      @@agadmator Just for the record: The expression "In Deutsch" does exist, but not in this particular case. Correct is "Auf Deutsch". :)

      As 'in' is the English way to put it, I think, we can give him that.
      It was surprising that he said 'Deutsch' in the first place.
      Although, in retrospect, 'Auf Deutsch' would indeed have been more sound.

      His the pride of my little Island, Cuba. Capa was one of the greatest genius that ever lived, that's what experts say about him. He crushed some of those arrogants at the San Sebastian tournament. Glad you enjoy chess like me. Adios.

    Casablanca reminds me of Carlsen. He’s an endgame monster but also it seems like he knows how to capitalize on the smallest mistake or advantage. Wish he was around today to see him play

    This shows how just 1 mistake or inaccuracy can cost you the game against an opponent like Capablanca. Chess is such a beautiful game when played by the best.

    It is so impressive how Capablanca crushes Blackburne after it was pretty equal before the unexcellently played Nd8. In the end Capa’s position is so overwhelming. His knight sacrifice and pawn push on the kingside is just beautiful.

    Just FYI, "draughts" is pronounced the same as "drafts." In some words, "gh" makes an "f" sound. Enough is the most common example but occasionally you run across others.

    This game style of Capa reminds me of AlphaZero themes mentioned in that book you recommended. The superhuman combination of file+diagonal exploitation of Capa is just so awesome! I hope the publishers of Game Changer will somehow compensate you for the increase of their sales. 😊👌

    In the italian opening, if black plays 3...Nd4 as you showed; that is Blackburne's own "shilling gambit" the name comes from the money (shillings) he earned by winning games against mostly amateur players with this gambit.

    Is the crosstable correct? I thought Lasker DEFEATED Capablanca in St Petersburg in 1914, but this crosstable shows them drawing. Which is correct?

    #suggestion Can you show us the match of Rubinstein vs Alekhine in this first round robin in which Rubinstein lost, or perhaps do an Alekhine series after the Capablanca series since Alekhine is the next world champion chronologically?

Il fut l'un des rares joueurs forts de l'époque à ne pas se prendre au sérieux.     What if in the end white doubles up on the g file instead capturing the bishop on g7?
    Is that just an unspectacular (and thusly not as noteworthy) line to white's victory from that position, or does this give black the chance for counter play?

      Yeah imo carlsen is number one because hes one of the few top players that doesnt rely so much on memorised lines. Chess has gotten really boring because of the reliance on engines.

    I found queen to d1 with an attack on the rook, also with an idea of going gueen to g4 preventing the king from capturing on g7, is it wrong?

      The way the final standings are set up isn't actually the order of the games, It's saying Capa beat the 4th 6th 8th 9th 10th and 11th placed players when he played them, so Blackburne didn't win his last game, but simply his game against Gunsberg (thats why there is the diagonal of stars across the chart, as Lasker cannot play Lasker so he never played the person who finished 2nd during this leg of the tournament)

      Because of Nxf7 , Kxf7 , Qh5+ with Queen takes Night on next move. White has 2 pawns for the piece and the black King is exposed.
