone). The best part was that my nephew found $750.00 in cash in one of the sport coat pockets. Since there was no way to return it to it’s owner,my brother-in-law gave me $100.00 and kept the rest as a “gift from God” as he was recently out of work.🙏. Every time I’ve shared that story, one of the guys says “ oh yeah,I stash cash in my sport coat pocket “ So check your donations first!😵😆
Hillary, Another idea for your muffin tins is to use them for holiday cookies. When you want your cookies to be perfectly round and uniform in size, use a muffin tin, either large or small! I enjoyed all of your videos!
I LOVE the t shirt you are wearing! I would love to shop a bins! I was born in New Jersey 75 years ago! Montclair! At 3 years of age, my family moved out of NJ. Now I live in Michigan! I love 💕 thrifting!! I get withdrawal symptoms if I don’t get to a thrift store every other week, at least! The Old Navy cardigan is lovely on you! And the brown pants! ❤️ I love your channel!
Your bins experience is not typical. Our Goodwill Bins makes an announcement over the speaker that they will be switching out one of the 'cells.' This is an area with 4 to 6 bins. Employees remove the old bins and bring out new bins with black cloth over them. The black cloth is removed and then you can shop that cell. There are about 20 or so different cells in the store and they rotate thru out the day. We only pay when our cart is full. You can't buy more than one cartload at a time. People store full carts at the edge of the store for hours while they fill up more carts. Our cost is $1.49 per pound! 25 cents for soft cover books and 50 cents for hard cover books. I love to go!!
My grandmother introduced me to the bins when I was a young child and I'm almost 50 now. I've been to several different ones. I've never had them reset the whole store, make us pay and wait. They usually do one row at a time every few minutes but you can continue to shop the other ones. Also the way they do their pricing is different at each , even in the same state.
I live very close to one and go about once a month. I get huge deals every time. I’ve gotten outdoor furniture as well as several wooden items, a hutch, table,a beautiful antique rocking chair, garden art. Bought a Christmas tree. Clothing, books. It’s really fun. I think your right many there are dealers. Glad you got to experience it.
We went once & it was worth it, but a lil drive as well, but we did find some good buys. We wore gloves since we heard there could be broken glass etc in the bins if the items are just tossed around. Nice score on all your items! You never know what you’ll find so that makes it fun. Take care 🌻🍂🍁☀️😀
I had to smile when I heard you say that you were looking for through the items for what you liked and would fit while everyone around was just grabbing everything because that was exactly my experience. The store I went to wasn’t as clean and tidy as the one you went to so it was a bit overwhelming for me. But I did get a coffee table for $5 that I painted and stained so it was worth enduring the craziness 🤪
Been to the Bins treasure shopping ! It's a race to find that one thing. Lots of resellers and treasure hunters. You got to act fast. It's every one for themselves at the bins! Great experience. Will not go again.
That green cardigan works well on you. It's also trendy to wear cardigan that way now. It's a nice pop of color too! I always wear something bright even on colder months.
We don't have the bins here in Canada, Goodwill is few and far between!! Looks like fun, a very unique experience I am sure! Once the border opens, I would love to make a trip to check out the Bins 😉 You found some great items!! Thanks for sharing. Take care 💖
I’ve been watching people on you tube doing this and i love seeing the bargains they get Hilary, so going to grab a coffee and watch your vlog right now 😁 x
Hey Hilary, we have the same "the bins" setup here in Toronto, Canada! I haven't been for a few years but I remember the mad dash. I've only gone a few times, when we were looking for hoodies, jeans and coats for our church's winter, OOTC program. It was quite the experience, lol, but it did meet our needs at a very good price. Thanks for the memory! Xx
I have never been to "the bins". My sister goes all the time in Florida. I live on Long Island, so I should do some checking too. You got such great items for $15!
