This kit is great for anyone who, like me, likes to do a lot of experimenting and don't want to waste their more expensive liquid set. Every now and then I've even seen this kit on sale for as low as $7.99.
Lol this is the first time I’ve watched this video and this was the first set I bought a few weeks ago and it was still $10, but with a different color set. I have watched many dip powder tutorials and you’re the only one that had said to put clear over glitter. I’ve wondered how you buff glitter without losing some of it shine, now I know. Thank you :)
I get my dipping kits from Amazon and modelone is the brand. I'm glad you are using that brand and that I am doing it right considering I'm new at this.
I really like ModelOnes products. Thanks for the video. BTW, try wiping off any excess activator that might be on your nails with a lint-free wipe or paper towel before topcoat.
Modelones was my first dip kit. I love their powders and liquids. I have never used the 2-in-1 base/top, mine all came with 4 liquids (base, activator, top, brush saver.) I will say that I am not a fan of their white, I find it applies very patchy. I have I have about 200 dip colors, and about 75 of them are from modelones.
I like modelones liquids alot they are pretty hard to contaminate ...I use these ones to swatch...modelones do have a 4 bottle set on Amazon base activator top and brush saver that I use for my nails.
I've used these liquids before and I like them too. I thought they were a little in the thin side but I really like them for glitter. I don't like the shape of the bottles. Because they are so tall I tipped them over several times.
I started out with the same model ones and I really liked them. The two and one liquid is OK but I did like it a little bit better when they were separate which is what they used to be when I started. But I really don’t have any complaints other than it seems like it’s just a little bit thicker now than what it used to be.
The clearest clear I have ever found was in an amazon kit by MEFA. I treat it as my precious lol. The kits are pretty basic and a nice way to try dip. I personally am too picky for the liquids though. I have heard good things about some of Modelones liquids. That pink is a nice shade too
Is combo top base and top coat contamination a major concern if you wipe it down in-between each nail/coat and wiping down the bottle before closing? And do you find that you get less base and top coat since this is a combo bottle? I’ve never done dip but trying to learn as much as I can. Thanks! ❤

I have this set I now know how to use it the right way. Thank you

Love Modelones dip powders, but I really love their acrylic powders! Just as finely milled and work so great with the Modelones gel base and top coat.

What about the lasting of the nails. Do they stay that way or do they break the next day?
Great kit for newbies tyfs

Oh wow! 😱 I wonder why the price is different! That's awesome!
@@MelissasManis it was a different set that has a reddish tone in it.
I don't understand the price either. For me this kit was $14.

When I went directly to Amazon and searched Modelones I found the kit for $10. But thru Melissa's link it was $14. Interesting.
Great review as always!!
