I am absolutely in love with Mr. Gordon Murray's taste and engineering principles. Every decision, from the meticulous design, lightweight construction, lack of screens to the use of a manual gearbox, truly resonates with me.
Thank you for making these videos. Most of us will be lucky to ever so much as see a GMA car in person let alone drive one, but these videos are the next best thing!
I met a Saudi guy (I think) at a friends wedding in Portafino, this guy heard my 'car guy' talk and asked me......."So Jekso (keoniggsegg) or Chiron?", that night, he told his father to order a Chiron (carbon blue over tan leather). The same guy has P1, etc, etc.......and to my knowledge, doesn't drive them, he collects them, like Hotwheels. So I do fear all the engineering excellence will indeed stay away from eyes and ears!
So unbelievably beautiful... I was floored when T.33 was revealed (still am) and now there's this variant to gaze at and dream of driving... I love it even more knowing that NO ONE wanted a flappy-paddle gearbox - manual only. Perfection.
I'll never own one of these. I'll never drive one of these. I may never see one in person. But I'm so glad it exists. It's just important that someone is still trying to perfect the driving experience. There's at least 10 different companies trying to build the fastest or most luxurious car, but there's only one Gordon Murray.
Achingly beautiful! You see, you don’t have to be brash nor flash to create beauty. The simplicity of the interior and functions is what we should all aspire to. After all, who needs a Sat Nav or TV screen, fancy lights and a cup holder in a car? More of this from Mr. Murray and his talented team please!
I remember an old 90s documentary about Gordon Murray designing and prototyping the McLaren F1. His focus and stoicism was mesmerizing. As I grew up I wore a mustache because of Gordon. 😅
Wow, this car speaks to me in a special way. I've never preferred the spyder version of a vehicle until now. And I feel bad because the T.33 is a work of art too!
Well that's absolutely stunning! I think the prettiest design so far from GMA with typical incredible engineering excellence. Well done to Gordon and his superb team (and Dario for presenting!). Surely an instant sell out.
These cars are literal rolling pieces of art that should be shown at the Louvre. The T.50, the T.33, and this, the T.33 Spider. I mean, the styling. The attention to detail. And that glorious Cosworth V12 (which itself, is also a work of art that should be considered priceless). Oh, and the fact that everything comes with an honest-to-God MANUAL TRANSMISSION?! Gordon Murray is an automotive artist. A pure ARTIST.
I've never really been into spiders. But this. This just makes everything tinkle. Tactile. Stiffness. Practicality. And just pure simple design that works all the way around! Might have gotten a new dream car. The ethos GMA goes for is something the auto industry has been neglecting more and more, so really thank you Gordon and Co for bringing back focus to the pure fun of cars instead of all the fuzz and stats. And on top of that. Big big kudos to the media production team for making lovely subtle material that follows (and emphasise), again, the ethos of GMA. Genuine joy for great simple automotives. Massive job all the way around! Can't wait to see GMA bring on the hybrids and all the future challenges of mixing sustainability with focus on driving pleasure!!
This spec is a beautiful masterpiece! I need this as a painting on my wall. Flowing lines, color just pops. A supercar to dream about and one day own. Thank you Gordon and team at GMA
Who ever will own any of his creations... just only knowing the heritage that is behind that mechanical jewel, it's just breathe taking.... Thank you Mr Murray. RESPECT.
Whoever runs this channel please let Gordon know that these works of art should be digitized so that everyone can enjoy them through a video game. Thanks!
I cannot breadth and I am drooling. Like prof. Murray, I am not into “spider” but his T.33 Spider is such a beauty. Thank you prof Murray for another milestone, I am glad I am here in earth watching your masterpiece. 🙏💕🇬🇧🏎
I love being able to follow along every step of the way! I downloaded all your press kits today just to have for myself. I hope Gordon’s automotive ethos lasts for many years to come!
Next year will mark Senna’s 30 anniversary. I will be going to Imola for the 1st of May gathering. Please Gordon, come to the event. You designed the legendary mp4/4 for Ayrton’s first championship. It will be nice to meet with a legend like yourself. 🙏🏼
As I have said previously. The term 'Legend' gets used far too often and often incorrectly. However, in the Design and Motoring world, Gordon Murray is a Legend.
