    Wow, Dr. H... What magnificent technology. This is the first I've heard about this. I'm going to forward your video to my congressman & senators, and hopefully, they are already aware of this brilliance. My condolences and continued prayers for you & your family on the loss of your beloved son. ❤

    I used to have nightmares about my brother who was killed by a drunk driver. I haven't had one in a long time. I'm so sorry you had a nightmare about your son. 💔😪

    Doc, this is great news but I have to ask you: many asthma inhalers are made with alcohol. One brand I used was 34% alcohol and it smelled like I was drinking. Can the sensors detect the difference?

      @Hypatia52 Месяц назад +1

      I hadn't thought of that, but yes the Atrovent does. However, it dissipates quickly. A wait of 2 minutes would probably do it, after all it's measured in micrograms & it's aerosolized as well.

      @@Hypatia52 The one I was referencing didn't dissipate very quickly; this was back in the 1970s. My stepfather was a cop and that inhaler, depending on how many and how deep I inhaled that stuff, was strong. I think it's still on the market but it really had more than a few folks think I was an alcoholic. I hope the sensors really do help; while I worked at the local hospital after school, I remember a horrific accident that occurred. My stepfather was on duty that night and was worried my half-brother was out with the couple involved in the accident. Of the 4 people in the car, 2 died, one was critically injured and the driver walked away unscathed. He said the deceased couple looked like bad advertisements for French-cut strignbeans. My half-brother wasn't with them but was known to hang out with the driver; not after that accident. The driver was drinking that night.

    That’s amazing I’m glad it’s coming. Love that the tech is being put into cars w/o added device being necessary. Trauma causes lots of nightmares. No one e should outlive their children. Your hair is extra fluffy in this video. Lol Joking aside, thank your for sharing your story & how it affects you personally. Prayers & Best Wishes

    I hope it does go into effect because so many lives are lost. From drunk drivers and from people that are drunk that are driving. My condolences to you and your family regarding your son. When they're young, they're invincible. Peace 🙏🏻🕊️

    I love your channel doc. How specific is the device? What if your passenger has been drinking?

  • @lindabruns6020

    Genius! Not many people can afford a new car so it should be a law that all cars be equipped with this feature which cannot be disconnected. Innocent people should not die because of someone else getting behind the wheel with alcohol in their system!

    Can a driver deceive the sensor by wearing a mask? What if a passenger has consumed alcohol? The concept is great but I am concerned about a driver's ability to trick the sensor.

    Great technology. 99.9% means about once every three years, the car will not start even when sober? What does the driver do then?I gotta watch the detailed video, maybe they describe how that would work