How fun! I love to thrift as well! I really loved that pink striped shirt. ❤ I usually wear t-shirts, but I've just started to get into button up shirts if they are soft and comfortable, not stiff...lol. NOW I want to go thrifting! 😀
Hi Hillary, I'm from England and with our Sunday lunch we have Yorkshire puddings, you may of heard of them. The muffin tins you've bought would be perfect for them. If you Google award winning Yorkshire puddings the recipe makes perfect ones every time. Xx
My husband wears his t-shirts until there are holes in them so I never have any to drop off in my donation box! Maybe that is why there weren't any men's t-shirts? 🤪 I have never heard of an outlet before. I am glad to hear that they don't just throw those unbought items in the trash! Thanks for sharing your experience! Smiles, Abby Smith
Wow! I have never even heard of "the bins." I bet a lot of people look for brand names on clothing and shoes, regardless of size, and re-sell on Marketplace. Love those Converse! That green and blue Old Navy knit top might not be your "style," but it looks fantastic on you! Such great finds! Thanks for sharing. ❤
What an awesome haul! I’ve always wondered how the Bins work and your explanation was so helpful! I might now have the courage to try them. Now to find the nearest location!!
Wonderful Haul!!! I use those muffin tins for mini pot pies. Yes we shop at 'the bins' but they don't have us move when they bring in more bins... they just constantly change them in and out. There 3 outlets within 15 miles of our home so we make our rounds. LOL
I love going to the bins! I was actually at ours this morning. Killed it for $17! You got some great stuff as well. I loved the slouchy sweater and the basket at the end. If you’d ever want to do a thrifting collab, let me know! Thank you for your encouraging comments on my videos. ♥️
It’s like we hit the motherload and found the calculator she needed as well ( they cost almost 100 and hers is on line for 120.00. She loves thrifting and I literally found this store several months ago. I found a nice dress in Petites in my size and I was so excited. It’s navy blue and I love navy. Perfect condition 🙋🏻♀️🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
How fun! I’ve always wanted to go to one of the bins, but I had no idea they made you leave and pay in between bin rotations! Just thinking you can make baby Jude a big 1st birthday cupcake!
I have shopped the bins. We have one that’s about an hour from us and another one that’s about 25 minutes further. My husband and I used to go regularly until covid hit. Ours rotate sections every 2 hours. I’ve had very poor luck on selling some of my special finds so I just stick with things I can use. One of our trips we bought a very nice love seat for $15. We bought it specifically for out Great Dane. He absolutely loved it. Lol. You just never know what you’re going to find. ❤️
I know the cardigan is t your usual look, but it’s very flattering! You looked great! I didn’t realize “outlet” meant the BINS! There is one right near me… might need to check that out!
I’ve been to the bins when I lived in Colorado! It’s definitely an experience! I had forgotten about it and now I need to search for outlets near me in Texas!
Loving the “granny” sweater! It looks amazing. Finding 100% cotton anything is a score! Thrifting to tryout trends is the best! Make someone else take the initial punch 🤜 with the “new” cost! I find I “rent” from the Goodwill- meaning I buy and then try then return to the donation center 😊🍁
I love thrifting, and my sister took me to the outlet in St Louis - never again!!! It's in a very scary part of town, surrounded by abandoned warehouses with busted-out windows, and very suspicious people loitering around. As we looked through the bins, people followed us, watching us very intently (not employees) and it just was overall very uncomfortable and creepy. I don't really have any desire to visit another one. Our nearest location is in Chattanooga, and I've heard it's also a bit rough, so I'll stick to my normal thrift stores, flea markets, and yard sales!
I went to that one in St. Louis. I wasn’t really concerned about anyone but most things weren’t in good shape. I’ve been to others that were in better condition though. I think it just depends on location
I don't blame you it sounds awful..here in the UK we don't have anything like that,I don't think,I've definitely never come across anything anyway..stick to your thift store it sounds safer!!
