Ok, Marla. I’ve been binging on your videos for 2 days now. You’ve built up my confidence to attempt my own dip nails. I can’t even polish my own nails, but I’m going to order a Revel starter kit and give this a whirl! Thanks for all the great content!
I love love love your videos! I too am a full time mom to a beautiful babygirl who will be 2 months old the 12th. I love doing my nails and really found a passion for doing them during my pregnancy. I started off with gel polish before I developed an allergy to it and could no longer wear it, ended up really damaging my nails and I suffered with onycholysis. Well about two weeks before my due date I ordered a dip powder kit and watched your tutorials.. I ended up using full cover tips just because of how damaged the free-edge of my nails were and then I put dip powder on top and they lasted!! I had my daughter on the 12th and all the nurses loved my nails and I told them I learned from a girl on RUclips!! I now don’t have the time to do my nails as often but have graduated to using tips with dip powder.. I’m still learning how to get it just right but your videos are always my go to for help! Thank you for making such good videos!!💓
I love your nails. I'm not a nail tech either just someone that decided to do my own nails in Feburary when my nail tech had hand surgery. Then the quarantine hit and I decided to continue doing my own nails from now on. Anyway, so many RUclipsrs like really long and/or over the top designs, which I think is really neat and pretty. But for me, I just like a square nail with an ever so slight rounding on the corners as not to be sharp. I love your modified square shape with a somewhat ballerina style to them. My favorite look is a french manicure with a sheer color and then add either unicorn powder or holo powder over it (I've also used different color glitter). It's all so sheer that you can still see the french manicure under all of it. I think you might like this type of french manicure look. Thanks for showing us your technique. I will have to try it and hope it looks as pretty and natural on me as it does you. Take care and be safe.
I'm very new and about to start this up. I've been debating on doing tips because my nails are just so short and weak right now. This video helps a ton!!
I usually go fully natural and shellac at most. Now my housework toddler and lifestyle basically have made my nails break and chip all the time. I tried dip twice now using kiara sky line and it made my nails weak and break regardless of how careful and gentle I was-I barely filed my natural nails only lightly with sanding block to remove shine. Anyhow I saw Leah Remini’s nails on Scientology and the aftermath on Netflix and even though I’m not a fan of talons or stiletto nails I fell in love! I’m going to do tips and dip soon and found your video very helpful thank you! I watched previous videos by you and loved them as well. I love square and oval in the past, I may do almond to try or square I’m not a fan of coffin/ballerina nails at all!
This video speaks to me. I love the simplicity. I love the way you made it look so darn easy and covered each step clearly. I like the up close filing with both the drill and hand files. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have watched so many of your videos I feel like a stalker. I’m not however a creeper, just a nail weirdo. Hahahaha🤪🤣❤️
Thanks for the post. I've been doing my own forever. Want to learn how to do it better & more properly. I remember testing to see if dip could take a gel cure top coat, I guess it's ok! Worked for me. Glad you post things about letting the activator dry well. I've had trouble w/ my brushes seizing up. Going to look if you have a post about doing the, "hard hand". Boy my right hand is tough!
Yes, a video for dip powder fills, please! Thanks for the dip with tips video! And yes, my thumbs are always my “problems” - from dipping to filing. I figure it is because of the surface area. Lol!
So happy I found your channel I went and bought a cheap dip kit to try cause you make things look so fun and beautiful can't wait till my kit get here to practice then go on to getting a good kit I am teaching myself how to do nails of all type so thank you for having great tutorial and your voice is very relaxing your rock
Thank you! I was going through the steps with you. It was nice to have a girl chat. For my first time putting on tips - I think it was pretty good. One of them kept popping off!? My husband was laughing at me. It was helpful to hear how much time it takes!
I see that you used the base gel to apply your tips, that leads me to my question for you, at any point did you cure the nails after putting the tips? Thanks
I love the tips, I struggle with getting ones that look good with my nails! I'm gonna try these ones and see if they work! Thanks for the video, love it!😍
I would love to see an in-depth review and swatches for the Kiara Sky line. I just ordered all kinds of stuff based on your videos, but only have Kiara Sky powders coming lol! I appreciate you💜
At first I thought you messed up on the first dip because you didn’t get any along the edges. When I saw you put the base on for the 2nd coat I realized what you were doing. Keeping the bulk down along your sidewalls. Now that I paused and wrote this, it hit me that you will probably explain it in the video…. If so, please excuse me for wasting anyones time reading this, but if not then at least people will know. 🤣😂😅🤣. I just found your channel two days ago and have been very impressed with your work for not having a license. I am 60 years young and just started doing my own nails about two months ago. Your videos are very informative so thanks for doing them.
