    Don't need the pedal! The amp rocks all by itself. Just kick in the eq for a boost.

      Exactly, just a little mid hump and there's your solo volume.

      Using the pedal as a eq boost will give you more flexibility to use eq as another voicing. I use a global Parametric in my Mesa Nomad100 amp. It drastically improved the sound of that amp. I wish Mesa would use midi or a remote jack to kick on the drive on the clean of the Mark V25 to give you a virtual 3rd channel. I prefer 3 channels. More versatile usefulness live.

    Nice clean pedal. Gonna pick one of those up. And just to be clear, it doesn’t hurt anything to boost the volume 3-5 db before the power amp?

      joe satriani I don’t think you can go wrong with either amp. The mark V combo is, I think, going to be more versatile for you.