Oh gosh I never knew we had one here they call it as is. I spent 26.00 and literally had 4 bags for my daughter and all excellent items. So I washed them and she has an entire new wardrobe for college! Great finds mama it is an experience right?
I used to shop the bins often. They are only 20 minutes away. Fell out of practice for a while. We should try it again. We did find neat things sometimes.
Very interesting! I think the closest bins I've heard about are 2.5-3 hours away from me. I love the pink and white striped shirt on you. It was so pretty on you and the lounge pants and navy shirt look really cute too. Those clogs were a score for sure! They were really cute!
I LOVE thrifting!💗 It's like a treasure hunt. But, the thrift stores in my area are getting very expensive. It would be nice if we had a per pound outlet in my area. Thanks for sharing your haul with us!💗
The bins location you visited seemed very gentile and calm. All the ones I've seen in videos are a mad dash and people being very aggressive. I'd like to try one, but the closest is two hours away and open very limited hours. Great finds!
I have never been to a bin store. I am so hard to fit size wise between brands that shopping without trying on is a challenge. You definitely got some great deals and shopped with purpose!
I took a day trip to "the bins" since the only ones near me are a good 4 hours away. It was fabulous. I found a lot of cute stuff and it was so affordable
Love your haul, everything looks great on you…. I am actually going to goodwill today, my first free day to go… need just a few long sleeve shirts. I went to the stores the other day, and I was in sticker shock, I have been thrifting for a year , and I guess used to thrifting prices…. But all summer I have been thrifting fall clothes, I had so many wonderful items to choose from, my greatest finds were brown leather booties, and cognac color high boots (Clark’s ) a suede fall jacket from Chico’s , and everything was brand new. When I went everyone was looking at summer clothing, now I know shop the season it isn’t for the coming season
I've shopped the bins in Houston. It was a madhouse but I got some treasures for cents on the dollar. I don't live close to the bins so I have to make a special outing to go. I stopped going during the height of the pandemic but really want to go again.
Great video! I love that you found a couple of items to sell to cover your purchases and maybe your gas too! I’m all for bargain hunting but I can’t stand the “Grabby, Pushy and Obnoxious” personalities that you sometimes have to deal with at Thrift Stores. I’ve been one time to a GW Bin store in S. Carolina and it wasn’t bad at all. But my local Honey Hole thrift store has now been invaded by a couple who act as I described above. They make it miserable for anyone else who dares to be in their way while shopping. They also (as you described some of the shoppers doing) fill up multiple shopping carts by grabbing all items off the shelves (which are pretty scarcely populated anyway) included bagged toys and plush, then go to a corner of the store to go through everything to lookup on ebay etc. I guess it’s there way of dealing with any competition. Lol! Sometimes they put the items they don’t want back on the shelf and other times they don’t. In their haste they often break fragile items but don’t seem to care as it’s all about them! I wonder why the store management puts up with them but I think language might be a barrier. So glad you didn’t run into too much trouble especially with little ones in tow.
I dont like them. Some people do this everyday. You can find you items. But, someone a whole family will cover a bin. They throw everything in their baskets and later sort their stuff. They push you around. These people are dealers that have others grabbing for them. They come everyday with their lunches. If you like pushing and grabbing its the place to go. You find good stuff. I really didn't like the pushing. But, some will give you things that they throw back into the bins.
Loved what you got Hilary, most of the ones on you tube i think are resellers, some of the vlogs I’ve watched it’s mayhem, the one you went seemed a bit calmer, I’m pleased you got some bargains i don’t think i could do it, you’ve really got to be focused lol loved the vlog Thankyou x
Never heard of this! Looks fun! We have nothing like this in Canada, that I know of... for resellers, it may makes sense, but for me to spend hours looking for a size 18 pair of pants...I think I may just wait until the Bay has a sale on, and spend $25! Lol! Kids Clothing/Lack of: may be that people hand down their kids clothing to friends and family, or with all the MarketPlace types of retail...many people are selling their items now, instead of donating to make some extra cash...