This was SUPER helpful, thank you Ms. Marla. I have a good free edge, but I wanted a bit more length without having to wait 2-3 months, decided on tips.
This was super helpful. I'm just starting out and I learned a lot from you. Thank you! A few questions: 1) Is there a comparable manual way to accomplish perfecting near the cuticles and over the nail surface without an e-file? 2) Would you consider making a video with tips and color dip, rather than natural like this? I'm not sure what to do with clear versus color after the tips are on. 3) You mentioned at the end that an option is a gel topcoat, which wasn't shown here. Is there an advantage to gel other than the powder's usual topcoat when color is used? 4) is there a way when you voice over to either caption or show the productv you're using? I was trying to peek at the bottles. 5) Also, I wasn't sure about all the goals/details you were attending to with the toothpick near the cuticles because your voice over wasn't explaining that. I'm super curious. This is all new to me. Sorry if my questions seem very basic. Quarantine is bringing out my creative curiosity about nails, and I'm hoping to do my own even after lockdown is lifted, with any luck. And that's after 18 years of going to the salon. Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing your knowledge. My first attempt at dipping was embarrassingly bad, so now I'm trying to learn tips. I'm hoping my 2nd attempt will be better. Tutorials like yours are very helpful! Thanks!
Hey, thought ill answer some of your questions, as i have literally binge watched her vids! Lol Im pretty sure she has a video on filing and preparing her vid, but there is plenty on youtube which explain how to get the perfect base. Most of her vides now have captions of what she is using i.e. dip powder names and top coats. The reason gel is a better option, (it is purely personal preference). But you get longer wear out of nails as they get stronger with the uv light and also they will be super shiny in comparison to dip top coats or regular polisb top coats. Hope this helped :)
I love your videos. They are clear and concise. Even though I am a retired professional nail tech, doing acrylic and natural nail manicures for over 20 years. I struggle with the application of the dip powder. Especially with the nails on my right hand. They are so uneven, I end up filing off a layer to get them smooth. You can imagine the ramifications of that! Any suggestions? Also I look forword to seeing a video on fills. Every professional I spoke to who did the dip powder told me that the nails must be totally removed and reapplied. That just doesn't seem right to me.
Beautiful job as always! I have only had tips at the salon if I broke a nail so I could keep all my other nail length. Now that I'm doing my own it's good to know how to do it. I cut my nail length down a lot since the salon and I actually like them shorter. 🥰
I absolutely loved this video. I'm new to dip powder nails and I plan on using tips and this video was fantastic. You've definitely earned a new subscriber.
For a beginner what nail speed should you be on when you are cleaning the cuticles or filing the nail so its flush with the natural nail? I got one of the drills you recommended so Id appreciate any tips. I'm going to learn to do dip with tips lol. Im excited
I've been sick and haven't done my nails in so long i need a refresher just to be sure!! Thanks for this!! Came right to you! I'll get them done today, if it kills me!! I started yesterday haha, I'm all ready to apply!!
Love this video. Its so hard to find Dip Powder videos with nail tip attachments( I always see full nail attchments or natrual.) . I just started using nail tip attachment to give my naturnal more strength cause its so weak. Im the exact way the pinky is the hardest to file and buff lol. Thank you for the video.
They came out nice!! I don't use tips, but thanks for demonstrating the technique. Tomorrow I am going to do a Spring mani using real flowers like you demonstrated in your other vid!!! Everyone is healthy in my family...hope your stepdad and everyone is ok in your family also!!! xoxoxo Gabrielle
gablofaso hey sweets.. sadly, step dad passed away from covid complications but mom is recovering and finally out of quarantine (don’t know if I told you - they both had covid) so at least there’s that. How are y’all doin?
Marla Kris oh my god, Marla I am so deeply sorry! Man this disease is merciless!!! So glad that your mom is okay, but she must be devastated. My own mom and stepdad live in Setauket and I am trying to keep them in the house (despite my stepdad trying to sneak out for frivolous things🙄). I have a number of patients who have also lost loved ones...nobody is prepared to deal with unexpected grief!!! Anyway, my unceremoniously condolences to you sweetie...and if there is anything I can do up here for your family, please let me know 💗😘
gablofaso thanks so much, Gab. I had a strong feeling it was going this way so I tried to mentally prepare for it. And trying to see the positive through it - mom is ok. That’s what I got. She’s of course devastated but she’s also the toughest woman I know and I’m confident she’ll get through it. And yell at your step dad for me! Continued prayers for you and your family. Hopefully this nonsense has an end in sight and normality isn’t just a pipe dream! Stay well, my friend 💕💜
Perfect video today! I'm planning on adding tips but would also like to use color dip powder. Should I build my apex with the clear tip first? Also what is the trick to not wreck the dip color when buffing the nails after applying the activator?
