VAN TOUR: Solo Female w/ 2 Cats

- Hi! I'm Quin and have been living in my van w/ my 2 CATS, Atlas and Otto, since February 2021. After working for seven years in a corporate position as a marketing director and event producer for a magazine, I decided to leave my position, take a risk and jump into #solofemalevanlife w/ my two cats. Together we have done over 30,000 miles across 15 different states in my 2020 AWD Ford Transit 148.
In this video, I will show you my cute little cat mobile equipped with: a litterbox, composting toilet, a pocket door, 2 burner stovetop w/ cover, 300 amp hour batteries, solar panels, rooftop deck, hidden desk, pull-out table, heater for WINTER van life, snowboard rack, adventure garage and special windows & fans to keep the cats nice and cool.

@@barbarossacoffee8011 they do! if you saw in the beginning they get to explore and go on hikes and stuff so they actually get to roam more than the typical house cat ;)

I do not have a van yet. I do not drive yet. I have cats. One with me here in the city and one in the province with family. . I wanna try to live in a van and travel anywhere. Haha

This has been my dream for years! I hope one day I can make it a reality. I have lived with 1-2 cats for the last 25+ years and that has always been a major concern. I love your setup and how well it accommodates your fur babies. I'm curious what dating life is like as a solo nomadic female.

Ohhhh I hope you can make it a reality too! Ok so dating life.... is.... very difficult hahaha. I'lll make a video about it but it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Plus, I move around a LOT, so it's almost impossible.

Honestly I don't remember seeing this on anyone else's build and I don't watch too many of these videos but such a great idea and I get nervous about single girls I know anyone is vulnerable but I just also know creeps and predators are more likely to harass or bother a single female

Also, I have a cat who loves the exact same toys and one time he ate three of them and had to go to the emergency vet. Needless to say, he only gets to play with them with supervision now. 😄

Same here, we had the same toys and we had to get rid of them as they kept eating them :( they have springs now that they love and they are a bit bigger so they can't eat them. Silly kitties 😻

Great tour. I definitely identify with you on the less is more with the dishes and other items. When I camp I take a little list of some of the things I didn’t use and strip them out next time. Plus more room for nice food :)

Great tour and design/lifestyle. I really like this is and looks like a lived in van! The light switch has finger marks, the fridge has little bits of food mess, the lounge chair has stains. This isn’t a criticism, I love it! It’s used, it’s enjoyed, it’s real! 😍 thank you for sharing soooo m in. Happy and safe travels 🐨
I actually really appreciate this comment. I try to show van life in a realistic light + the van is ALWAYS dirty no matter how you clean it... so sometimes I really don't want to clean those little marks hahah. so thank you :)

hahahahha the cat hair NEVER ENDS. I get asked all the time how I deal w/ it and I'm like.... it's overtaken the van, the cat hair is the captain now. hahah
Nice little home! I salute you for bringing the kitties. Kit Cornell & I couldn’t be van lifers. We both get carsick. Safe travels~😻 (plus Kit is very active, lots of energy. She needs space to do her laps & leaps as she’s an indoor kitty)

Sweet. You did well Quin. So many good ideas and systems. Yes, and the kettle! :) I might check those out. I had a collapsable non-electric silicon one which was great but I overheated it and caused a leak in the metal bits. I've got a smaller van in a different country and security is always in the back of my mind. Situational awareness is a good friend too. All the best in your travels and way of life.

Well thought out... not only for you but for the cats as well. People who travel with their pets always seem to have a better attitude in general.. and it's good for the critters as well.

Yeah I would recommend travelling with pets too, don‘t do it without because pets add so much, you‘ll never feel completely lonely

A tip for your sink - barkeepers friend powder or cream removes marks. I have a large white sink and I find it shows black marks. Barkeepers friend is your best friend. BTW great van and lovely cars, 😊

Topic for another video- how do you keep the white van so clean and everything in it’s place? I go on a camping trip and within 10 minutes of setting my tent up, it’s a pig sty!
