I have always changed my phone every few months and I have always gone for flagship devices because I did not want to deal with things like bad haptics, uneven display bezels, bad cameras, etc. I changed to the 2a as an experiment for myself and I found that this is a very solid device for the price.
The performance was solid and only slightly slower than a flagship, but it is barely noticeable. The cameras also aren't as good as a flagships but the quality and performance are totally acceptable. I take a lot of photos and I found that the photos are genuinely impressive for the price of the device. The even bezel display is beautiful and smooth, haptics are great, charging speeds are sufficiently fast, and the glyphs are a nice touch.
Nothing OS is also a refreshing experience for me from the animations to the whole look of the OS. Nothing Apps are very nice to use, and the widgets add a nice touch to your homescreen. I also thought I would hate the plastic and lightweight build but I actually found it really nice and comfortable to have something so lightweight. And it being plastic, it's nice that it is very durable and having something I dont need to baby or worry about as much as an expensive flagship. All in all, it is a very impressive device for me, coming from all manner of flagship devices including iPhones, and it might just be the device i carry around for the long term.
bro you described this phone perfectly. It's not the best but it's uniqueness backs up fot its lack of high-end specs. The camera is indeed passable 😂
Hey great review as always. For the price of 13000 baht here in Thailand is not bad considering that much battery life, amazing software,and pretty okayish camera.

I have an iPhone 15 Pro but still bought the Nothing Phone 2A as my backup phone. So far, I can say it's the best phone purchase I've ever made. I really like the software and the value they offer for the price. Also, the battery life and charging speed are insane. It literally charges three times faster and has a longer battery life than the iPhone 15 Pro.

An amazing phone! Only problem that I am currently facing is the image retentions on the OLED panel. The navigation bar kinda burnt in my screen & I think it occurs due to its software not having pixel shift. Hopefully they release a new update fixing this issue.
didn't know that kind of problem happens on the Nothing Phone. Hope an update fixes it!

nothing couldn't solve the issue where you zoom in the picture you captured you will lose details, they have been struggling from np1 and i always raised the issue in discord community but nothing changed till date the same issue continues with phone2 and 2a
hope they fix it with the Phone 3 😩

Is nothing supposed to be teaming up with Google Pixel to help improve their post photo processing? Maybe I've just imagined this . I thought the camera was pretty good for its price point 😊
I wouldn't say it's good but it's okay at best 😂
@@JosellClark not forgetting user involvement and some skill , use of light , EV etc. Any phone camera can take sub par photos if taken without using the aforementioned 😊

man I think any device that uses a battery will drain faster in the long run. Battery integrity goes lower the more it is used.
It's been 3 months I'm using 2a. Battery is good. I get around 8-10 hrs sot. With brightness around 40-50%

When we move the phone from right to left or left ro right the motion blur effect is too much compared to other phones... Anyone agree ??
it's the rolling shutter effect I think. It's when a camera has weak stabilization so when the phone is moved from left to right the top and bottom part of the video doesn't match which creates that jello like look 😂

bruh I think that's pretty normal on any phone. Try turning off the mobile data or updating your OS

because I've seen plenty midrange phones with bad stabilization and frame drops while taking videos, what would be you choice for videos in midrange?
we don't really have much options for good stabilization in midrange phones. Even flagship phones are not perfect with stabilization too. Check out Google phones though they have one of the best cameras in the market right now!

Brightness quality is very low😢😢😢
not really I can still see it under sunlight and I don't think I've ever maxed the brightness on any phones I've used 😂
It's brighter than a Samsung A54/55 in both manual and auto adaptive brightness, which is very good for its price point 😊
