All footage was shot either on Galaxy Z Fold 4 or Nothing Phone 2A (mentioned in captions). I wanted to do this to give context to the Nothing phone's video capabilities in contrast with a much more expensive phone.
Your post on this phone is fabulous! Your presentation was both captivating and informative! Was completely engrossed in listening to you, and especially loved how you interestingly took us through a timeline for the battery life. Look forward to more such reviews from you.
Actually the long processing time is because Nothing is the only company using RAW photos for HDR processing instead of stacking JPEGs like Google and Apple, etc. This was very interesting to me. If Google and Apple used RAW photos stacking for HDR processing instead of stacking JPEGs, they would be in a league of their own.
To be fair, the pixel also took time to process .. well the 6 did anyway. Maybe they've become faster now.
That is not true. Apple, google and Samsung use raw to stack hdr .
users should have the option to toggle between the two

That's a very good video review on the phone (pun intended), with usage it could probably end up giving you better battery life than it is right now, which is amazing. I'd be curious to see how the GCam mods fare on this phone as they made a huge difference on the NP2.
Since the NP2a has a mediatek processor, GCam most likely won't be available for it.
@@subhojitsaha2558 It's not that it won't be available, it's just that it'll take a longer time to have a decently working apk available for it, there have been phones w MediaTek processors in the past that have gotten an update. Given how widespread the adoption of the NP2a is, I won't be surprised if in sometime there's a dev who starts working on it.

This is the best review of the phone I've seen. Thank you. I'm now convinced to buy this phone. I have the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ for two months now. That phone didn't really grow on me. And as you said in the video bloat ware 😒 and with latest update it's even more iOS copy and not unique.

Bought the phone, downgraded from Samsung S23. I'm IMPRESSED! It's perfect in many ways and good enough in some.
You should have included some pointers about how they can work on improving it. This is me watching your yt video for the first time and I think it's fun to watch, however I would also like to add that you are not a good critique when it comes to brand reviews! I might be wrong for all i know, but next time you give a brand review which goes directly to their owners/inverters, don't make it all about the good things.
Aside from the cameras, does the phone run very smoothly with no lag or anything in the interface and apps?

@Donn_ all my usage was with dynamic refresh rate..like I said in the video, every one in a while there'll be an occasional stutter...to be fair that happens on my z fold also lol

Apps perform smoothly..literally nothing much to speak about. Gaming on high refresh rate is not its forte.. also not really what they're aiming for.

The camera has had 2 major updates since the launch so saturation and exposure have been toned down, hopefully it gets close to pixel 7a levels by the time they are done with it
Also they've fixed the stuttering issue when opening apps and other smoothness across the ui
This review was done after the first update and holds good after the second ( I checked before publishing)...and yes, stuttering has improved even after the first update..hence my comments on the same
Nothing phone 2a doesn't support 4k video streaming at all
Basically, if your looking for a phone which has good software, good cameras or a unique design. This is the best phone to get, if your looking for a performance based phone I recommend the Poco X6 Pro!
