Yesss to this conversation especially Duke mentioning that insecurity isn't always about the person it could be centered on a lack of trust around decision making, discernment etc.

I honestly used to think "that guy is scarce" too like Duke was talking about .. but honestly, since watching this podcast for over a year now, it has changed that belief in me to know that there are quality men out here and they're not scarce.. I clearly was just looking in the wrong places and even with that belief alone, there's no surprise that's what ima see/find/attract. So I no longer believe great men are scarce because of being exposed to more examples of it, it allowed that belief to change in me, and now allows me to see & attract a plethora of great men and I don't feel any rush to latch on to anyone right away, cuz it's not a scarcity thing to me anymore. So appreciation to yall for helping me shift my perspective and belief in ways that are beneficial 🙏🏾✨️

My father raised me and it definitely helped me to not be territorial of men. I learned very young. I never put pressure on my now husband. This episode is very needed for women who feel they need control over their relationship. 💯👍🏾

Wow. This episode was eye opening. Control, manipulation, trust, peace. Thank you for sharing different perspectives without judgement but with realness. Sometimes people don’t realize they are being controlling or being controlled because it’s masked as love and care. I appreciate this podcast so much. Bless you all.

Control = lack of vulnerability because in being vulnerable you have to tell your friend, partner, spouse about your boundaries/non- negotiables. In doing so if they fail to respect your boundaries you have to make a decision whether to move forward or not.
Being controlling, lacking vulnerability allows you to know how the movie ends.

😂😂😂I love how secure they feel in their idea that their woman would be so distraught after they die, when that’s the furthest thing from the truth. They are projecting how men feel onto women. Men are devastated when the their woman dies because their caretaker is gone, but women are saddened when their man dies because their companion is gone. She still has children, friends, and family to care for and support. My great grandmother out lived 3 husbands and I asked her how, she told me “once physical intimacy leaves the relationship (which it always does) at that point it’s either a good cohabitation or a bad cohabitation”. My husbands grandmother just made 92, she spent 67 years with his grandfather, he passed about 5 years ago. The entire 24 years I’ve been with my husband I could always pop up at there house and she’d be home, now I have to call, because she’s always at her sister’s, her daughter’s, out of town, or shopping somewhere. I’ve also worked in assisted living homes and most of the women would say, although they lost the love of their life, they still live long fulfilling lives after, because they have other people to live for. I’m sure it hurts to lose a spouse, but it’s not like losing a child or a parent.

This episode really came at a time when my partner and I were having a discussion about being controlled. And lately I’ve been feeling so caught up with my emotions and kids and being his partner that I haven’t been focus on myself. I’ve been trying to control him and his behavior because I was not able ( so I thought ) to do whatever I wanted to do just for me. This added some additional confirmation that I cannot control him I must allow him to do him and he is showing me he will support me in my own adventure of self. He told me he loves me and trust me and wants me to be happy! I need to let go of the past experience and lack of self control and worth so that I’m not pushing this man away. Not because he doesn’t love me but because I am trying to control him and everything because I’m afraid to say I want to be free to me be too!! I also want to be with you too sometimes! I want to feel free to go without feeling guilty you have the kids and I don’t! And him telling me go! I love you and our kids ( his step children) and I trust you and us! Get back to you and being happy we both need it and we will always be together, we will always make time and want to be with each other ❤. Peace and blessings y’all