Glad to see that you were able to find some goodies! I've been to the bins once and kinda like you I had to drive a little over an hour. Unfortunately, I didn't really find anything. A lot of the items seemed to be damaged as well. But like you mentioned, I'll have to give it another try or two in order to really give it a fair assessment.
I’ve never shopped the bins. You found some nice things. That cookie tin with the winter scene could be used for winter decor on a shelf. I too live in New Jersey and enjoy watching your videos
I have only been once and found some nice things. Goodwill built a second outlet store just a mile or so from where I work but I have never been to that one. I need to go!
I love shopping at the goodwill outlet! You never know what you’ll find! Also please tell me you’re doing vlogtober this year! I look forward to it every year! Going on like… I don’t even know 6 years? Seven? My how time passes!
You have a great haul! I've been afraid to try the Goodwill Outlet near me. The reviews make it sound like a scary place. It isn't in a great neighborhood. LOL
Wow! Not unlike Filene's bargain basement, I would say! Your bravery and spirit of adventure certainly paid off, though. But I, like you, will be content to stick to my more sedate thrift stores!
We have one really close to us, about 10 minutes down the road. We always find good stuff. We always wear gloves though. It can get a little dusty and dirty. 😊👍
I went once a few years ago, but the one here was kind of eerie inside plus some of the people had a vibe that creeped me out! But it was probably just me!
I have that winter scene on a metal platter that I’ve had for 40 plus years. 💗
Hillary,
I need to thank you, I googled Goodwill Outlet today, was going to visit my daughter, they had an outlet in her town, and she didn’t know about it. We had such a good time!!
How fun!! Find anything good?
@@OldWorldHome yes!! A LaZboy for $3, among other good finds. Total of $28 spent.

You got some great things. I did not know anything about "the bins." Thank you.
I’ve been watching people on you tube doing this and i love seeing the bargains they get Hilary, so going to grab a coffee and watch your vlog right now 😁 x
Great finds! I have been to a Goodwill Outlet a few years ago. I found a set of Pampered Chef dishes that I still use today! :):):)
Awesome!
Never knew Goodwill did this. I love the basket. Also, Tractor Supply always has nice Tshirts for guys. Cars, trucks tractors etc. Vintage vibe. 🚘🚜
Hey Hilary, we have the same "the bins" setup here in Toronto, Canada!
I haven't been for a few years but I remember the mad dash. I've only gone a few times, when
we were looking for hoodies, jeans and coats for our church's winter, OOTC program.
It was quite the experience, lol, but it did meet our needs at a very good price.
Thanks for the memory! Xx
Love that sweater on you! You have the perfect skin tone for it!!!
I have never been to "the bins". My sister goes all the time in Florida. I live on Long Island, so I should do some checking too. You got such great items for $15!
Do we even have them in Long Island? I'm in Suffolk.
@@dianaragub-schwartz4416 Closest one is Long Island City.

How fun! I love to thrift as well! I really loved that pink striped shirt. ❤ I usually wear t-shirts, but I've just started to get into button up shirts if they are soft and comfortable, not stiff...lol. NOW I want to go thrifting! 😀
Same here, love tee shirts, but now I have been thrifting button down shirts to layer with the tees and tanks
Hi Hillary, I'm from England and with our Sunday lunch we have Yorkshire puddings, you may of heard of them. The muffin tins you've bought would be perfect for them. If you Google award winning Yorkshire puddings the recipe makes perfect ones every time. Xx
Those tins are the perfect size for Yorkshire puddings 😋
I use large muffin tins for "individual stuffing balls"...it makes each one perfectly oven baked with perfect serving sizes.
Yum!! I LOVE stuffing
It reminds me of the game show Supermarket Sweeps. You have to race to find stuff. 💕
I used to LOVE that show 😄

I believe the outlet is the last stop before the trash, but hopefully the majority gets purchased!