Omg! Those came out abosolutely beautiful. I LOVE a long nail, (i keep mine long). You you have a pretty darn good eye, those babies wer all the same length! Love watching you!
Hi!! I am a new subscriber and just wanted to say THANK YOU for your videos! They are so great. I am currently waiting for my starter kit from Peppi Gel and am super excited to try doing my own dip nails for the first time. Also, YES!! I would LOVE to see a video on a fill! I had no idea you could do that with dip nails. Anyway, Thanks again!!
Becca Trotter hey lovie! Welcome to the family!! I’m so glad to have you and happy you’re enjoying the vids! You’re gonna LOVE peppi! Such an awesome product and company!
I would love to see a video done with white tips I’m nervous to try the clear power over plain white tips. Interested to see if it will look like a good French manicure.
Hi Marla! Thanks so much for doing this video! Helped me out so much! Would you recommend the natural color or clear color more? What’s the difference with them when product is on them? Thanks so much for your help! Love your videos’
Marla, I watch several videos + listening to your music really gets me in the mood! This is many moons before I actually subbed you because I liked your style! On one hand, (my dominant, which is my leftie, always looks great. My right, not so much...but I am allowing that to formulate! Today...October 7th, I just finished...I do not like what I am looking at. My nailbeds hurt on 4 of my fingers! Please, tell me what I did wrong? I thought things were going great. Other than that.....doing nails really calms me down! No anxiety here! 2 Thumbs up! Just thought you would like to know! Have an awesome week!
Thank you! I bite my nails but manage to atop when I have dip on them. They’re so short that I need tips to have a short regular nail. This was helpful
Can you please mention what the products you are using are? I love your videos and have found it is the easiest one to follow. I do my nails as a hobby also and always looking for new ideas. Thank you.
Thank you Marla for your video. I have been wanting to add some length to my nails and don't want to use the full coverage nails. At what step would you add the peel base on so that you can add either gel color or dip for the easy removal.
Marla Kris I had to take off my tips because I tore my cuticles and nails all up trying to efile 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️😭😭 I have just short nails now and every time I get my hands wet my cuticles are burning (which now is not the time to be avoiding getting my hands wet) I’m a mess 😭😭
Marla, I'm just a few months late in commenting on this one, but as a hot mess sister, you have the most beautiful skin! I'm going to join the FB group too-well hopefully 😄 they will let me join. I love your channel, your voice, your content. I've recently been diagnosed with Sjogrens syndrome which has decimated my once beautiful nails, hopefully they will somewhat recover. But, I do so appreciate your artistry! ♥️♥️♥️
I have a video idea! 💁🏽♀️ If you were stranded on an island with all your nails supplies BUT could only take 10 dip powder colors what would they be!🥰
Yes I wish you would of tried to do this with unt to see if it works with reapplying them but either way I love it all thanks bc I have tips and been waiting for this
A fill in video would be awesome!!! Also! Would love to see you do a video review with All Powdered Up powders!! They’re amazing! New-ish company (since January). But would love to see how you would use them color combo wise. 💕🥰 keep up the good work! Love watching all your videos!!!
Hello... I noticed that you used a different base coat... So you do not have to use the same base coat(brand) as the dip powder? I have a base coat by Modelones that I used for polygel... Thanks, love your videos!
I absolutely would love a fill-in video. If you’ve used DipWell products before that would be great as well cuz I just ordered a bunch of DipWell powders as well.
Idk how I got so lucky but I found a nat plus portable e-file on Amazon! I can’t wait til it comes so I can use it. I have such an issue with lifting after like a week and a half so I’m hoping it will fix that problem. A fill in video would be awesome too! I stress-picked my dip off so now my nails are splitting! I don’t want to have to cut them off when I remove so knowing how to fill them would be a lifesaver! 🙌🏻😂
Alexandra Vandehey oooh lucky ducky!! That’s so awesome! You’ll have to let me know how you like it after you get to play with it. Fill in filmed and should be uploaded next week! Yay!
