I am not usually a youtube watcher, but... I started looking at your mini album series which led me to your Mother's home tour. I am a Georgia girl living in Colorado for many many years and your Mother reminds me of mine and her amazing creativity. Loved it, thank you!
Maymay your mother reminds me of my sister. She could make junk into a piece of gold, her home was like her's a page out of a book. But my sister was very crafting.
Can I just say you two are so cute together. I'm American but I live in Switzerland right now. You make me miss my mama like crazy. We LOVE Christmas, and decorating! I will be home for Christmas this year. Living in Switzerland we don't have a lot of these things and the things we can get are very expensive!!! We don't have a $1 store our is $3 lol! Thanks for sharing
Amy your Mom is cute as a button. I enjoyed this video. I am keeping her in my prayers. Loved the boys room and the girls room. What lucky kids. Thanks, Sue in DE .
Today, I just had to re watch this video of May May and her Mom sharing their wonderful creative life. Let me say how grounding it is to see an intact family life, we just can’t take it for granted!! It’s like coming over to visit with a vibrant sweet family. Thanks for sharing this with “the neighborhood of you tube friends “!!
Please do an update (2017) on you and your Mom's Christmas home tours. You and your family has great talent in decorating. Thank you and Merry Christmas.
Maymay, This is what I call Southern Hospitality! You, and your decorating style - Awesome!!! - I can tell that no matter how old, or tall your grands are, they love STAYING at GRANDMA'S HOUSE! My husband and I have 17 grands, ages 3 months to 9-1/2 years old. You make the Grandma Life Glamorous. In addition to my eMagazine, and RUclips Channel, I just started a new Channel called Nana's House with my 8 oldest grands. Last week we did our first weekend taping, so it hasn't been edited and uploaded yet. Thank you for sharing Maymay! The mail order catalog I used often, back in the early 90's with my kids, (I gave birth to thirteen), is LTD Commodities - could this be the one you were referring to? You and your daughter work so well together. God Bless both of you!
I can't believe I didn't watch this until now lol... I LOVE the tulle idea in the tree! I have a white tree for my living room that I love, and that is sooooo clever, and looks so beautiful!! I also love how I have a bunch of tulle that had no purpose, I just saved it. So glad haha... Love it!
I've enjoyed watching your video! I love your accent too! I've been doing Christmas House Tours since 2007, and I love to watch others show their homes lit up with beautiful Christmas décor...so festive! I have another YT channel, where some of my other home tours are featured. I began this channel I am writing you from last year, so my 2013 video is on this channel. Thanks for opening your home and sharing! Lovely!
I just stumbled upon this video while searching for decoration ideas, and you guys are just the cutest!! Can I be apart of the family? lol I am definitely subscribing and will be looking through the other videos. Thank you for taking us through the home and making me feel like we've been friends for years. And I loved that you told stories behind some of the items. Love love love this!! great job!
Christine La Clair Thanks! Maybe you can check out my other home tours. I have one from my home for Christmas and I just did my fall tour. Hope you like those too!
I actually just watched the xmas tour of your home, so beautiful and I love your style!! haven't seen the fall one so I'll go look for it right now! :)
Oh my goodness, you look like your beautiful mother! I can see where you get your talent from too. I loved, loved your mother's home all decorated up! I couldn't believe all that is decorated and love that she had rooms for the grandkids!! And holy cow, your mother looks so young! You guys are such a cool family and I am so enjoying this peek into your lives. Can't wait to see more!
I just love how each room not only has it's own theme...but it's own tree as well!! Lots of really fantastic ideas and tips! Can't wait for part 2! TFS!! XoXo
Yep, mom was really hesitant on the each room, each theme way to decorate but I worked hard to convince her. I just think each room in your home should be what you want it to be, not something that has to match another part of the home. Part 2 is coming soon!
I loved this! It reminds me of all our family getting together for Christmas. Mom had 3 sisters and I had only 3 cousins. So we could all fit in one room, husbands, wives and kids too! lol Amy, treasure your times together. I love the tulle idea! Another idea for chair cushions is cheap colored T-shirts. Who Knew! Thanks so much for this. I'll come back again! Big Squishy hugs! Jess
Oh WOW I am so so jealous of your mom's house it is soooo beautiful and decorated to perfection .... I have always wanted to spend Christmas in America as you guys do it so much better than us Brits !!! And I got some great tips from your mom too ... my mum died when I was only 22 so I have had to work stuff out for myself so its wonderful getting tips and ideas that have been passed down through the family...... oh and I could just listen to you talk all day long :) many thanks Tina xxxx
Tina, I'm sorry to hear that you lost your mum at such a young age. My mom died when I was 28, but I'll never forget all the family Christmas traditions she taught me and I've passed them on to my children as well. It's good to know you have people who can help you with things you never got a chance to learn from your mum. Happy Christmas, sweetie.
I came straight here from the fall home tour video. I was mesmerized. I start thinking about Christmas around July so you know I'm more than ready now in September! On to part two.
oh my gosh, I love Christmas in July that's when I was ant to start making Christmas stuff, for friends and family. But it's frustrating because no one sells Christmas stuff then. I hope you have a great Christmas! *!*
+PhenomenallyFlyDiva4 I started my Christmas shopping for my Traditional Vintage Decorating Haul in July - still not uploaded! I'm a planner. and pretty meticulous about things, so I just couldn't put up decorations before painting, but I needed my hubby's help, but had to wait for his schedule to permit. Just as I was about to begin taking out my decorations from the attic, my Hubby and I were blessed with the opportunity to go on our first ever vacation. October 3rd, the day before our Anniversary - eleven days. We finished painting for now, a week ago! With all I envisioned about my decor for this year, back in July; my other focus was that I didn't want to leave Christ out of Christmas by being bogged down with all the To Do's. I achieved this by just going with the flow of things, and focusing my attention more on those struggling, ill, homeless, in mourning, destitute and so on, and I'm even lending a hand. That is where my heart is as I am still, decorating, less than two weeks away from Christmas! Merry Christmas, I pray all is well with you and yours!
Still my favourite tour more than any other. merry Christmas xx