😍😍😍 Love waking up to OWH videos.
Hopefully there will be Vlogtober this year. I enjoy the intro song for it.
Hi Hilary- nice finds… thanks for sharing
Our bins are super junkie! It's makes for a wild couple hours! You got some fun stuff!
Hi! If the navy colors are the same, try the green cardigan over the blue striped shirt. It would be cute with jeans!
I love shopping the bins at Goodwill outlets! There are two just a short distance from my house. The key to finding good stuff is arriving early
The green cardigan looks really cute on you.
You look great! Love the new items. You have motivated me to look closer at my fabrics and to to try new looks.
I love Thrifting! I’ll admit I’ve only been to the bins once. And wow, it was a little overwhelming lol. You found some wonderful treasures!
I’ve never heard of the bins. Interesting. I love thriftiness too. I love your frugalness.

I have that “snow storm” tin lid! Just the lid. I thrifted that 2 christmases ago and I put it on a small easel on display comes Christmas 😊

I loved loved loved the bins in Fredericksburg Virginia. You usually have to be in a bin for kids clothes.
Hello Hilary! Glad you were able to get some good items 😊. I’ve never been to them, but those prices are amazing 😁. Enjoy your day today!!! 🧡
You did pretty good. Always wanted to try this. Don't know if I can shop quickly though.
I enjoy op shops (in australia) and wish we had large outlets like those ! I love that stripe nautical t shirt you're wearing xx
How fun! I’ve always wanted to go to one of the bins, but I had no idea they made you leave and pay in between bin rotations!

Love your haul, everything looks great on you…. I am actually going to goodwill today, my first free day to go… need just a few long sleeve shirts.
I went to the stores the other day, and I was in sticker shock, I have been thrifting for a year , and I guess used to thrifting prices…. But all summer I have been thrifting fall clothes, I had so many wonderful items to choose from, my greatest finds were brown leather booties, and cognac color high boots (Clark’s )
a suede fall jacket from Chico’s , and everything was brand new.
I never have but I love going thrift shopping.💖😊
I love GE Outlet! I have found so many great things.
I love shopping at the goodwill outlet! You never know what you’ll find!
Also please tell me you’re doing vlogtober this year! I look forward to it every year! Going on like… I don’t even know 6 years? Seven? My how time passes!
Good Morning Hillary! We have a goodwill by the pound (outlet) I can’t wait to check ours out!
Great finds I don't have one here where we live , our new home in Florida has one by us definitely going hit it up ! Ty
You have a great haul! I've been afraid to try the Goodwill Outlet near me. The reviews make it sound like a scary place. It isn't in a great neighborhood. LOL
We have Goodwill stores here in Texas, but no Goodwill Outlets, as far as I know. I’ve never heard of a Bin Sale. Looks like fun, though!
There's one in Connecticut that is like an hour-hour and a half away from me but I've never made the trek. Now I want to!
Wow! Not unlike Filene's bargain basement, I would say! Your bravery and spirit of adventure certainly paid off, though. But I, like you, will be content to stick to my more sedate thrift stores!
I love the bins for kids books!
We have one really close to us, about 10 minutes down the road. We always find good stuff. We always wear gloves though. It can get a little dusty and dirty. 😊👍
There is a bins location near me and I’ve been wanting to go so bad. I think you’ve just shown me I need to check it out.
Have you ever seen the mini loaf tins. We have one and use it all the time! Love the green and navy sweater on you! Very flattering!
I’ve always wanted to do this! How fun!
I went once a few years ago, but the one here was kind of eerie inside plus some of the people had a vibe that creeped me out! But it was probably just me!
Good experience to try and some nice finds. I say no on the green sweater, I like the style but a bit bright.
I love the bins.
Nice finds, Hilary! Seems like you did well for your first bins experience. We don't have anything like that here.
Oh and good job reselling the shoes! Made it a profitable experience.