You make that look so easy if I was to try that I would probably glue the nail upside down on my finger 😂 God I wish I could do that it looks so stinkin good it is so good everything you do turns out perfect it seems good for you sweetie 😘❤️
I am like you, trying to grow out my reg nails, so been having nail tips done, should be able to skip the tips come next appt, reg nails have gotten pretty long over the past month, hoping to get just clear dips over reg nails. Watching you actually has made me think I may try to do my own once my nails are needing just dips for strength. I actually saw a rubber gel, could you try that & give your opinion? BTW your nails look great, good luck with school too. I was mom that went back to high school, I had gotten my GED but wanted my diploma so I went to school when my kids went to school, I think it helped, I never had to get on them about doing homework or getting up in the morning, they both graduated w honors, daughter was the valedictorian & son high honors plus he went on to college & did high honors again. Proud Mama if I do say so my self.
Hey love! Stay tuned! I have a rubber base gel video coming on Thursday! And thank you so much! I graduated in 2021 with my BS but I may go back eventually for my masters. That’s awesome! I’m glad you went back! I’m so proud of you toooooo! That’s such a huge accomplishment 💞
Do you recommend buffing and/or fileing your natural nails before applying tips or even just dips? I didn't see you do that and I assumed it was necessary to prevent lifting. So confused🤨
I’d love to see a closer view of the underside of your nails so I can see what it’s supposed to look like. My first attempt of just one nail feels way too thick even after e-filing forever. There is also a gap between the center of my natural nail so I’m certainly removing this today.
I want to see a fill in…didn’t know that’s possible…also I do everything you do and even so I still get ragged cuticles. I am doing my own nails. My salon just got product in. So I’m practicing on myself and a few clients till I get the technique down.
It’s so easy to over file! I find it helpful to file a little - stop and re-examine the nails and proceed as necessary. Also, what bit are you using? You definitely want a fine grit for such a thin overlay ❤️
@@nobodysho1337 stick to diamond bits or fine carbide/ceramic. Also, I like to keep the efile around 12k rpm. Any lower and you’ll be taking chunks out, any higher and you’ll lose control quick.
I'm looking for the Triple Vitamin base using the link you provided but it will only take me to the activator - looks like the only way to buy the base (step 2) is the large refillable set which is over $100. Do you buy yours this way? I want to buy just one bottle - help please - also I love your channel !! You are a genius :)
Ok so if you had changed your mind and were to put color on these would you just do 2 dips of color after your clear dips before activating? And then follow with filing ?
Awesome application! I want to see how you store your dips. Lol I need help with my organization and have no clue how to start. Also, can we pinch dipped nails? My nails are on the flat side...is it possible? Help Dip Queen lol
Tina Asfour hey girl! Nail area tour is coming and you’ll see ALL my storage! Yep - you can absolutely pinch. Right after you’ve applied activator is a great time. 💜
I’m only going to do my own nails, should I get the melodie Susan portable or the Scarlett nail drill? I’ve tried the one for about 30 dollars and it’s to fast!
You can absolutely use a hand file. I’d suggest one of those super slim metal flexy files and get right in between the cuticle skin and the product. That should help you get that smooth cuticle line.
I have super flat nails. I recently saw a video using a pincher on acrylic nails to get a perfect C curve, I also read you can do it on dip nails too... could you do a video on that?!?
Yes seeing a fill would be nice I always just start over every time I do my nails
Brandy Robinson I got you! 💕
Me too!
Please
Yes and we really shouldn’t have to right ? IMO you should be able to fill just like the others.
I just did the VO for the fill video! It’s literally the easiest fill EVER! Soon loves!
Ok, Marla. I’ve been binging on your videos for 2 days now. You’ve built up my confidence to attempt my own dip nails. I can’t even polish my own nails, but I’m going to order a Revel starter kit and give this a whirl! Thanks for all the great content!

I purchased tips a long time ago, just purchased clear dip.. can’t wait to get home and get to work on my nails. You’ve encouraged me !
I like watching ur videos. Ur easygoing relaxed and u don’t take it to serious they can be take off and redone at anytime!

Kat-Lyn D girl - same! And thank you!! 💕
I like how you apply the dipping powder. I understand u aren't a professional but I'm going to try it your way. I think it'll turn out Awesome 😁 ty

Steffi P I’m not usually a tip person but I got so tired of seeing my bitties on lefty while right looked perfect - so tips it is for now lol
Absolutely love this mani!!!! I love my long nails. Can’t cut them short 🙁 These are gorgeous! Can’t wait for the fill video.