Of all the sports/super/hyper cars that have been made in the last 5 years......the T33 is the most jaw dropping beautiful car in the present day. Gordon is the past master of of automotive beauty.
Great to see British engineering at its best. Also adds to more cars from U.K. companies recently. Got the new Lotus. New Ineos grenadier (built in France) and these GMA cars are awesome. Mclaren don’t seem to be making much new stuff lately or exciting.
Simplistic, clean, pure design, I think these are amongst the most beautiful and iconic designs. Through my eyes, at certain angles the design is reminiscent of a Ferrari 250 LM, and the rear shape has modern elements of the Alpine A110.
The GMA cars have such a classic, timelessly sleek design in an age of increasingly aggressive and ostentatious exteriors. They’re a breath of fresh air.
So many of the same reasons why I love my 93 Corvette ZR-1. Its overall size, driver focused cockpit, the curves over the wheels, the 6-speed manual, and the sound of a 4 cam 32 valve V8. So glad I own one seeing that I'll most likely never own a T50. Plus mine is all American :-)
Irresistibly beautiful and beguiling, the "force" truly is strong and pulls one untethered. I love Gordon Murray's engineering genius, at 58 it would be a life wish to meet and experience the man.
Note to prospective buyers. Please note Gordon will have paid attention to the detail and picked a proper colour not black or grey. Love the whole foundational torsional stiffness decision. Absolutely brilliant end of..
I actually prefer this Spider to the T.50. It's beautifully designed and engineered as you would expect from Gordon and his team at GMA. If I only I could afford one. There will be some lucky people out and I hope they drive it and not just keep it as an investment!
I am pretty pleased with the styling. The T50 doesn't quite work for me, though one never knows, it might be better in person. Having spent too many years designing things for companies with a soulless, compromise always wins mentality (my fault, should have moved on, sigh), I really envy Gordon's opportunity to do it his way to the smallest details. He's earned it.
It's alot easier not to compromise when each cars cost in the millions. When you are a large company and have to sell alot of cars at a more affordable price compromise is a must
@Allen Saunders Very true. But some compromises just choose expedience over doing things well. Especially when the company continues to proclaim to the workforce that they value excellence. BTW, I was not in the automotive industry. Take care.
@@dennisdose5697 you have a valid point. I wasn't in the automotive industry either I know people who were. One guy always said we can only build a bit of what we want. Compromises for various economic reasons. Some other reasons also
Wow. I'm so glad that you've done this, and T.50 What every petrol head was begging someone to do, a high revving, lightweight , manual hypercar. Of course it would be in Britain.(Although I thought maybe Germany might adapt a mass production car into one.)
So what does this car offer that the rivals don't? I would say a manual gearbox(only Porsche does that I believe), a naturally aspirated engine, 10.000+rpm, analog controls, less weight. But by far the biggest offering of this car is the way it looks. It IS lighter than the competition but it also LOOKS a lot lighter than the others. And this is the best thing about the T33.
I believe the new Spyder will go down as one of the most beautiful cars in the world. Those rear haunches are incredibly sexy. History should place it ahead of the E Type. In my humble opinion
SUPER❣ I can hardly believe the room for luggage of 290 litres ? 8 suitcases ? Salesman's car ? 🙂 And the little extra weight of 20kg -- really GOATish❗

As its been echoed many times in the comments, " Truly a work of art!". Let me not forget to mention Cosworth. You guys are engine GODS!
I prefer the T.33 💙 over the T.50. Minimal weight gain or power / rev limit deficits, but much cleaner looking without the rear fan and comes as a Spider. The rake of that windscreen = 😍. Edit : I despise working for a living, but would happily fill in for Dario.
i am a wheelchaire designer, (kueschalldesign) its all about weight into last details, emotions and to be wanted, your details, formgiving and general sportscar design philosophy is for me breatchtaking, only the engine it is woerth to place i the livingroom...i start to save the money, just need to get one.....congratulations !
