Just got the this an the New dior sport an they both are great frags ,I had samples of both wore them an received lots of compliments while at a party I attended, the reason I went back an bought both
Great videos, Peter. I really like your style. Do you happen to remember a fragrance called Atien from about 25 years ago and do you know of anything similar available today? I think Dior Homme 2020 might be close, if I'm remembering correctly. Any thoughts? Thank you!
Fragrance enthusiasts notwithstanding your average man doesn't want to smell lipsticky He just doesn't. I'm somewhere in the middle. I do love Iris but it has to be done correctly I think a great example of an Irish fragrance done correctly is narciso Rodriguez parfum, that stuff is amazing. Prada lhome is another one. This hobby is not unlike my other hobby of audio. The enthusiasts think you need to spend thousands of dollars and need to like her sound a certain way or you're just not in the "know", I think that's unfortunate because that attitude pushes people away from an absolutely wonderful hobby like enjoying music through the best audio gear you can find or enjoying fragrances that appeal to you. I'm 57 years old and it's getting harder to find a masculine fragrance that doesn't smell like it's been drugged through a candy store. Yes I have some of those and I think they're great but I do miss the old school masculine fragrances. Anyway always enjoy your channel JMHO have a good day my friend!
@@ScentTrailBegs to question, are your initial thoughts on a fragrance your own? Or are they someone else’s? An influencer tells you that a fragrance is trash, have you already made up your mind before even smelling it? Is it a case of inception?
Hello. Can you tell me about the renowned Dior Homme Original eau de toilette, has the composition of this eau de toilette changed or not? cocoa, patchouli etc. Thanks.
Yes ,the 2011Dior Homme Iris ,cocoa,Powdery and patchouli fragrance is still the same. Hard to find though in the US. It is still available in the stores in France under Dior Homme Original. Dior desided to change the the fragrance in 2020.The 2020 Dior Homme has a completely different note breakdown,no longer has the note of Iris and smells very different. Hope this helps 👍
@@ScentTrail Ah you're in the United States I thought in England. I'm not talking about the latest Dior eau de toilette without the iris. This one does not interest me. I'm talking about the eau de toilette called Dior Homme Original, which was called Dior Homme. Indeed I am in France and it is available at Sephora and elsewhere. This eau de toilette has not been reformulated? I see that it has Tuscan iris, cardamom and vetiver but I do not see cocoa or patchouli etc in the composition. I prefer it with cocoa than without, that's why.
@@ScentTrail Be careful, I don't know if the composition has changed. Besides, when I ask people sometimes tell me yes sometimes no. I do not understand why it is listed only iris, cardamom and vetiver as olfactory notes in this Dior Homme Original while this eau de toilette when it was called Dior Homme contained a lot of olfactory notes such as cocoa, patchouli for example. For me the composition has changed.
Agreed ,after viewing the video I can see, I didn't do the new Dior Homme justice. The Fragrance is actually really nice and bubbly fresh, but not in a blue Aquatic kind of way. Also ,it is much more versatile. Day or night vs. Dior Homme classic which is more of a dressed fragrance. Longevity is a good 7 to 8 hrs. With a decent 3 to 5 foot projection. Depending on the temperature. Hope this helps. Cheers Peter
I don't have anything that smells like it.But if you where to take Bleu De chanel and ad Iso E Super with the piney citrus scent from the note of Elemi You would be in the neighborhood.
Man this frag is such bs. They should have called it "Bleu De Dior" cause this ish is BDC rebottled... This mess is less citrusy than my ex-btl of BDC, but still heavy citrusy...to the point of not being able to smell much else. I'll spray some out in the toilet and give it 2 weeks sitting out on my office desk by the window...maybe it'll mature and burn off all the friggin citrus.
@@ScentTrail Oh no...you gotta be kidding me. I absolutely HATE overly citrus frags!! That's disappointing to hear...but thank you for giving me a heads up!! :)

Awesome video! Do you think this scent is good to be layered with Orange Sanguine?
The Atelier fragrance with blood orange?
Sounds interesting 🤔
I don't have it, therefore I can't try.
Let me know if you do though 🤙

I don't remember, who was the designer 🤔
They actually completely discontinued the original it's no where to find it
Only available in France
Have you tried on the Dior website. It's labeled as the original, I think 🤔
@@ScentTrail nope not there

Thanks for watching 👊
It’s funny how everyone hated on this when it first released…now everyone’s done a 180 and giving it praise.
Right? I guess everyone was disappointed Dior went a different direction with the signature Iris. 🤷♂️
Thanks for watching 🙌

I haven't bought a new original. I didn't know it is different as well. To bad.
Wonder why they changed the OG?