Im so excited, i bought a cheap kit from ebay and im ganna try and learn how to do them during these boring days

I love your work! I am just getting started doing my own nails and I find your videos very helpful. Thank you!!
Tracy Perez thank you so much!! And thanks for taking me on your dip journey. I’m honored 💙
hey love your videos, quick tip I've learnt is pinching my nails. It helps with achieving a better C curve
I enjoyed and learned from the tutorial ! Your presentation is so natural! Thank you!
Thank you so much! 🥺💞🥰

Of course! I’ll even do an updated one for you! 🩷
Yes absolutely! I need to fill mine currently because my nail tips won’t be in for 2-3 weeks 😢 and my natural nails are still growing
Amber Allen I got you! Coming soon!! 💕
Marla Kris 😘❤️🙏🏻
Perfect video today! I'm planning on adding tips but would also like to use color dip powder. Should I build my apex with the clear tip first? Also what is the trick to not wreck the dip color when buffing the nails after applying the activator?
I haven’t tried tips yet with dip! Thanks for the vid, gonna try it tonight. *fingered crossed*
Thank You!!!! For this?! I had to do tips on two of my nails?! Wish I’d seen the video first?! But now I know?!! LOL!!! Thank You!!!!
Omg! Those came out abosolutely beautiful. I LOVE a long nail, (i keep mine long). You you have a pretty darn good eye, those babies wer all the same length! Love watching you!
Jennifer Villescas thank you so much!! I really loved them too!! 💜
I've never done tips on myself but this definitely makes me want to try!
I love your videos. My nails turn out beautiful every time! 😍
Aww yay!! I love to hear that! And thank you so much!
Loved your video. You made it look so easy lots easier than the old way. Do you know if you can use chrome powder over dip nails ?
You sure can!!
I love your work! I would love to see some different powder colors with ombré! Maybe some more nail art and stamping!
Ann Clarke Thank you so much! I have all of the above planned!! Stay tuned! 💜
I love the square nails too! So thankful I found your video!...everyone is doing coffin...& I’m just not a fan...so...Thank You!🤙❤️🌺
Marla, I watch several videos + listening to your music really gets me in the mood!
Definite would love to see a dip fill!
Susan S. Soon, love! 💜
Hey lady, great video!!!
Question for you? When you’re filing your nails after the application what speed are you on?
Thanks bunches
Summer Kaba hey girlie! Def depends on the file but I keep mine at around 9-10k after app
Marla Kris I had to take off my tips because I tore my cuticles and nails all up trying to efile 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️😭😭
I have just short nails now and every time I get my hands wet my cuticles are burning (which now is not the time to be avoiding getting my hands wet) I’m a mess 😭😭
Marla Kris one more question what was the clear you said you loved and would be using after your kiara sky ran out?
Marla, I'm just a few months late in commenting on this one, but as a hot mess sister, you have the most beautiful skin! I'm going to join the FB group too-well hopefully 😄 they will let me join. I love your channel, your voice, your content. I've recently been diagnosed with Sjogrens syndrome which has decimated my once beautiful nails, hopefully they will somewhat recover. But, I do so appreciate your artistry! ♥️♥️♥️
Yes please do a video with a fill in with dip. If you could also share how you change the color with dip tips
Love these tips! I'm going to try to get them on my nails.
I have a video idea! 💁🏽♀️ If you were stranded on an island with all your nails supplies BUT could only take 10 dip powder colors what would they be!🥰
Aubrey Kaech oooh.. that’s a good one! So tough bc I feel like my faves change on the daily lol but I got you! 💜
Yes I wish you would of tried to do this with unt to see if it works with reapplying them but either way I love it all thanks bc I have tips and been waiting for this
Peel off base lol UNT
Astaria I wish I had tooooo but I absolutely will in the near future!
A fill in video would be awesome!!! Also! Would love to see you do a video review with All Powdered Up powders!! They’re amazing! New-ish company (since January). But would love to see how you would use them color combo wise. 💕🥰 keep up the good work! Love watching all your videos!!!
Rachel Mendez I just got some APU powders! Video to come! 💜
Marla Kris eeeekkkk!!!! Can’t wait!!
video idea - for a new dip nail DIYer essentials... (essentially your kit to dip powder nails at home) love the vidoes!!
I want a favorites video! Favorite base, clear dip, dip powder etc. Sorry if you have this and I couldn’t find it!
I love dip powder nails! Great video 💖💖
how many coats of activator did you do and how long did you wait until you filed?
Love how these turned out 💕
Will you try the AVVA dip kit? Your videos are so helpful I’m so glad I stumbled on this!!
I cut my nails down to short so I will definitely be using this video to add tips today!
Love the tips. I think Im going to add tips because I sure couldn't use the poly gel. My real nails just do not want to grow no matter what I do.
They turned out great. I'm just scared of tips. I hove always thought they would mess my nails up. 🤷♀️ Thank you Much❤
Tammy Slatten don’t be scared! The only thing that messes nails up is ripping product off and over filing.
@@MarlaKris so you just soak them off?
Tammy Slatten yep! Same way I always soak off! The tips dissolve in acetone!
@@MarlaKris thank you. Much ❤
Kat-Lyn D just filmed DipWell! Didn’t hate it lol you’ll see both vids soon! 💜
Marla Kris yay!!! Lol @ “didn’t hate it.” Was it better or worse than the Club Color SerenDIPity collection? I’ve been binging your videos!
Mary Lance Lol it’s easier than you think it is! Don’t over think it. 💕
I am like you, trying to grow out my reg nails, so been having nail tips done, should be able to skip the tips come next appt, reg nails have gotten pretty long over the past month, hoping to get just clear dips over reg nails. Watching
you actually has made me think I may try to do my own once my nails are needing just dips for strength.
@@MarlaKris thank you
They look fantastic! 👏👏👏
Now Marla... you know it’s way too early in the morning to challenge us to a drinking game! 😂 And hells yeah we need a fill vid!
Amber Holguin 🤣🤣 hey - it’s 5 o’clock somewhere!
Do you recommend buffing and/or fileing your natural nails before applying tips or even just dips? I didn't see you do that and I assumed it was necessary to prevent lifting. So confused🤨
Will you leave everything in the description box? Lol really surprised that it's hard to tell you used tips! Looks great💕💕
Nails 4 the Week 🤣🤣🤣 it’ll be in the description box!
Hey @Marla Kris do you still use mia secret nail prep when prepping your nails or have you found something better???
I’d love to see a closer view of the underside of your nails so I can see what it’s supposed to look like. My first attempt of just one nail feels way too thick even after e-filing forever. There is also a gap between the center of my natural nail so I’m certainly removing this today.
Omg yes a fill in. And this is so helpful
Very helpful video thanks for sharing ☺️
I want to see a fill in…didn’t know that’s possible…also I do everything you do and even so I still get ragged cuticles. I am doing my own nails. My salon just got product in. So I’m practicing on myself and a few clients till I get the technique down.
This was o helpful!! Thank you so much for making it!!
Would like to see gel method with tips! does the apex method apply when using the gel method? Thank you!
Love this look! Wondering how you know how much to file? I think I’m overfiling 😢with the e-file…
It’s so easy to over file! I find it helpful to file a little - stop and re-examine the nails and proceed as necessary. Also, what bit are you using? You definitely want a fine grit for such a thin overlay ❤️
@@MarlaKris I’m sure I am using one that is too coarse, plus I never know what speed to set the dial on my drill
@@nobodysho1337 stick to diamond bits or fine carbide/ceramic. Also, I like to keep the efile around 12k rpm. Any lower and you’ll be taking chunks out, any higher and you’ll lose control quick.
they do look really natural, i like that..
Are you able to use acrylic powder to do this ? And is nail art foil glue good for using in between dips? I’m trying to use wat I have
I’ve had to rewatch this a couple times today bc im doing tips on someone today 😅😂
Ok so if you had changed your mind and were to put color on these would you just do 2 dips of color after your clear dips before activating? And then follow with filing ?
Yep exactly!!
Tina Asfour what do you mean by “pinch”.
I’m only going to do my own nails, should I get the melodie Susan portable or the Scarlett nail drill? I’ve tried the one for about 30 dollars and it’s to fast!
Do you have to use the drill bit close to the end when u used it? Or can I just use the regular file and get the same results? They look so beautiful
You can absolutely use a hand file. I’d suggest one of those super slim metal flexy files and get right in between the cuticle skin and the product. That should help you get that smooth cuticle line.
@@MarlaKris Thank you so much. This is my first time fingers crossed.
I have super flat nails. I recently saw a video using a pincher on acrylic nails to get a perfect C curve, I also read you can do it on dip nails too... could you do a video on that?!?
Yes a fill in would be awesome 😎
Hey Marla! When you started filing with the barrel, how high did you have the efile on?
